Good tour!
Mar 2020
Took the walking tour on a drizzly weekday in March. It was the slow season for tours, apparently, because it was just the guide, Jason, and my son and me. We explored the historic Victorian style architecture, home of the once-mighty but now-defunct Gooderham and Worts Distillery.

We got a good overview of the history of the company, and some interesting stories of its colorful past. The tour includes a visit to some of the local businesses now inhabiting the space, such as a brewery, and a boutique chocolatier, (where a sample of their wares is included).

The tour price is easy on the budget, and a great way to fill a coupl eof hours in Toronto.

Great Tour!
Dec 2019 • Couples
We took this tour the first day at Toronto. The guide was really knowledgeable and passionate about the distillery district's history. We really enjoyed the tour. If you visit during December, you might get a private tour since it is off-Seasson. After the tour, we stayed at the Christmas Market. It was great!

Doggone good Distillery Tour!
Dec 2019
I had a great tour, the Toronto Distillery District Walking Tour, with Nicole. She included lots of interesting history, the tour didn't feel rushed, and i enjoyed her personality so much. The tour also included a tasting at a brewery on site! Such a great way to learn about this area. The holiday decorations throughout made it especially charming. I had so much fun that i returned later in the evening for dinner!

A Nice Diversion
Nov 2019
The Distillery District is mildly interesting. Good that they preserved the area and kept some of the city's important history. The walking tour was moderately interesting. Really not too much to see. We went when they turned it into a Christmas village, which made it a bit more fun. The Christmas village also was nice but not that great compared to other such venues we have visited. Would give it a B-minus or C-plus grade.

finally visited unique historical block
Nov 2019
I first visited Toronto in the 1960s (as a child), and drove by this area many times over the years, but never understood its significance to the city as a whole. Great tour led by Sergi. Toronto and Gooderham & Worts were all built and developed by immigrants, so it was great to have an immigrant telling us the history. Could almost picture on the horizon of the historical paintings where my ancestors settled in the 1790s. Will recommend.

A bit of history
Nov 2019
Had time to kill before Dinner reservations and picked this walking tour. It was very interesting. Never knew anything about the distillery business way back and tidbits of history about Lake Ontario. Was really good. Not to mention the free tasters of beer and chocolate at the end. Nice touch. High recommend.

A great fun tour!
Nov 2019
We had a fantastic time with Erik! From the outset he was charismatic and friendly, making us feel really welcome. Although the tour is relatively localised and just over an hour there's an awful lot packed in. His delivery throughout was full of historical knowledge presented in the most entertaining way.

Whilst three of us on the tour were English tourists, my friend who came along is a Toronto resident and they found it really interesting too. The chocolate was very good and we really enjoyed the selection of beers. It was great that Erik was in no hurry to get away at the end and we hung around chatting.

A really good experience that I would thoroughly recommend to others.

Come for the History, not the Beer or Chocolate
Nov 2019 • Couples
The tour guide was good, and some interesting history. The tour was of the history of the distillery district, not the distilleries. Expect a good bit of history, a bite of chocolate and a few sips of beer from Mill Street Brewery.

Hello connsp! Our Historical Distillery District tour is exclusively about the history of the District itself as it is the largest collection of Victorian Era Architecture in all of North America and at one time, the largest distillery in the entire world! We are happy you were able to learn about the area! We do offer additional sampling options for the breweries/distilleries ,however, tours of the facilities themselves are up to the individual companies. We thank you for joining us!
