Old Quebec- a favorite destination
Aug 2019
We easily met our guide in Place Royale. There were nine people in the group and everyone enjoyed each others' company. We were taken all over the old city. Historic landmarks and the history behind them was explained. Very picturesque alleyways and plazas added to the ambiance. We felt like we were in a small village in France. Flowers were everywhere. The old town has upper and lower levels serviced by a funicular elevator. It should be noted that there are still hills and stairs throughout the tour that need to be climbed. This was a three hour tour and we were very happy with what we experienced. It was a hot day and we were glad to find a cool bistro for lunch afterwards.

It rained, but it was still great
Aug 2019
The English language walking tour was fabulouos. History of Quebec - native, french, english, american, and english again. Religious history. Rebuilt/restored buildings. Public Works historical murals interpreted. Up the finicular to the upper city. Great views.

Louise was gracious and responded to all questions happy to share her considerable knowledge.

I would highly recommend - even considering it rained on us for half the tour.

Maple Leaf Tourism Service should not be confused with Maple Leaf Tours.com which seems to be a travel agency.

Excellent way to learn about Quebec's history
Jul 2019
We had an amazing personal tour with Rene! He is native to Quebec and had a wealth of knowledge about the city and its storied history. We learned more about French Canadian history in those few hours than I had ever known before! Also, we found out some new things about what went on during the American Revolution that they don't teach in school. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Great tour guides in english (et français) of Quebec City
Apr 2019 • Family
On a recent school tour to Quebec we were fortunate to have Tony as our guide, who is a wealth of knowledge about the city and tells his stories with a great sense of humor. My students learned a lot from their tour with him. Tony is able to quickly switch from English to French and back again... a great chance for visitors to learn about the language as they learn about the city.

Magnifique!
Oct 2018 • Couples
If you want a little piece of France without going to Europe Quebec City is definitely the place to go! Our tour guide, Raymond Lemieux, was the most incredible person to meet and tour with! We just cannot say enough great things about him ... he was professional, fun, and extremely knowledgeable. We were truly sorry to say goodbye to him! We did a walking tour one day and drove to the country the next and more than enjoyed each one.

Wonderful individualized tour by local resident
Jun 2018 • Family
Our tour guide's family has lived in Quebec City for 6 generations. We were lucky, because our family was the only one on the tour that. Our guide was able to take us into the Chateau le Frontenac and was not put out by the rain. My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much.

The only way to view Quebec City
Feb 2018 • Couples
Not being fluent in French, this service was indispensible. Our Guide, ROBERT, knew so many facts, that we knew as much about Quebec City, and their history, as a local. At the Winter Carnival, due to ROBERT'S information, I was able to answer all the questions from a survey group about BONHOMME (the mascot) as a local. ROBERT knew the best restaurants, best places to shop and of course had access to all the historical sites. ROBERT knew all important historical sites, and had such fascinating details to share with us. Tours can be purchased for a variety of length. Our group had hired ROBERT for two full days That time included visiting religious, and historical sites in the area. The most important element was that we had a front row seat for the Winter Carnival.. ROBERT knew how to move through traffic, with the fewest delays and how to move about the city to avoid traffic so that we spent most time touring rather than sitting in traffic..THIS COMPANY IS SUPERIOR - ROBERT WAS PRICELESS.
