Aracanto planned a fantastic two week trip for us! Everything was smooth and communication was great! We especially loved our guide in Bogotá, Byron, who had a whole fountain of information and historical context to share. And our time in Cartagena with Carolina was very meaningful; we loved the drum workshop and mangrove tour. All of the details were cleanly planned out and made for a relaxing and enjoyable time!

Aracanto was absolutely brilliant at organising our Colombia adventure. We told them what we wanted to see and do they did the rest! Extremely responsive throughout, even at weekends and evenings. The guides were excellent, especially Andres in Medellin and Oscar in Bogotá. Highly recommended.

This was a trip of a lifetime for 5 women who travel often. Margo at Aracanto set us up with Oscar as our tour guide. In my opinion he did everything right…. From the moment he meet us at the airport to our last day he was great. Very knowledgeable about Cartagena and Colombia. Also very entertaining and enthusiastic about his career. Felt very comfortable and safe during our stay.

This was the perfect personally curated cooking class!! Carolina was absolutely wonderful concerned about everyone’s taste and preferences. After she had that information, she created a wonderful menu we could all cook together.! it was a perfect group event, which includes a lovely lunch that you have cooked together! If you love food, and are interested in the history and culture of places you visit, I would highly recommend this tour!!

Oscar was our guide for this 1/2 day tour with a special stop to experience Colombian coffee. Oscar was knowledgeable, kind and funny. We enjoyed his company thoroughly during this half-day tour., which included the fortress and multiple neighborhoods throughout the walled city. This is the perfect tour at the beginning of your trip to get your acclimated to the city and learn a little bit of its history. I would definitely recommend.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful ARACANTO travel was during our recent adventure to Cartagena Columbia. Margoth And her team were always available to answer every question from the beginning planning stages of our trip to last-minute questions while we were in Columbia.. her attention to detail cannot be matched. Even with a few last-minute changes needed to be made she accommodated our group graciously. I also want to mention Oscar our travel guide. He was funny, knowledgeable and kind and always on time Gustavo our guide to an amazing private drum lesson was a perfect translator to make everything even more educational and enjoyable. Our cooking class at Ooh La La bistro was a personal curated experience and 10 out of 10. Alex our driver was always on time kind and greeted everyone with a smile. couldn’t of asked for a better experience in Columbia and would recommend ARACANTO travel to every family and friend.

I am not prone to superlatives or hyperbole. However, I would be horribly remiss if I were to not use them to describe the service my wife and I have received this far from Felipe Rico, Margoth Rico, and team at Aracanto. Woefully insufficient number of stars available to grade their service! We are in the second half of our tour of Colombia and it has been nothing short of exceptional! We travel a lot the world over, and Aracanto are hands-down among the best travel curators we have worked with! Right from the get-go, our connection with Felipe Rico was very comfortable - he was calm, understanding, very responsive and friendly, and curated a superb private tour itinerary for us, spanning sights in and around Medellin and Cartagena. As advertised, Felipe, Margoth, and team are passionate, care deeply about showing off their country and are equally, if not more, solicitous of their customers’ needs and desires. They hooked us up with superb lodging (the Patio del Mundo boutique hotel in Medellin was a magical tropical bungalow/paradise - great service, exceptional lodgings, the lovely welcome gift awaiting us at the hotel was a thoughtful surprise; Nacar Hotel Curio Collection by Hilton, is equally unique, in the walled old city in Cartagena - superb location) and equally superb guides in each city - Andres Jimenez in Medellin, a knowledgeable and passionate young man (a well-traveled, multilingual (Spanish/English/Portuguese) Chemical Engineer by education and experience, turned expert travel guide) who became a friend; and Isaac Francis in Cartagena, equally competent and friendly! Felipe, Margoth, and team have been exceptionally organized, superbly responsive to our myriad queries, and keenly attuned to our tastes and preferences. In an instance where a certain planned event did not occur due to a miscommunication by the event owner, they promptly refunded that portion of the cost - no questions asked! The restaurants they chose for us, the visits to picturesque/colorful Guatape and El Peñol near Medellin, to rum and chocolate tasting at the Arsenal of Rum, and cooking with Caro (owner-chef at Oh La La Bistro - see separate review), both in the Getesmani, neighborhood of Cartagena, to a resort/beach excursion at Isla Bomba tomorrow …each better than the other! Exotic, beautiful, and adventurous are good words to sum up our trip to Columbia! We spent 10 days going to Bogota, Coffee region, and Cartagena. Margoth and the Aracanto team made the daunting task of traveling internationally very easy. They were available to us and very responsive throughout the trip, making us feel like we had someone to go to when we needed. From rebooking dinner reservations to finding late night music to attend, they accommodated all of our needs. Thank you for the best trip of our lives so far!

