Very good tour of Old Montreal with Diane. Covered lots of history, which I like, and included discussion of the diverse architecture in Old Montreal. Stopped for a treat along the way, which was nice. We were on a cruise ship and skipped the ship's bus tour. This was a much better idea.

With Sarah as our guide, we learned so, so much and even more than we expected. Her knowledge and passion for history and architecture was impressive and contagious. So much value and truly made the trip!

I did the morning and the afternoon (west and east). Pierre was a nice guy and the tours had interesting spots. I thought he was a bit impersonal, never asked names or where anyone was from and also didn’t encourage exchange within the group, which I always appreciate. He also could’ve suggested lunch together for everyone doing both tours but he just sent people off very quickly. I usually do the free walking tours (tip-based) but there wasn’t one available at the time I wanted to go so I picked this one instead. I feel the guides put more effort into giving a good tour if it’s not pre-paid.

An excellent three hours in the company of our entertaining and extremely knowledgeable guide Sarah M from Guidatour, a local who knows where all the bodies are buried (metaphorically)! A lot of history, and some meaningful insights into recent Quebecois culture politics. Fantastic.

Our guide Sarah was fabulous. She did a wonderful job of sharing the history and beauty of Montreal in entertaining and interesting ways.

We did both the East and West Tour on the same day. Our guide Pierre T. did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable of both the history and architecture of Old Town Montreal and spent a few minutes pointing out some wonderful restaurants, for which he gets no kick-backs. I would highly recommend the tour if you have time to do both the morning and the afternoon to see both sides of historical Montreal.

Thunderstorms and a squall warning did not deter Guidatour from moving ahead with a walking tour. We called and spoke with a person who insisted the weather had cleared and the tour would not be cancelled. Pouring rain and thunder continued for another hour from the start time. We did not feel safe and inquired about a refund but were told that cancellations had to be 24 hours in advance. It was clear that the tour should have been cancelled due to safety concerns for their employee and customers. Guidatour refers to themselves as flexible and available. It seems that they should have been flexible on their refund policy in the middle of a thunderstorm.

Madeleine was extremely knowledgeable and because our tour group was small, we were able to ask questions as we went along. The tour was interesting and even though my companion was born in Montreal, he learned a lot too. She made the tour assessable to everyone. So glad we made the time for this tour.

Sarah was a fantastic guide making history come alive as we toured both the east end and west end of old Montreal. We enjoyed a beautiful day with a small group of mixed international travelers on this English speaking tour.

We took both the east tour with Thomas as our guide and the west tour with Sarah while visiting Montreal with our young teenage grandchildren. The tours were informative and educational and we enjoyed them immensely. Although it did tire out the teenagers. Good value and a great way to learn more about the city and its history.

The tour was good with lots of historical perspective. However it is supposed to be a walking tour and I thought we saw very few buildings or areas over the 90min period. Would have been nice to get a better flavour of the city, which I was looking for

We took a tour of Old Montreal Town! It was very beautiful ! Our tour guide, Felicity, was great and we felt like we got to learn a lot about the history of Montreal from her!

We had the great pleasure of experiencing a private walking tour of Le Plateau & Mile End with Pierre. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We wanted to get a taste of the history and culture of the neighbourhood and Pierre did at outstanding job at providing just that. He is knowledgeable and we felt like he catered to our specific needs. We got an intimate view of the past and present in a well paced stroll that was fun and informative. We would highly recommend Pierre and would readily select another tour with Guidatour again.
