- 802narissaw0 contributionsCan't thank the team at Forged Axe enough!Came here for a work event, all of of us being newbies. The crew at Forged Axe Throwing were awesome. They were safe, informative, patient, fun, energetic and we couldn't have asked for more. Standard throws & trick shots combined with a little friendly competition and the time just flew by. The location also has charcuterie/snack boxes that you can order and is fully licensed. Highly recommend.Written 10 October 2023

- Bunchkin0 contributionsYou gotta give it a tryGreat instruction for only one other time throwing an axe. Staff are great and help pick up spirits when you are not doing so well. a group of 4 tried this and we always give each other a hard time after but loads of fun trying it out. I think the staff are what truly makes it a memorable fun time. Nice to have the staff stress the safely of the event and the reasoning behind it all makes plenty of sense. Remember close toed shoes.Written 24 June 2023

Went here with another couple. Some of us were experienced at throwing and some were brand new. We all enjoyed it. Can get hot throwing in the summer as the facility is not air conditioned-like all axe throwing places in BC that I know of. We liked that they did have throwing lanes partially outside which was nice on a sunny and not too hot day. It is more expensive here than other throwing places I’ve been but Whistler does tend to be more expensive in general. Guides/trainers are super helpful without being overbearing. Super enjoyable hour.

We have just returned from a wonderful 5 star afternoon at the axe throwing centre just outside of Whistlers main village. We were we received and after our safety talk we experienced different ways to throw axes. Within minutes we were all hitting the board and after some tries a few of us were making bullseyes regularly. The instructor (Ted) had us competing against another team in various games which we managed to win (very safely, I must add)
Definitely a great experience carried out with safety in mind

Forged Axe Throwing is one of the best activities you can do in the Function Junction area! It is very fun with many different games and tricks you can attempt. The best part about it was that our host Tristan was positive and helped us get the technique down within 10 minutes. The experience is quite safe and I would highly recommend it to anyone passing/staying in the area!

This was our second time visiting Forged Axe and certainly won't be the last time.
We have travelled as a large group to Whistler and the ace throwing was top of the list for apres ski. The staff are friendly and welcoming, Tristan was with us all the way through and gave some excellent hints and tips.
Will definitely be coming back on our next trip 🙂

We never tried this before, so that's why we did it! We had a fantastic time - it was fun, easy we checked off another item on our bucket list. The staff was extremely safety conscious and helpful. We had Liz as our coordinator and she was an absolute delight. She coordinated several groups, and gave personalized service along with providing tips on how to improve our chances for hitting a bullseye (or even hitting the board - haha). Would recommend for the whole family, as anyone age 10+ can do this.

My family of four with 2 teenagers had an excellent time here during a day too cold to ski. Tristan kept the energy high, with a perfect balance of practice time, games and trick throws. A fun activity to ramp up your Canadian backwoods cred!

I surprised my husband with a visit to Forged Axe Throwing in Whistler to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Honestly, I picked it because we were spending the day in Whistler and I knew it was going to be raining and needed an indoor activity. I knew he would love it but my expectations for myself were low. Guys! It was SO MUCH FUN! It was way beyond what I expected! We were greeting like old friends by Sarah and then Heather, who ran our session, really made the experience next level. She made sure to help when we were struggling and cheered when we had a win. These "Battle Axes" will be back!

We were in Whistler for 3 nights and prebooked and paid for an axe throwing session from the UK. So glad we did as it was such a great way to spend an hour. Safely organised, Ted, our instructor, taught us lots of techniques and games and we all thoroughly enjoyed the hour. Highly recommend it.

Took my team from Discover Canada Tours to go and experience this activity in Whistler. What a fun team bonding event. After the safety speech in the entrance we proceeded to a separate area with bar facilities and plenty of axes. Our host Ted was amazing, lots of punny jokes and also took time to individually coach each person. We feel we are now prepared for the zombie apocalypse (haha). As an added bonus the location is awesome. Nestled between a couple of breweries and an awesome pizza spot so worth the trip to Function. WORTH THE VISIT .

Whats the best way to get here from whistler village without access to a car
Written 17 January 2022
If you contact the main Whistler tourist site, they can give you the best advice. There is a bus you can take but it was about a 20 minute drive from Whistler in a car. You may want to look at taking a taxi.