Margoth and the Aracanto team took all my worries away for organizing my friends 50th birthday in cartengena. I stumbled on the company while doing research about cartengena for me and my 10 friends. Im so glad I did. Margoth, totally took all my worries away and planned a fantasic itinerary for us ladies. I told her our interests and she planned it right away. we did city walking tour with Jose he was so knowledgeable and patience with us ladies. Made sure we were ok for our last stop before he left us for the day. Second day we had Juan as our tour guide. He met us at the hotel for our coffee tasting. After coffee tasting he showed us the best spots for shopping and then took us for our salsa lessons. What an caring human being. He stayed with us all day. we wanted to hit a night club and he accompanied us there also. We felt so safe with him being out so late. Thank you Aracanto team for making my friends birthday so memerable. We all fell in Love with colombia and we will all be back again

I highly recommend Aracanto, because every detail of my trip to Cartagena was so perfectly planned. I decided to go there very last minute, and they were able to put together a 6-day itinerary for me in a matter of days. Every time I had a question or a need, someone would respond right away via What’s App. There was a great mix of fun and educational activities (Salsa lesson, 2 days in Islas de Rosario, drum workshop, mangrove forest tour, city tour, rum tasting, etc), and the guides and drivers were very prompt, friendly and accommodating. My main guide, José Vicente Figueroa, was outstanding—such a great educator and wonderful guy overall. Carlos accompanied me on transfers, and he was very kind and conscientious. My driver, Emerson, was always on time and showed concern for my schedule and well-being. Margoth was my main contact, and she was extremely organized and communicative. I’m telling all of my friends and family who want to go to Cartagena to use Aracanto!

Margoth from Aracanto customized a tour for my daughter and me that started in Medellin then pereira (the coffee country) and Cartegena. Margoth is fantastic, the tour guides and everyone associated with her are great. In Medellin, I highly recommend asking for Edgar Vazquez as your tour guide. My daughter and I toured medellin, went on atv's, went to guatape, hikes, a coffee farm, a boat ride in guatape, and a boat ride/snorkeling in cartegena (i recommend asking for Daniella as your guide). As mentioned, Margoth is highly professional, caring and you can contact her and her associates at any time. I was bitten by insects earlier in the trip and i reached out at 11pm. By 11:30 pm she had appropriate creams delivered from a pharmacy to my room. I highly, highly recommend aracanto and margoth

Make Colombia your next destination and get Aracanto to plan it for you. We are fairly adventurous travelers and till now have always planned our vacation DIY. As we started to plan for Colombia we came across Aracanto and had our first discussion with Margoth. And we were impressed from get go. She was marvelous about suggesting itineraries, incorporating what we wanted and even including entire portions which were new to Aracanto. She communicated with us regularly, made bookings and kept us updated. We were really starting to like the whole idea of using travel planning services. That was just the planning and booking part. What really impressed us was the quality of services Aracanto booked for us. We had passionate local guides in Medellin and Bogota who are proud of their cities and made us feel welcome, took us to places on the plan and beyond and shared their personal stories and in the end became friends. Our birding guides in Santa Marta and Sierra Nevada were again avid birders with encyclopedic knowledge of the local area. Aracanto arranged really comfortable rides and transfers for the entire 10 day trip. Most important they were always there. Margoth and Felipe would answer our calls on the first ring! They were like like having local family. Though 10 days are really short to experience the magic of Colombia, having Aracanto manage the trip let us get so much more.
