About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Robert E0 contributionsGo have fun and enjoy the area! This is a fun spot to just bebop around and relax. It’s a tourist area so expect higher prices but it has great view of the falls, decent food spots, and an all around quirky feel. Good for families, couples, etc…you get what you put into it, go hang out with an open mind and enjoy yourself.Written 10 January 2025
- tammyBaltimore_Md0 contributionsMain tourist hubTons to do for all ages! Rides, shops, eateries of all types for young & old. Even a roller coaster at top of the hill. Short walk from Rainbow Bridge, the border and New York falls.Written 9 October 2024
- TheCornishHack0 contributionsTat centralWorth visiting just to see how jaw-droppingly awful it is. Even though I'd been warned beforehand that it existed I couldn't believe how much tat could be crammed into one street. Makes Blackpool look classy.Written 13 August 2024
- BuckeyeTraveler1230 contributionsFun vibe!We had a lot of fun. There is a lot of stuff to do and it has a fun vibe. It is very crowded but not miserably crowded (at lease when we went). I loved the signs and the look of Clifton Hill. It was exciting.Written 13 August 2024
- free2venture0 contributionsReview ahead of time, do nature first, then go play here laterThere were not a lot of great reviews for many of the attractions here, so I just picked out 4 things and ended up having time for 3. This area is repeatedly referred to as a, "tourist trap." I never really get that phrase. It is as if people there don't know they will be paying a higher price for certain things in a popular area. Isn't that partially implied with travel? Take your family to the the nature based things and then go here for some late day or evening fun. Pick what you want to do most and have fun. They have a fun pass that includes multiple attractions, but I calculated what we wanted to do most and didn't think we'd use it all, but it seems like a pretty good deal if you have a longer time to spend there. Our family of 5, including 2 adult kids ;-) and 2 pre teens and a teen enjoyed the couple of hours we spent here. I was a bit deterred by parking directly there based on parking prices I read about, but due to limited time from stormy weather throughout vacation, we just decided to go for quick access and parked in the Clifton Hill Lot. It ended up only being like $14 US dollars on a weekday, so not as bad as what I heard. 4 of us did the Skywheel and used $1 off coupons we found online. It was a bit overwhelming to look at while in line, but we pushed through and got beautiful views of the falls. It did not help in the beginning to hear them say we were 170 feet high, but after we pushed through initial nerves, it was not bad. You can fit 8 to a compartment, so I was pleasently surprised that all 4 of us could fit together. If you want the best views sit in the right hand seats as you board. You get to go around 3-4 times, with long enough pauses to get good pics. The line for this around 4p was about a 20 minute wait. We also did the Midway Arcade. It was huge. It was pretty overpriced and had the worst prizes I've seen in an arcade. The claw machines were way overpriced at 20 credits! However, there were a lot of fun games to choose from, a few of which were new to us. Finally, we did the Speedway. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this was. The staff weren't friendly, but the go carting was tons of fun. A review said it was like a Mario Kart video game course and this was true. It goes in circles, up different levels and down a few hills. We all had a blast at this, however the kids will need to work on their driving skills. I'd say this was in our top 5 of all things we did while on vacation. Aside from all that, it was fun just to look at the silly attractions on the streets. I'd say it is definitely worth spending a few hours at. We did it on our last day.Written 21 July 2024
- puppy36000 contributionsRecommend it.Lots of shops and entertainment. Very expensive. Only decently priced restaurant is Tim Horton's. Go to the bottom of the hill for spectacular view of falls.Written 18 June 2024
- Stacey M0 contributionsFun!Definitely meant for the tourists but I loved every second of Clifton Hill, it's bright it's busy and its jam packed with fun activities for everyone. Could easily sink an entire day into this place without even thinking about it!Written 16 June 2024
- WorcesterMoray0 contributionsNot in keeping with the location. This struck me as tacky. OK some nice restaurants but the haunted houses and arcades are straight out of the "kiss me quick" seaside era. Think Blackpool in the 80's. Fortunately most of it is set back from the Falls and so you are able to avoid the worst of it.Written 26 May 2024
- 757jeannef0 contributionsKinda if tackyPretty crowded in May, can't imagine the summer months. This is a place to take kids on amusements park rides etc. There are restaurants, t- shirts/souvenir stores, bars and lots of other sight seeing touristy things.Written 26 May 2024
- bob70 contributionsskip itCheap divey attractions, embarrassing. The eateries are average but the haunted house type attractions don't reflect this beautiful area. Do the river walk instead.Written 23 April 2024
- kaankuskonmaz0 contributionsNiagara, CanadaYou may find some souvenirs and bars around there. There is also an amusement park there. You can check it out before or after visiting Niagara Falls.Written 20 April 2024
- Travel253465335850 contributionsTourist Trap that OverchargesMany of the attraction, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc have not change in 25 years. The Restaurants charge a Premium just for being on Clifton Hill, big deal. Large groups swarm all over seating so it is very difficult to get a seat to eat an Ice CreamWritten 2 April 2024
- keisas20190 contributionsGood evening for a windy strollWe could see from our hotel window that the Hill was not busy. So we ventured out. Slight winds. But manageable. We went up slowly. Dodging several cars turning into the driveways and stopping abruptly to allow passengers to disembark. Still a very active location so late into the night.Written 10 March 2024
- crisslyrose0 contributionsStreet shop and entertainmentHere there’s a few places that you can get entertainment. There’s breweries, shops, game centers and others. It pretty good. At night it seems gorgeous with the lights. Theres some food shops and souvenirs. It is a must. Just you have to walk some meters from Niagara view.Written 15 February 2024
- EFW20140 contributionsBright lightsIt’s the Myrtle beach of the great north! The whole place is a money grab!! Lots to see and do! $20 for all day parking at most lots. Be careful with the $5 lots, that’s per hour and looks sketchy at night.Written 28 December 2023

