About the operator

- Roving5646280 contributionsAlgonquinGreat location to experience the wonderful nature of Canada excellently looked after by our guide Joe. Thoroughly recommendedWritten 10 November 2024
- RaibatakC0 contributionsA terrible experienceOur tour was cancelled. No one informed us beforehand, I called them two times on the day before and then got the cancellation mail and later the refund. Tripadvisor should not promote this type of irresponsible tour arranger like "Travelling Chicken". They spoiled our entire day's tour plan.Written 3 November 2024
- amadorc9240 contributionsBest guide in the worldThe tour was very packed and we didn't have enough time on all activities, but I could do multiple activities that otherwise I wouldn't have done like going to the Winery and the Mapple store. The food was okay, the boat was great and the Niagara falls were amazing. What I like the most (besides the falls) was the guide. Very charming and funny guy that made the trip very pleasant. I would love to tour with them again.Written 30 October 2024
- SwissBusinessMan0 contributionsNice tour, great guides, not a good season, terrible organizer.Much of the tour was as expected. The long transfer was no surprise - and at this time of year there was no viable option to make arrangements to stay overnight and enjoy the amazing park. Mike was a great driver and guide and we felt very comfortable. There are pros and cons to doing the tour in late October: On the plus side, there are very few tourists, so the park is more secluded. On the other hand, the forest had lost most of its colours, there were no animals to be seen and no activities other than a few short hikes. The main reason for the lower score: We had booked a month in advance and had to change from Saturday to Sunday a week in advance. This was confirmed by Tripadvisor. A day in advance the organisers said Sunday was not possible as it was overbooked and we would have to do Saturday or cancel. Absolutely ZERO support or refund, just blame Tripadvisor. We don't care who Travelling Chicken use as a distribution channel as they remain fully responsible for any marketing channel they use. This caused quite a stir as we had to rebook our other Saturday plans.Written 27 October 2024

- anastasiakI6974BT0 contributionsA perfect day trip to explore Bruce PeninsulaThis Saturday, we had an amazing experience on a Bruce Peninsula hiking tour with my husband and my father in law! The trip included a visit to Tobermory, swimming at the Grotto, and hiking to stunning spots and lakes. As I’ve recently arrived to Toronto, it’s been challenging to explore interesting places here without a car, but this tour made it easy to see the beautiful nature of Canada. A special shoutout to our guide, Joe, who knows every interesting spot in the park and made this trip unforgettable. Thank you!Written 1 September 2024
- Nicole P0 contributionsTour CancelledI booked this tour over a month prior to visiting Toronto and then the night before I receive a text that there was an issue with Viator and that they are not able to accommodate my reservation and can book me with another tour company. I did however the new company did not include all the stops and time frame they did and the guide service was very lacking. Beware if you book this tour they may cancel last minute leaving you to scramble for new plans.Written 22 June 2024
- pamelalf20170 contributionsGO!Leo was a great guide. The park is beautiful in all aspects. Some of the trails are very rocky so if you have any limitations, be prepared. The bus ride wasn’t easy for my 6’2” partner. It was a transit van really and there is little leg room but he still had a great experience.Written 6 May 2024
- S J O0 contributionsTour cancelled the night beforeI booked a day trip to Bruce Penninsula for December 24th, was really excited as this was one of the few things I wanted to do during my time in Toronto. Was emailed at around 7.30pm the night before the trip saying it was cancelled. They wanted to move me to the 26th for the tour but that was the day I was leaving. Supposed to be getting a full refund but I am still waiting. Can’t comment on the quality of the tour itself as I never got to do it.Written 4 January 2024
- Noz10 contributionsGreat trip but be prepared for a long day!A packed full 12 hour day. Excellent venues to visit and would highly recommend this trip. There were only 6 people on our trip so bizarrely they stuck us all in a car that was quite cramped to be honest. They no doubt saved money not using a transit van equivalent. The trip is really about taking you from A to B as opposed to anything being "guided" but this was fine. The driver was a good person and did a great job ferrying us all around. He was Filipino (apologies can't remember his name) and a credit to the company. We did the boat included for Niagara Falls and this was simply brilliant as you experience the power and sound of the falls. Maple farm was good but the wine location was somewhat small and they only let you try the basic wines. Nonetheless, overall I would recommend this trip to others as we certainly enjoyed it.Written 2 October 2023
- ElinaVe970 contributionsAmazing dayIt was a pleasure to participate in this daytrip! We saw many great places, canoed, walked two trails (waterfall and lookout point), swam in a lake, drove to the visitor's center and all of this with a very nice group of people. Our guide Mike was super friendly and did his best to make us enjoy the day and see the beauty of Algonquin Provincal Park. Highly recommended trip!Written 11 August 2023
- Nick M0 contributionsUps and downsThe places we were taken too were excellent, hiking and canoeing. Our guide, Joe, was so good. He did an excellent job. However, we felt that there was not enough correct information provided before the day (lunch arrangements and no mention of swimming). Also, for such a long day we spent a lot of time in the van. It would have been a better day if had been able to get out more and walk more. Finally, for safety reasons, two guides would have been a lot better. Joe had to do a lot of driving over the day. Not great for him or us.Written 30 July 2023
- Grace B0 contributionsGreat EscapeHad an amazing adventure. I took the Bruce Peninsula Day Trip. Seen things that were just breathtaking. It was like being taken to another country. Just the escape from the city I was looking for. Went solo and just felt like I was with a group of new friends. Joe was an amazing guide..great information…very funny…and makes sure you are safe and sound! Would definitely do it again.Written 25 June 2023
