Amazing and tranquil views from the chairlift
We were so pleased we visited capri early morning. We travelled by boat from sorrento, it was a calm crossing then made our way to the buses which took us to the chair lift. Although it was quite daunting as they are single seats and the seats scoop you up, with the help of 2 men, you put the bar across and you are away! The scenery is beautiful, the serenity and peace was amazing for the 12 or so minutes it took to go to the top. 2 men help you out at the top and you are immediately on top of the world with the most fabulous views. There was a cafe with seating - this wasn't over priced, toilets were 1 euro. You could stay as long as you wished whilst taking in the beauty of surroundings before making the trip back. Coming down was even more wonderful as the landscape was admired. Once at the bottom, by about 12 noon, the queue was very long, the buses were full so we opted for an unusual taxi at a cost of 25euros. We then investigated capri before our boat trip to Blue grotto and around the island. Sadly the sea was now too rough to do blue grotto and go around the whole island, so we just did some caves before returning to sorrento in very rough seas!

      So Well Worth It
This is the way to go. The brothers are very organized, attentive and good at what they do. If you want to experience Capri, this is definitely the tour to take!

      Loved the Blue Grotto!
We had a great time and our guide, Fabrizio was friendly and knowledgeable. Blue Grotto was an amazing experience! The description on Trip Advisor was limited so we were not aware that we’d be traveling to Capri by ferry until we arrived at our meeting place. That was a bit of a disappointment because there was little outdoor space.

      Quick and efficient
This company offered private bus transfers and was very organized and efficient. I would really call it a tour because they really didn't offer a lot of information. The got us where we wanted to go and the guide was very helpful.

Disappointing and not the private tour we paid for
We payed 140 euros for a private walking tour and were assured that my friends and I would be the only 4 people on the tour. However, on the evening before, we were advised that another couple would be joining us. I complained to our guide Anna but was told they paid more than we did! This is not relevant - we requested and paid for a private tour and not a tour for 6 people two of whom were strangers. It is also rather disconcerting that different people are charged different rates - it seems we paid 35 euros per person and the 2 people who joined our tour paid 55 euros each! They must have been even more disappointed than we were! The tour itself was also a disappointment - we walked around the city for 2.5 hours being shown the outside of various buildings and given a history of Naples - our guide Anna spoke excellent English and certainly knew her facts but we only went inside one castle. I had expected to see inside more of the historic places - the tour ended in the old town and we were not even taken inside the two beautiful churches on the square. Had we not been advised by a local to take a look inside we would have completely missed the stunning interiors of both churches. This tour was not at all what I expected - too much history, not enough seeing the inside of places and rather dull and most importantly of all - not the private tour I booked and paid for.

      Great tour
We took this tour on our first afternoon in Naples. There were just two of us with our guide, Anna, who was very good. She spoke excellent English and was full of information about the city. Would certainly recommend doing this. My only regret was that as we had been up since 5.00 am for an early flight we were quite tired and finished the trip after 2 1/2 hours while Anna would have carried on.

      in love with Capri
I thought of visiting the Capri Island alone but when I got to the island I ask for information to a guy who told me it was tourist guide and would visit Anacapri and Capri with other tourists and I could accompany them ... it was the best thing I did , thank Domenico and Fabrizio for the wonderful day for sympathy. Domenico I loved the passionate way in which you spoke of each place we visited is impossible not to love the island , I already think back next year and stay a few days on the island.

      Breathtaking!
Amazing tour! Our guide Domenico was the best! We had a small group of 5. Domenico was able to get us skip the line access to the Blue Grotto. Lunch was delicious. Highly recommend this tour.