The place was huge with lots of fun games, big arcades, bowling, mini golf, a ferris wheel, cool sights at night, & open very late. Parking was easy enough but the entire place was crowded throughout. The WiFi was bad so trying to get access to the passes on the app was frustrating.

My family of 5 had the BEST time using this pass and did the entire 6 attractions in one afternoon. We started with the Sky Wheel since we had to pick up our tickets there. Great views of the falls and some interesting information shared during the ride. We then jumped from attraction to attraction (some are only 5 minutes long with the golf taking the longest at an hour). We had minimal waits because we went on an afternoon where it had rained all morning (probably keeping crowds lower on a Friday in August). There are a bunch of other options to choose from on Clifton Hill but this kept our budget in check since we told our kids we could only do what we had purchased.

This was very fun for my family! We went on a rainy Sunday and it wasn’t too busy and pretty much everything is inside besides walking from place to place. I will say the carnival chaos was a little to scary for my 5 year old, but it was fun for the rest of us.

Fun for tweens and family, but be prepared for $, crowds and parking challenges. We went mid week in summer and arrived around 11am, since we stayed in a hotel we had parking for 2 days so could walk everywhere and the early time meant we had almost no lines. We did the package which was a good deal for mini golf, a couple of rides and wheel. Note - the wax museum is soooooo bad, I’d give it 1 star but it was so bad it was funny. Also we did the package for Madame Tussaud and Ripley’s which my tween loved. A great afternoon of carnival like fun and snacks. If you go in realizing it will cost $75 or so per adult then it’s a fun day.

The attractions on Clifton Hill are a ripoff. The kids spend 2 to 5 min to experience one of the attractions for 15 to 20 each person. There should be a pass to attend these attractions. The haunted house for 20 dollars had halloween dolls and a crappy sound as you are walking through a dark hallway. It took less than 5 minutes to walk through this hallway. What a joke.

This place is so great for kids but man is it expensive. Any ride or attraction last an average of 10 minutes and costs $12-15. So it adds up quick. In mid afternoon it gets very hot and there are no water fountains anywhere to refill water bottles. You can buy a $3 small bottle which is not ideal for a family. Also not many public washrooms. Lots of neat things to see and do, impossible to do on a budget so plan ahead and choose your attractions wisely. Definitely a must see though.

The fun pass was worth it in my opinion. My husband and I definitely enjoyed the cosmic coaster experience. There is so much to do in Clifton Hill. We enjoyed the combo of Ripley's Believe it or Not and Louis Tussaud's Wax Museum even more so than the Movie Wax Museum that this pass offered but both were cool.

I loved the view of their place, and the busyness of the streets. However, it is way too over priced for the attractions. The best priced attraction was the Mario carts, 3 riders for $33. Most experiences last 30 seconds to 90 seconds.

We did the 6 attractions in one day. You have a year to do them. It’s worth the money. $35. This is the second time we got this pass. The Wizards golf is a lot of fun. The cosmic coaster is just a motion ride. This one I didn’t really like. I couldn’t wait for it to end. I liked the zombie one better. The chair moves too but you get to shoot the zombies. Ghost blasters your riding and shooting and you get to compete with your partner. My husband who was sitting with me got 630 and I got 600 points. There is also the Niagara Sky Wheel and Movieland wax museum.

My kids and I spent all day in the Clifton Hill area yesterday. I had read online that things opened at 10 but when we arrived close to 10:30 AM, we found that the attractions weren't open until 12 PM. It was super cold out so we wandered into some other things. For the fun pass, I will say that it was a lot of fun. Upon checking in, we found out that one attraction was under construction (the ghost blaster) but they told us that we were able to wait and come back sometime in the next year OR we could do another attraction twice. We opted to do the Sky Wheel in the daylight and again when the Falls were lit and that did not disappoint. Since it was so cold, we really had fun at the different indoor attractions. I would recommend doing the Fun Pass if you are planning to spend any time on Clifton Hill. One thing of which to be aware is that the Wild West Coaster (which is in the Midway arcade) only operates on the hour each hour, so plan accordingly for that. We gave ourselves a little time in the arcade before and then a few minutes after, in order to not break the bank on the games.
