- Sharethejoyandgood0 contributionsIt was worth itIt was a sunny cold weather in november and i had so much fun walking around and feeling fresh in nature. Washrooms are clean. You can buy drinks and food and there is also a souvenier shop at the gate. The lights and music were also so niceWritten 2 December 2024
- SkimadBristol0 contributionsAll good. All good. Parking was easy, just over the road. The queue to get in passed quite quickly and I really enjoyed the views and detail that has gone into the place. It is rather strenuous and doesn't suit people with mobility issues.Written 4 October 2024
- Global178346691710 contributionsCrowded, loud and disturbingFor someone who truly loves nature, this was a disturbing experience. I feel like the beauty of the area has been pillaged and used as a money-making venture. The place was over-crowded with loud, boisterous groups of people in what should have been a peaceful natural environment. My husband and I were both a bit disgusted.Written 25 August 2024
- adrianrQ8341WE0 contributionsWell worth a visitThis is a great attraction; it is set up so that people can be well entertained for a couple of hours. The walk across the bridge is good fun as it wobbles around...hang on for the ride. The tree top walks are fascinating and very well set up and the skywalk is well worth it. Whilst the crowds were pretty low when I was there, the signs are evident that it can get very busy with long waits to buy tickets and actually get a spot on the bridge itself. Good food and drink options available.Written 24 August 2024
- vrindhar20180 contributionsCrowded but worth a visitWay too crowded, maybe because it was summer but the cliff walk was a little more quiet and the place in general is very serene and has great viewsWritten 20 August 2024
- MartyB7190 contributionsA Few Tips about the Capilano Suspension Bridge ParkSome hotels will have a coupon that will save you $5. We found a better savings with our AAA card. Regardless of the price, this experience at Capilano Suspension Bridge is well worth. It. Our first experience was in 2017. We are glad we went a second time in July of 2024. Both times we were able to catch the free bus. This famous suspension bridge, 450 foot long and 250 high over the Capilano River, was initially made in the late 19th century. With at least 4 different owners, this exhibit has grown to be a world class showcase. My wife who has a fear of heights, had no problem going over. It is secure enough and wide enough for hundreds of people to cross back-and-forth at one time. Now, she did not like the “swinging,” but that is to be expected with a suspension bridge. There are plenty of signs and it is impossible to get lost. In fact, most of the descriptive signs are quite interesting. We did enjoy the “Treetops Adventure” walking a suspension 98 feet high from one tree to another. Close by is “Grandma Capilano” which is over 250 feet high and 1300 years old. In 1895 there was one Douglas Fir that was cut down that was over 417 feet high. Just imagine if that tree was preserved? We did see a number of naturalists. Our favorite presenters were the “Falcon” professionals who gave us insights about these famous birds. Back over the suspension bridge is the 2011 addition of the Cliffwalk. One is literally walking around the gorge cliff. Many times, there was only glass and the bottom of the gorge looking at you. There are a number of cafés and a very large store to purchase tee-shirts, sweatshirts and all the stuff you would find in a souvenir shop. - TERRAvelista0 contributionsOver priced even with the 25% discount after 5pmWe pre-booked well in advance the entry for this area we came to after visiting Grouse mountain in the morning and the Sea to sky gondola the day earlier, unfortunately both days being rainy, foggy and around 10 degrees Celsius in early June. We parked the car in the very large car park, which is not included in the high priced entry and notice this area is busier than the earlier mentioned 2 attractions: - lots of people and large groups filming just about everybody but themselves, which is annoying if you are a private person; then they start laughing in their language as if is something wrong with you.... not with them - there are different ticket offices depending if you paid in advance or you want to buy your ticket there and some of the queues were rather long even in our rainy day - you enter what feels like a well organise village with shops, cafes etc where lots of people sit listening to the live music - then you can chose to cross the main bridge itself to the other side of the river where there are more attractions, or do the Cliffwalk, which is also spectacular and which will bring you back to the Cafes area - interestingly the bridge did not make me dizzy as the smaller bridge at the Sea to sky location the day earlier made me; the annoying bit is, as I said, some people put cameras in your face to film everything!!! - on the other side of the bridge is the beautifully and magically done the Lights area which leads to the Raptors Ridge, having only one predator when we were there - if you turn right, you reach the Donut cafe (as I called it due to their nice donuts, where also a baby squirrel was nibbling on a guy's feet sitting at one of the tables; how cute!!!) then you can do the Tree walk and see the world beneath you with a waterfall in the distance. This is another beautiful area, unfortunately again with people putting cameras in your face to film the world!!! - you cannot return to exit but by crossing again the Capilano bridge and you should leave at least 90min for seeing the whole area Simply gorgeous although pricey, no wonder the houses/gardens in this area show a higher level of prosperity than other parts as the tourist economy brings lots of benefits in the detriment of other areas, right?Written 10 July 2024
- C2768TRmikek0 contributionsMany bridges and paths to walk though, amongst trees that are over 200 feet tallThis meticulously kept park has many bridges and paths to walk though, amongst trees that are over 200 feet tall, it provides an amazing experience to be out in nature. We walked the trails for about 2 or 3 hours, and then we ate lunch at their restaurant, which was pretty good. The parking situation is a pay lot across the street. It seems to fill up on weekends, so if you are driving and can get there early, you have a better chance to get a spot.Written 2 July 2024
- 857jeanneg0 contributionsBeautiful vistas for a priceNice park and well appointed and beautiful views. We were very surprised how pricey it was! Tree tops were closed so they offered a 10% discount but still $70 per person. Definitely need to be in good physical condition to take advantage of all there is to see. Lots of steps and steep paths. Not stroller or wheel chair friendlyWritten 3 June 2024

