About
Parc de la Chute-Montmorency is a few minutes from Québec City. Located between the river and the cliffs, it's one of the province's most spectacular sites. With its 83 meters high (30 meters higher than Niagara Falls), Montmorency Falls dominates the landscape. It can be discovered on foot, by cable car, or from the gourmet restaurant. It's an ideal setting for a stroll after a business meeting or a reception. For the more active, a 300-meters zipline, and the via ferrata, a hiking trail on a cliff, promises some adrenaline and breathtaking views. Accessible year-round, the site works its magic day and night. During winter, in very cold weather, fine splashes from the falls freeze and eventually form the famous Sugar Loaf, an impressive cone of ice at the foot of the waterfall. The entire cove of the park has been illuminated after dark. Discover an impressive and enchanting spot!

Invigorating!
Jul 2021 • Friends
A friend and I completed a rock climbing course (via feretta) at Montmorency and it was SO invigorating! We completed the course this past weekend and it was a highlight of our trip (to QC)! I highly recommend it. Finding the parking lot to start the course was not easy, yet the excitement and thrill of the activity made it all worth it!

The folks at the desk (to help us get registered and got with eq) were super patient, friendly, and helpful and our guide (Thomas) was excellent! I am already looking to do a similar activity in Ontario.

The course we did was the one closest to the water falls. It was the longest in duration (just a little over 2hrs in duration).

Whoever decided to create the course and to those who built it (and those who help maintain it), I send a huge thank you! I love these types of fun yet challenging (in a good way) activities.

We got a great physical workout and we also got to push ourselves mentally. The views from the course, especially from the top near the waterfall!

Would do it again any day!
Sep 2019 • Couples
We initially booked for a saturday but it was raining and they had to restrict the maximum weight allowed so we couldn't go (I need to diet!). no website tells you this, but they adjust the maximum weight in case of rain. The staff happily offered for us to come back the next day free of charge at a convenient time for us. We were only staying 10 mins away so we were back at 10am (opening time). The young man who had dealt with us initially recognised us and got us ready to get down before the day's bookings.
After walking around the park on the first day, the sheer size of the fall was very impressive and we were terrified. But as soon as we got the harness on, we went for it with no hesitation. And that was breathtaking.
The staff was awesome, instructions were very clear (in French and English), and that definitely helps feel safe. Unlike the videos on the net, you don't need to pit your hand on top of the cable. There's a very sturdy handle to hold instead.
Only advice is regarding the parking. Both days there was long queues to get into the park. So make sure you're well early if you have a booking.
Other than that, it was perfect.

Precruise Quebec fun
Absolutely amazing. Unfortunately too fast. Deal is great in that you get link to video of your ride that you can download and there is no extra charge. You do have to walk towards start again to return zipline equipment.

Short Zipline Ride, Beautiful Falls
Aug 2019
This place is beautiful, but you will probably spend 2-4 hours here depending on your group size and activity choices. We took the cable car up to the top, then walked across the suspension bridge to the zipline. On the way, we stopped at viewpoints for pictures. We went on the zipline, which records a free video of you btw, and then you have to walk back over the bridge to return the gear. Then, we walked forward and climbed down the falls via the panoramic stairs. At the base of the falls, there is a nice area if you want to get wet. I highly recommend this activity if you're in the area.

Zipline rush!
Aug 2019
I booked the zip line experience for my daughter and myself on a recent trip to Quebec. The entire experience was great!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Keep in mind there is a weight limit which can vary each day depending on weather conditions. Luckily I made the cut by emptying my pockets :)

The zip line ride itself is maybe about 20 seconds, so not very long. Nonetheless, how often do you get to ride in front of a waterfall?! The end of the zip line is a little abrupt, so if you suffer from back or neck pain, be fore-warned.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the price of admission includes a keepsake video you can download after the ride!

Beautiful waterfalls, nice zipline experience
Aug 2019
Beautiful waterfalls, and we enjoyed the place, but the zipline took us much longer time to prepare than the experience itself. The cable car was not as good as expected.

A good day trip.
Aug 2019
I cycled to the falls with my son from the centre of Quebec city. The bike routes are easy with a few main roads to cross, its about 12Km. The falls are pretty spectacular but if you have a head for heights do the zip-line. We had pre booked but its a bit slow registering and getting kitted up, with walk ups getting on about the same time.