      Do Not Miss This City!
First off, I'm from Los Angeles. When I'm in the city I always exercise caution. Naples is no different. It is a big city with good and bad areas. But it is a big, beautiful, fast paced city, full of Italian culture. I love Rome, but I also love Naples. Two distinct cities that offer a lot. I'd recommend hiring a car service from the airport or Napoli Centrale. Try Viator. Don't stay near Piazza Garibaldi. And know where you're walking. But don't let that deter you. This city is beautiful. There is graffiti, just like LA, NY or San Francisco. The Hotel Excelsior is terrific, on the bay. Safe and superb service. Be sure to take a city tour by wwwcapriceentroguide.it. Ask to be on Anna's tour. She is a Napolitano who loves her city and will make you love it too! The shopping is amazing. Food was delicious, but expensive...its Italy. Best of all, I walked a lot of the city with no problem. Once the Capitol of Southern Italy, Naples and the surrounding locations should not be missed. Don't expect Rome or Milan or Florence. But do expect to meet wonderful Napolitano's, eat delicious pizza, seafood and learn about an amazing city, influenced by the Greeks, Romans, French and Spanish. If you go to the south of Italy, Naples must be on the itinerary!

      Visit to Capri from Naples
I had visited Caprin almost 15 years ago and now visited again in 2014. It still has same charm, bit more crowded. We travelled from Naples on a day trip. Although the timetable says a boat to come back every hour till almost 10 pm but in actual fact the last fast boat leave at 6 pm. so better check when you get down at the port. Taking a funicular for the square id faster but the bus is more scenic. Anacapri is lees interesting. Always come back down walking as it is a beautiful walk. We were told we should have taken the boat from Sorrento and not Naples where we stayed coming down from Rome.. Indeed Sorrento is a better place to stay. MS

      Travellers BEWARE !!!
Travellers must beware when buying Bus Tickets from a guy in the ticket office in Grand Marina. Make sure you know what change to expect when buying multiple tickets because he only puts coins out first and is slow to add any notes hoping that you walk away before he puts the note out. He took E5.00 from me, a nice little earner for him if he is doing that all day!

      Amazing... just bring your Wallet.
Amazing, close to the end of our month and a half European vacation, but expensive. A must see but just to get there it costs over $50 for each person. Then to see anything water related another $200 by renting private little boat with captain. Then to see the Blue Grotto another $12 per person, then a highly suggested tip for the small shuttle boat drivers. Then when we were done with the 4 hour boat trip around the island, we were "taken care of" by the restaurant our captain recommended. Pretty sure he was getting a cut of the tourists he sends there because while the service was Very attentive, we paid for it! Money was just a huge part of the overall experience. Go there knowing that, and enjoy all that Capri's beauty and history has to offer. See Tiberius' palace, take a tour around the island, asking Captain to drive you to your own private beach so you can have lunch. BUT be ready to swim with your camera and lunch in a plastic bag because most small boats won't take you very close thanks to all the rocks.

      Great time
I went on a private trip to Capri for a day with these people and had a great time. The guide, Anna met us at the port in Naples and we went by private car to the boat. We enjoyed the sun, the calm sea and the beautiful island, both from the sea and from the land. Anna bent over backwards to help us and there wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. This is a trip we strongly recommend if you are time-restricted.

Hello! Me and my girlfriend visited Italy at the end of April and took this trip on my birthday in the first week of May. She booked our Capri trip with the company “You Know”.
In short the trip was absolutely fantastic, we where well catered for with snacks and drinks throughout. We where looked after by a fabulous pair on board the boat who provided us a thorough and very enjoyable time.

The crew was comprised of Mariano, and Peppe. Mariano was our guide, and our friend, who taught us lots about the coast of sorrento and capri. He also drove the boat a little but mainly served drinks and snacks - whilst being entertaining. Our skipper (boat driver) Peppe was fun, and encouraging, and always had something to add. They both worked as a team to give us the best experience on the water and a fantastic trip which will be one to remember.
If they read this I’d like to thank them and highly encourage anyone to board their boat.

The company provided transfer from our hotel to the boat, and from the boat to our hotel. It was fast and easy and completely taken care of.

Mariano and Peppe gave us plenty of limoncello and kept us hydrated and well fed. We where supplied with sandwiches for lunch which helped us mitigate the high expense of the capri restaurants.

Mariano and Peppe took us to several beautiful coastal points of interest and stopped to let us look and experience with Peppe showing off his impressive boat driving skills.

The blue grotto was definitely a sight to see and Mariano gave us some good advice here!

