The island itself is fantastic, but this cruise is way too long and not worth it. Keep in mind, I stayed in Cap Cana and used the company BRX for the booking (your experience may vary depending on what company you book through). This tour is WAY TOO LONG. We got picked up at the hotel (in Cap Cana) at 7am, we didn't return until 8:30pm. Everyone on the tour was pretty much sick of it and ready to go back early. Our crew was terrible, very rude. They provided almost no food on the boat and very little drink. The lunch is okay, but definitely not good. The island is beautiful, the natural pool visit was a waste of time and so was the first island we visited. We got picked up in Cap Cana, then transported to Punta Cana. We then had to transfer from a small bus to a large bus that took us to the marina. The bus was very crowded as 5 or 6 different small buses drop people off for this transfer. I don't know why they leave from Punta Cana, it's way too long of a boat ride from there. They do a similar bus transfer when you leave, but from a different location. Overall, this tour was terrible and I regretted booking it. Our BRX rep said they've cancelled any remaining tours, but who knows. Run away from this one, you go tot he DR to sit at a beach and eat and drink at a resort, not sit in a boat (it's about 2.5 hour ride from Punta Cana to the island). This was a horrible excursion, waste of precious time in the DR.

Had a disappointing trip in 2023 as trip was badly run but decided to try again and this time booked with our TUI rep Denis. Totally different experience. Travelled out on a speedboat with a stop at the natural swimming pool- saw some very large starfish. Then on to Saona- different beach from last year, more private and secluded, a lovely lunch in a covered hut- even had table cloths on the tables. Wine/ beer/ rum if wanted. Then a lovely relax on the beautiful beach and swimming in the perfect blue caribbean. A totally different experience from last year and my faith has bee restored in Saona. My advice- book with the tour rep.

Not worth it. Beach has rocks you need water shoes to get in. Then the beach is small. 100% difference from Saona. Food was good.

Very romantic, fun, exciting and this is a great way to build memories to last a life time . They take epic pictures to buy and the tour guides are hilarious! They have massages on the island and food with drinks! So beautiful it is worth it !

Nice but not enough room at the beach. Food wasnt good. The staff was nice and attentive. The catamaran was an amazing experience

Alberto and the team were amazing. The whole trip was fantastic. I went with a crutch and they were amazingly helpful the whole way. The "swimming pool" was beautiful. The island wasn't too crowded. Good food and drinks (I'm celiac and had no trouble). The catamaran back was lovely. The photographers were very talented. Definitely worth the money!!!

The trip was beautiful!!! They take you on a speedboat to an area with crystal-clear water for you to swim in. Then they take you to Saona Island, where you get a decent meal and can enjoy the nice beach. The tour guide was very friendly, and it was a great vibe! I do have to mention that you need to be prepared for many stops along the way. The wait time for the stops was the only con, but other than that, the excursion was well worth it!

The guide was perfect explaining everything. The beach and the island beautiful. No regret except a sun a little bit too hot ;)

If you are looking for a straightforward way to get to the island and enjoy it without spending 12+ hours, this is not it. We went through many different options to find the one that didn't make extra stops so that we could just focus on the island itself. That is not what we got. We were picked up early in the morning and after a wait on the side of the road and a confusing bus swap, we were taken out of the right way to a tourist trap with horribly priced souvenirs and food. This was unnecessary and a complete waste of time, putting everyone in a bad mood. We arrived at the port over 3 hours after pickup. There was one guide (super nice guy) for all 75 people on the tour. We were put on speedboats and taken to the natural swimming pool. It was lovey but again delayed us in getting to the island. I think that this one tour company owns many listings and puts everyone on the same one no matter what you choose. The island was lovely and the lunch was good. Just be assertive against annoying vendors and you'll be fine. Both on the way to and from, bus drivers handed their phone to some of the others who proceeded to blast extremely vulgar music, yell, and dance in the aisles. We aren't prudes and don't mind people having a good time, but this is totally unprofessional and miserable to everyone else, and eventually caused tension between passengers. I would splurge for a smaller group and a better tour company.

Booked through website and informed the excursion was full. I I have contacted multiple times for refund via email and whatsapp and at first they responded saying they would process the refund but then they stopped responding to my inquiries. It's been almost 2 weeks and the charge is still on my credit card. This level of service makes me not want to book an excursion in the future with this company and wanted to write this to warn others before booking through their website. Soy Dominicana y me averguenza cuando las compañias como esta quieren aprovecharse y engañar a la gente de su dinero. Jamas los recoemndaria a nadie!

The trip was a fair price compared to similar trips. It was a 12.5 hour day that included mostly travel. We took a boat where our seat did not have any shade in both directions, to and from the island. On the way home we chose to sit on the floor to protect us from the sun. We were offered glasses of water and soda on the boat. On the island the only chair available was broken and there was no shade. It was very hot. The staff on the island ran out of water to drink while we were there. We snorkled for about 40 minutes, the current was strong so it kept pushing us away from the boat.

Very nice excursion. Lovely beach area and catamaran ride was great. Take lots of water and sunscreen. Would only recommend the team to have music on the speedboat and beach area. The food wasn’t great but edible. The photography was a bit pricey but well worth it. Nice people all around.

This tour was amazing! If you come to the Dominican Republic add this to your list of things to do! The tour guide was very good and well informed about the history.

Great tour guide funny as well the trip is great lots to see beautiful island and beach. Also you get to see star fish before the island and swim at a sand bar.

Had an amazing time. Alberto was a great tour guide. The drinks were good but the food wasn’t flavorful. Overall, I would recommend this excursion to others.