- Melanie7670 contributionsThird visit and we'll be back! This was my third visit over the years to the park with my now-teen son. Each time, we arrive about 20 mins before the park opens and head straight to the suspension bridge to get some pics before others arrive. It is a beautiful location for a walk and some fresh air. Lovely trails, nice food options (my son got a kick out of the 'otter balls'), prices in the shop seemed high but some great items (we picked up a banana snail plush!) My favourite spot though, is where kids can compare their own 'wing' span with a falcon/raven etc. I've taken pics of my son in this spot when he was four, six and now fourteen - there is no better souvenir! Tickets are a bit pricey but well worth it!Written 7 May 2024
- brianlO1239LQ0 contributionsOverpriced but worth doing onceThis is undoubtedly overpriced for a walk in the woods, but I am glad that I went. It wasn’t crowded at ~4pm on a Monday in March. The bridge wasn’t so excited but the temperate rainforest is a unique and beautiful environment that is not familiar to most parts of the world. Being in the forest and the totem poles were my favorite parts.Written 22 March 2024
- 935charitap0 contributionsCapilano suspension Bridge Park....Beautiful views and fabulous attractions..I travelled to Vancouver on 3rd December and made it to the Capilano suspension bridge park as part of the day tour. It was a splendid experience... The bridge, tree top hopping, cliff walk...the views were awesome from the top... The park itself was lit in various these waiting to welcome Christmas.. overall, I would say a must to do activity while in Vancouver....Written 22 March 2024
- Rohan J0 contributionsMust-do Half-Day TripThis is a must-do for visitors to Vancouver. The suspension bridge is impressive, and the walkways, including the treetop walk, are well built into the forest, or against the cliff-face. Being from Australia, my family had been to similar bridges and suspended walks at home, but this was the first time we had seen a rainforest of pine trees, and the deep gorge and clear fast river add some drama to the scenery. To cap it off, there is a good selection of light or restaurant food for after the walk. The only thing that didn’t resonate with us was the addition of artificial lights throughout the walkways. Perhaps because we weren’t there in the evening, we didn’t get to appreciate the lights in the dusk, but in the daylight, we felt that nature would have done better without artificial additions.Written 18 January 2024
- 46yarelia0 contributionsTotally Worth It!We took a spontaneous trip to Vancouver from Seattle and when searching for things to do this popped up. We were skeptical at first because of the price per person but we were SO HAPPY that we ended up doing it. Literally, an experience to remember. We were so lucky that Canyon Lights was still happening because it was truly beautiful. We got in at 4:30 so we got there right as the sun was going down and barely had enough light to view the Capilano river before it got completely dark, but it was still beautiful with all the lights. I would really love to go again during the day to really admire the forest and surrounding areas. Truly one of a kind experience.Written 9 January 2024

Had a free day in Vancouver and a friend convinced me to visit the park. There are free shuttle buses from Canada Place to the park. The admission isn't cheap but we managed to get $5 discount vouchers from our hotel concierge. The whole place is magical. I recommend taking a history tour of the park (included with admission). Please note that the park is much cooler and wetter than the city, have an extra layer of clothes. There is a restaurant and a gift shop if anyone is interested.

Went here during our trip to Vancouver. It is a bit more pricey than what I thought but once you enter you realise it is worth every penny. A lot to see from the little bits of history to the tree tops and the forest. The bridge itself gives you amazing views as long as you arent scared of being on a swinging bridge!

