About
There’s a reason for the expression ‘free as a bird’. The idea of being able to take off into flight or soar above the clouds is pretty appealing – especially when many of us are stuck at our desks most of the day. Your guide will give a short but informative interpretive overview of the mechanical structure of the Skyride and will identify key landmarks and facts as you peer toward either the Coast Mountains or Metro Vancouver. And then you'll ride to the top on the top! When you arrive in the alpine, explore the natural surroundings and take in the stunning panoramic views, check out the World Famous Lumberjack Show or visit the Mountain’s two resident Grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. Before you leave, be sure to check out what's showing at the Theatre in the Sky to get a whole new perspective on beautiful British Columbia.

Ride to the top of the mountain
Sep 2019
It was very easy to get to Grouse Mountain, there was a free bus from the harbor front. We took the Skyride to a base up the mountain. It was easy and fun, oldish kids would certainly like it. Up there, we went to see the grizzly bears, which was very neat. You got to see them up close. There were some rangers around to answer questions. We watch a corny but fun cowboy show, heard there was a good bird exhibit, and then rode a chairlift to the top of the mountain. Definitely a fun visit. Did it with my adult daughter, but we agreed she would have liked it at younger age too.

Fantastic day out
We spent a fantastic afternoon and evening up Grouse Mountain on our recent holiday to Vancouver. I'd been looking forward to it since booking a few months in advance but it actually exceeded expectations. The lumberjack show was really funny and entertaining. The birds show was so impressive it even got the attention of our teenage sons. We went up the chair lift to the wind turbine, where the views were spectacular, without having to queue at all. We saw the bears close up when they went for a wander early evening after most people had left. We only got chance for a few holes of frisby golf but really enjoyed it. Then we did the skyride surf back down on the gondola - I'd expected this to be scary, but it was just exhilarating and very peaceful. The only down side to the day was the restaurant closing so early - we'd been hoping to get a full meal at tea time but ended up making do with a coffee and microwaved pie from the coffee shop.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write such an awesome review! Its so great to see that you took advantage of so many of the activities that are included in the mountain admission ticket, and that you got to add some extra adventure by adding on the Skyride Surf and Eye of the Wind! You're right, the views are absolutely spectacular from such a high vantage point in the wind turbine, it really is an incredible experience! We hope to see you again soon!

Great experience
My wife and I and our 4 teenagers came on June 24th, 2019. We printed our tickets out at the hotel in case there was a line. Parking was plentiful, and the lines were short. We got to the top in time to watch the Lumberjack Show. That was hilarious and a good time. The two Grizzlies were very active and we got to listen to them talk about the bears and why they are in captivity. Educational for me and the kids for sure. Took the lift up to the peak where we were allowed to walk around at our leisure. Took the kids to do the ropes course and they really enjoyed it. It was a rainy, foggy day, but we made the best of it. And the fog lifted about 5pm and warmed us all up and made visibility perfect for the end of the day and the ride down. We missed the bird show, and it was too foggy to try to zip line (although others seemed to enjoy it). Highly recommended. The kids really enjoyed it.

May 2019 • Couples
This was a beautiful place to spend the day. The bears are truely awesome, the bird flights spectacular and the lumber jacks entertaining and all in the price of admission to the sky train. A must see when visiting Vancouver
