I took a trip back in time yesterday and walked in the footsteps of my grandparents. I'm so honored & privilege to have done this. I got to hear stories my grandmother talked about that I never thought I'd hear again. I'm standing in the hub of what use to be Canada's oldest Irish shanty towns "Griffintown" the town is completely demolished now but behind me would of been Ste Anns Church. Hats off Donovan King for guiding this tour and keeping Irish history & spirit alive. I did the "Irish Famine Montreal Walking Tour" and it was very historic and well explained. Our tour guide Donovan King, did a great job explaining the history of the Irish Famine. He remarked many times that there should be historical plaque's or some kind of mention to what happened at the spots we toured. I ride my bike many times along the Lachine Canal in the summer and never realized what lay's below the ground. Also, there were many years that I wanted to visit the Black Stone Monument and on this tour it was part of the walk. This was my third walk with Haunted Montreal, along with Haunted Griffontown and Haunted Pub Crawl tours, they are all very informative. It won't be my last. Thanks again.

We booked a private pub crawl for my sister's bachelorette party and it was the highlight of the trip! It was right on theme- 'Til Death Did Us Part-y. Jason did a fantastic job detailing a wide variety of ghost stories and encounters. We were hooked from the beginning and learned so much about Montreal history. Jason was so entertaining and really knew how to tailor the show to us. We even got a surprise story from one of the managers from Hurley's who shared his own experience with a ghost right where we were sitting upstairs. I cannot recommend this pub crawl enough!!!

Our guide was amazing, theatrical and very interesting! We had no expectations and we were pleasantly surprised! A fun way to rediscover our city!

A great bit of gruesome fun and local history! A walking tour but our family member using a manual wheelchair was also able to participate the whole way and enjoy some spooky storytelling by our awesome guide Jason.

An informative historical account of early life in Ville-Marie. Dom, the paranormal investigator was great. An excellent opportunity to experiment with the equipment that ghost hunters use.

We did the paranormal investigation at Dorchester Square with Dominique as our guide and it was such a fun experience. Dominique had a lot of interesting historical information to share and helped us connect with the ghosts. My mom who‘s a skeptic and only came because my sister couldn’t come, actually loved the experience and now believes. I highly recommend this experience if you’re ever in Montreal. Absolutely planning on doing it again.

I’ve done almost all the haunted Montreal tours but this one was my favourite! The story telling is amazing and going up the mountain was like a workout but exciting because you are in the dark with a flashlight. It added to the spookiness! Whichever tour you do it will be fun! Plus you learn the history of Montreal. So if you love history and ghost stories this is for you! Definitely do this with some friends and family to make some great memories! Just fyi if you are doing any of the tours near the water in October wear a good coat because it can get quite cold especially with the wind and if doing the mountain tour in the summer bring bug repellent.

If you are interested in the paranormal and would like to visit some haunted sites in Old Montreal, I would recommend this tour. Dominique is a terrific guide and he gave us a hybrid of a walking tour with some historic facts about haunted sites and also, we were able to use some equipment to detect spirits and hear ghosts that were trying to communicate with us. My wife and I had a very fun evening and it definitely sparked an even greater interesting in pursuing more ghost adventures.

Anton is a fantastic storyteller! Really nice tour. He spoke loudly and made sure everyone stayed together as a group. We laughed a lot and learned more about Montreal's history.

Donovan is an absolute authority on the history of Montreal. Our small group came away from our evening tour with many new insights about our adopted city.

Very entertaining and informative. Jason was a very good performer who balanced the spooky, the history, and a bit of cheesy humour. A fun way to look at the city I've lived in my whole life, and three pubs I only thought I knew.

I can see from other negative reviews that the tour operator then slates the reviewer so I’m expecting that to happen for this one too. Though a nice enough man, the tour content was too dense and delivered too fast and dramatically, so much so that it was hard to keep the thread of the stories. It would be improved by slowing down, creating a spookier atmosphere and cutting down on the content. It jumped around a lot and was too long. I went on a similar tour Montreal in 2018 with a man wearing the black hat and shirt just buttoned up (so either the same man, or the uniform of the same company) and I remember thinking the same thing - this tour feels like it’s more for the benefit of someone who wants to perform, rather than for the audience itself. It wasn’t great, didn’t feel closely linked to the pubs and the second pub’s prices were extortionate. Only hitting up three pubs for lengthy monologues didn’t seem like much of a “tour”. Opportunities for questions throughout, rather than long monologues, would be an improvement. Sorry to say that I would not recommend this in its current form as the price plus a tip is overstating the value a lot. And I generally do like to tip.