This is fun. Try the beaver balls. It's a good experience walking over the bridge. Not scary. The cliff walk is really cool too. Quite expensive but the shuttle bus improves the cost and reduces bother plus the driver gives some commentary. Not too crowded on a winter weekday. Probably crowded in summer which wouldn't be as good. Just pick a day when not snowing.

We completed this activity with Land Sea Tours so our tickets were included, but lots of people seemed to be waiting, so I would purchase tickets in advance. The bridge is absolutely amazing, but we were surprised by all the other smaller bridges built into the treetops. It was incredible to go from tree to tree and see the beauty of the area. We also enjoyed seeing the 3 live birds and learning a little bit about them. This is a must do if you are in Vancouver!

Located super close to downtown Vancouver (only 15 minutes away and there are free shuttles you can catch), I would say this is an activity that everyone should do, even though it is a bit on the pricier end for the amount of time that you'll likely stay. I thought I would be there for a few hours, but I was probably only there for half that time and I saw and did everything that I could. The views are fantastic, especially if you're there on a nice day. I think there could have been a bit more crowd control going across the suspension bridge and even in the treetop walk - just a space people out and not make it so rushed. I would recommend getting there right when the park opens and pre-purchasing your tickets so you don't have to wait in line. I actually started with The Cliff Walk, because everyone went to the suspension bridge, and I ended up being the only one doing it at the time. So I really got to take my time and stop wherever I wanted for photos, which was nice.

The park was beautiful and well maintained and laid out. We visited on a weekend afternoon for 2 hours and found it to be quite busy. The bridge was more wobbly than my wife expected. The treetop adventure and cliffwalk were fairly short but very well done. There's a shuttle to downtown but we took the seabus ferry to North Vancouver and easily transferred to the bus. I found a $5/ea coupon online while waiting in line but the attraction was still overpriced.

Shuttle pick up points at three different location in the downtown vancouver area, shuttle was on time, times listed online and accurate. About 2 hours should be good to spend in the park and do all the trails. There is a great gift shop and a restaurant on site as well. All of the trails are beginner level and easy to do for children and adults.

What a neat place to visit. The cliff walk was my favorite part. It is a bit pricey, which is a drag. We went on a rainy day during August (new Covid restrictions had been put in place), so it wasn't very busy. Though I can imagine how frustrating it would be if you paid so much money, to be in a crowded place.

Nature's beauty in the rainforest! - Though the tickets are a little pricey, if you factor in the free shuttle from downtown Vancouver and the breathtaking beauty, the value is worth it and I would do it again! For those in BC it is an additional bonus as you can be an annual member for free once you attend. I would recommend going early in the day as I noticed it was far less busy at around 9am and by 10:30 and after got very busy. Oh, and be warned, this is not for someone with physical disabilities or balance issues- I saw some really struggle and one young boy in a wheelchair couldn't go across. Be sure to take time to soak in the beauty! Oh and for those of us that are AAA members- bring your card as I got 10% off!

Even on a damp, cold winter day this place is stunning. We bought our tickets online, walked from our hotel to the downtown area and caught one of the frequent buses to Capilano (15 minutes approx and included in the price of our tickets) You should allocate a couple of hours for this self guided tour, wear comfortable non-slip shoes & be prepared for lots of walking. Don't do this if you are unfit, scared of heights or suffer from any form of vertigo because there are swing bridges and 'cling on' walkways - all elevated in the trees. Make sure you stop near the entrance and take the time to read all the history of the park - it is fascinating. Ideal for children if they are not too young.

I am interested in visiting this place when I am in Vancouver. I am not interested in doing the big suspension bridge, but would like to try the tree top paths.
Do you have to cross the big suspension bridge to get to the tree top part??
Written 13 November 2019
Unfortunately Yes the only way to the tree top walks is via the Suspension Bridge. Both are spectacular and worth the visit.

Anyone done this that is afraid of heights?
Was thinking maybe if I went in the evening when it wasn’t as busy, and it will be in October .... would like to go with the others in Vancouver- but could I do it ???
Written 21 September 2019
I don't mind heights but cannot tolerate anything but a solid surface under my feet and detest suspension bridges.
I managed by sticking to the edge of the walkway and waiting for the bridge movement to settle whenever necessary. A very worthwhile experience and great sense of achievement - do it!

How long in time would one say they would spend here? Half day to catch everything or a few hours? Planning on arriving around noon and attempting to determine if we can do this excursion before end of night or better as first thing in morning.
Written 1 September 2019
Morning is the best time to visit. Not many people, so you can enjoy the place a bit more, and the bridge won't be swaying that much. Three hours is ample time. Of course, you can spend longer if you want, but I also suggest going to Grouse Mountain afterwards!