After having a swim we where provided with another light snack of fresh fruit and it was great fully accepted. They helped us in every way possible and where a joy to be around with plenty of knowledge of what to do and what not to do whilst in capri to enjoy it to the fullest. We felt that we had enough “free time” to see what we wanted (within constraints of travel time). The visit to annacapri was beautiful and thankfully our faithful trip guides booked us private busses. We had to pay for the tickets but they where waiting to pick us up as soon as we docked so no waiting around!

We wish them the very best for the future and are grateful for their time.

We went to Capri for a day trip. As soon as we got off the ferry we booked our tickets for the tour ( blue grotto was not an option as it was raining ). The tour was very nice, the captain explained everything and was fun! It was a nice way to see evering on the island! I would go again just to visit the blue grotto!

We booked 2 hrs private boat tour from Blue Sight Capri Boat Tour.

Great experience, thanks to our guide and boat captain Gianmarco. He is a local capri guy with a lot of experience and know every detail of the good spot.

He also recommended us a very good seafood restaurant: Lo Smeraldo located just in front of main harbout of capri

Amazing experience. Boat tour is an hour around the island, if you want to go to the blue grotto you have to change boats because not everyone wants to wait. They said 40 minute wait originally but when we came back around lunchtime it was a lot faster and we waited less than 15 minutes. Regardless the blue grotto is absolutely worth it.

A beautiful cruise around the island on decent size ferry/boat which stops at all the island's highlights so plenty of photo opportunities. There is an opportunity to go into the Blue Grotto but if the wait is longer than 45 minutes they may not wait or possibly transfer passengers who do not want to wait to another ferry. The ferry had a toilet but no paper. The captain provided lots of information as we travelled around provided in English and Italian.

we waited to get our tickets on the Island which we got for 15 euro normally 18. The tour around the island was great but the Blue Grotto wasn't so good, first of all it cost you 14 euro pp to get in, the only way in is from small row boats that hold 4 people and a guide that rows you in. It is very small once you get in and yes the water is blue but its a small circle the boats docin the cave and then your done. What I did not like is when you get on the row boat the guide immediately says " I'm gonna take you through, special for you I will sing you a song for only 10 euro pp tip for me". I thought this was very unprofessional, don't get me wrong we always tip but please don't tell me what you expect for a tip before we even went in the cave. When you get in the row boat they paddle you to another boat where you pay the entrance fee, there were 2 of us so it was 28 euro, they gave us the change and my wife told the guide to keep that and he refused to take it insisting on 10 euor again before we even got in the cave. We ended up tipping him 5 euro at the end but if we were not on a row boat i would have not tipped him at all. Just a heads up its a small row boat and you have ti sit on the floor of it and duck very low when entering the cave. Like I said the tour around the island was better than going in the cave, what a racket and unprofessional guides trying to make money on the tourists. Also it was slow season and we waited about an hour to get in. Who ever runs this should really look into this cause everyone on our boat that went in all came back and complained about the same thing the guides telling you what they want for a tip, several did not tip at all because of them telling you what they wanted so they left them nothing. We were a group of 8.

The Bue Grotto was closed on the day we visited due to high water. We opted for a boat tour which was great to see around the permiter of Capri.

If we did it again, we would opt to be able to rent a boat and take a swim near the blue grotto

The views were spectacular. There was to be an English translation but is was in Spanish The tickets at the dock were cheaper at €18 than what I paid in advance $25. We arrived at the pier at 1 o’clock and could not get the blue Grotto tickets. The last trip had just left. Other companies were offering blue grotto rides. The Lazer office had put a cutoff on the last ride out. We had already committed in advance by buying our ticket online for the ride around the island tour with option of the blue grotto which was not available. I Suggest Buy your tickets at the dock and go before noon. There are plenty of rides! Keep in mind - The ferries take 1 1/2 from the main land to get to the island

I truly enjoyed the boat tour. The guide was entertaining. We went on a very busy day so there was a lot of waiting around. The Blue Grotto has an insane wait, so after an hour of waiting the captain took us back to shore and had us come with a boat of people that actually wanted to see the Blue Grotto and didn’t mind the wait. The Blue Grotto is not part of your fee so bring cash. The guys on the little boats taking you to the the Blue Grotto were hit and miss. Our guy didn’t say one word or acknowledged us but the boat ahead of us sang and was so entertaining, ah well.
