About
The BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops came to life in 1965 and continues to evolve as a Wildlife Park that showcases the Wildlife of British Columbia and is one of the few Wildlife Rehabilitation Centres in British Columbia. The BC Wildlife Park has 209 animals, including the only Kermode Bear in human care in the world. The BC Wildlife Park’s animals have found their way to us because they were either orphaned, born in another CAZA accredited facility or were brought to our Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre and their injuries have prevented them from being released back into the wild.  The BC Wildlife Park offers many engaging activities that we encourage everyone to enjoy, including feed talks, Bird of Prey shows, a splash park and playground, and the Wildlife Express train. Each visitor to the Park helps our non profit society support the rescue and rehabilitation of British Columbia's animals.

Awesome!
I was blown away at how well maintained this park is. The staff were friendly and the facilities were immaculate. We saw most of the animals on our tour. The paths and landscaping are very well kept. I suggest packing a lunch and spending some time with littles at the playgrounds. The train was closed this visit but the tracks run all over the park. Simply fantastic!!

Good!

It was nice. I wish there was a video cam that gave visitors an idea where the Spirit bear would be. A lot of the visitors wanted to see him/her but we couldn't find. The train was enjoyable too.

Great place to explore while traveling through Kamloops, BC. Most of the animals were clearly visible and it's obvious they are well cared for. We spent about 3 hours walking through the exhibits and look forward to visiting again!

this wildlife park is awesome, most of these animals were rescued and it is so nice to see the care and love they get. the park is clean and well maintained, beautiful garden areas, clean places to sit with family, and a wonderful kid play area. You can see that the animals are healthy and well taken care of. prices are decent. and our family loved the day outside.

Wildlife Park is a good park for Kamloops
Jun 2019
I am biased about this wildlife park as my dad was instrumental and one of the founders of the railroad when the park built the track. He retired as a supervisor on the CPR and brought his many years of experience to the park and helped build the train track. He got great pleasure out of working WITH the enemy train company (Canadian National Railway), the government opposition to the Canadian Pacific Railway. The park planted a tree in his name.

I like how this park is focused on conservation and rehabilitation rather than being a typical "zoo". It is a great place to visit if you are interested in seeing some of BC's beautiful wildlife. I enjoyed the birds of prey exhibit and liked how each animal had their own little story. The admission is quite reasonable (~$13/adult) and there is a petting zoo and maze to keep the kids even more entertained. The hot chocolate and grilled cheese were pretty decent for $7 in the cafe.

Great way to spend the day with your Grandson
Sep 2019
I ended up buying a yearly pass to this venue. I have taken my grandson there 3 times now and we spend a few hours walking around, taking the train a couple of times and having something good to eat in the cafe. It is a great learning center for young children and a good time for them to experience. Lots to do.

Attended the park with our 3 year old granddaughter who loved every second of our adventure. The park is easy to get around and very clean. The park is suited for younger children.
