Thank you so much for taking the time to review your amazing experience on a tour with us! We are thrilled you not only saw whales, but you witnessed other majestic wildlife such as bald eagles, sea lions, and seals. We are lucky to have such wonderful diversity in the spring and the fall months. We hope to see you again.

Staff were super knowledgeable, accommodating (for a surprise engagement!) and friendly. Our guide answered any and all questions, was willing to take pictures for everyone and the crew supplied light snacks and water for everyone on board! The tour was beautiful, and we saw 6 humpback whales along with some sea lions, bald eagles and sand pipers! 10/10 would recommend. It was worth the commute from Van to do the tour with this very experienced company. Thank you Vancouver Whale Watch!!

Had an excellent time on the whale watching tour. Saw a group of humpback whales as well as sea lions and seals. The trip lasted about three hours which seemed like the perfect amount of time. The tour guide was friendly and informative and made a point of speaking to each guest individually. There is the option to leave a tip so make sure to have cash on you.We chose to pay the extra $15 for the shuttle service from Vancouver which I recommend. Our driver Levi was hilarious and made the ride to and from the whale watching tour extra special.

Honestly surpassed all our expectations. Was out for multiple hours. Saw 3 pods of Humpbacks, one of which was very close. Always felt like they were really motivated to get us our money’s worth. Crew couldn’t have been nicer. All around fantastic experience!

Our group got to see 4 humpback whales, a bunch of sea lions, seals, 2 bald eagles, and a pelican. Sue, our guide, was so knowledgeable and clearly loves her job. Captain James was awesome as well. These folks are so passionate about wildlife and it was a pleasure to be on the water with them. Bonus: Steveston is so cute and a great place to visit!

Very expensive for what you get, it was only 3 hours and most of it is travelling to one spot to see a couple whales that are so far away you cant really see them , other boats are in the area and block your view , didnt see much just a few sea lions and couple whale backs and fins , super disappointed in what we saw and how short it was. and expensive !!

Hello, Thank you for leaving us a review. Please note that we do price our whale watching tours in line with what is the industry standard, and in fact our tours are cheaper than some of the other whale watching companies in Vancouver. Also, the cost of fuel and boats (maintenance, repairs, inspections etc.) make whale watching tours the price they are. Regarding the distance we keep from the whales and time with them, this is strictly regulated by government guidelines that we have to adhere to. When viewing animals in the wild we cannot predict what we will see each day or what their behaviors or activity will be, so the experience does vary on each tour. The duration of our tours range from 3 up to 5 hours, depending on where the whales are. On your tour with us we must have encountered whales fairly soon, which is why the duration was only 3 hours. Thank you for choosing Vancouver Whale Watch Kindly,

We had an incredible trip out of Steveston. Our guide had so much knowledge and was so excited to share it with us. We saw seals, sea lions, and humpbacks. On the way back we came across a large pod of Orcas which was absolutely beautiful to watch. We were in the strider boat which I highly recommend.
