      A complete vineyard experience!
A complete experience! America and Nick ooze passion for their estate and wine making skills! The estate is simply magnificent and the attention to detail is impeccable - can’t wait to stay in the Hobbit House sometime!

Oastbrook Estate Vineyard amazing accommodation at the Avalon Waterside Lodge
We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at the Avalon Waterside lodge at Oastbrook Estate Vineyard. From the moment we arrived and met with the owners Nick and America we knew this place was special. The accommodation was to a very high standard and the views around were stunning. We can highly recommend this place plus we took the opportunity to sample some of the excellent wine from their vineyard. We definitely will be back stay plus include a vineyard tour next time.

Great Day Harvesting at Oastbrook Estate Vineyard
We met America in the Vineyard to be informed we were picking Pinot Meunier grapes. After a health & safety briefing we started removing the netting protecting the vines from the birds and commenced sniping off lovely bunches of ripe grapes. We filled up buckets quite quickly and then started to transfer to large trays for the transfer to the winery in Nick’s Land Rover. It was a glorious October day and we learned a lot from America about the Vineyard and viticulture in general during our water break. After a morning’s picking we were shown the beehives on the walk back to the Tasting room / Winery. We were also shown inside the beautifully designed Hobbit House before have a lovely lunch with some limited edition Pinot Meunier from last year’s vintage. We were invited to see the pressing of the grapes we had just picked and were given a bottle of Chardonnay as a thank you our efforts. It was a great day with brilliant hosts and I look forward to visiting again soon as well as becoming a member of their Wine Group. Cheers!!

      Vineyard guide and tasting
Friendly and personal. The guided tour was animating and interesting, submitted with great expertise. The wine tasting was expertly presented, though the group perhaps too large for more detailed information on the wines. People seemed to be more interested in having a drink. The Chardonnay wine was very good, sparkling wine good but not yet as good as from other English wineries. I would not recommend the pinot noire, no structure. Maybe it was still too young.

You’ll leave with a smile on your face and some wine in a box!
From America’s warm welcome and entertaining, informative tour across beautiful Sussex countryside, you really see how passionate she is about looking after her vines. Nick articulately leads an interesting tasting experience explaining the history behind the Oastbrook wines in the most beautiful tasting room overlooking the vineyard and with a view of the pressing room. A great day out!

      Lovely afternoon
We had a lovely time at Oastbrook estate.. starting with a tour of the vineyard with America.. a very vibrant lady who works very hard and is passionate about the wine and the work that goes into producing the wine they make. Then had a tasting with Nick who explained he history and production process… all in all a great day . Maybe a little too much information can be given so can be a little overwhelming but you appreciate the passion they have for their craft .. great day .

Amazing few days at Oastbrook Vineyard
We had an amazing Trip to Oastbrook Vineyard staying in a spacious Bell Tent overlooking the beautiful surrounding countryside. Everything was great from the facilities to the fantastic wines we sampled on the Vineyard Tour. America and Nick are so welcoming and it was so interesting to learn how their fantastic wines are produced. All in all for us a perfect stay and we can't wait to go back!

      Visiting for the 2nd time
My husband and I visited with another couple which was amazing in October, as we had so much fun and learning about wine which is our favourite we decided to treat my parents as a Christmas present to which they massively enjoyed. We will be going back for the children tour as 6. We had so much fun and was made to feel so welcome. So experienced and passionate about there vineyard, the wine is absolutely amazing.. we will also try to enjoy one of the events (opera)they have next year. Hoping to also stay at the hobbit house which looks awesome. Must visit, we will continue to return

      Informative & very entertaining
Really recommend the wine tour of Oastbrook - was super interesting to learn all about the process and even test some of the grapes ourselves. The whole tour is amazing value for money and the winery space is fantastic. The wines were great, the hosts were great, the dog was lovely & we even learnt about bees. Was only sorry we hadn't allowed more time and had to dash off at the end - will definitely be back, hopefully to stay in one of the fantastic options on site (tipi or hobbit house!) Thank you America & Nick (& Lora)

      Loved this!
I visited the vineyard with my friend for her birthday gift. I thought it was very easy to find, and on arrival it looked beautiful felt like I was abroad! I’ve never done a vineyard tour before so this is my first and I am unable to refer to any others but I had the best time! America is the owner and she is amazing! I felt like she was a best friend I hadn’t seen for years, extremely bubbly and friendly, made us all feel at home. She is extremely knowledgeable about her vineyard (of course) and also her bees. The tasting was presented by America’s husband Nick, all the wines we tasted were discussed and step by step how they were made. A lot of interesting facts I did not know about wines which has certainly opened my eyes. Ok the wine tasting we had sparkling rose’, Pinot gris and Chardonnay. All are AMAZING, I bought a bottle each to take home! Alongside the wine tasting we had a cheese board with locally made cheeses, which were to die for with crackers and grapes. The whole experience was brilliant and I would definitely return! thank you for a great time!

      English wine at its best!
This was a very interesting tour of the vineyards. America Brewer, owner, gave us a very enthusiastic and informative tour of the vineyards, then a wine tasting including cheese, biscuits and grapes. The English wine was definitely up to standard of many French vineyards. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. This lady deserves to succeed due to her hard work alone.

      5* Glamping? I think not...
The tents are set up in a boggy field with no views of anything vineyard related. The owners are clearly trying to make a quick buck due to the influx of Covid staycationers. National Geographic reviewed this place and said 'you can smell the Chardonnay in the air'. You can't. You can however smell the stagnant water from the mosquito haven ditch behind the tents. The mozzies are out in force past 8pm. The staff need a lesson in hospitality. They all seem to have a nervous disposition - Maybe because they know its poor as well and are embarrassed to look the customer in the eye. Go elsewhere. (This review does not reflect the tour or wine products - I'm sure they're nice for the price they retail at)

      Glamping is ok
I wouldn't define it as "luxury under canvas". The atmosphere is amazing, Ben has been very helpful but there is a very poor attention to details, for example the lawn hasn't been mowed (and the day before our visit it was raining!), the toilets are very far from the last tents, no charcoal for bbq etc. We had a nice weekend but from the website we were expecting more.

What sets Oastbrook apart from other vineyards is their exceptional level of passion and professionalism. The owners, America and Nick, go above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of their business delivers excellence. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and commitment to providing a memorable experience truly sets Oastbrook apart. Additionally, their deep knowledge and expertise in the industry add an extra layer of expertise and authenticity to the overall experience. Whether it's the quality of their product (and we tried quite a few!) the ambiance of their establishment, or the genuine care they have for their customers, Oastbrook stands out as a standout business in the industry.
The Glamping experience was also fantastic, despite the weather tryings its best to disrupt things. Extremely comfortable, everything you need for a good nights sleep and a great breakfast.
Thank you for an incredible anniversary weekend.

Firstly, we stayed in a glamping tent - what a great experience and genuinely the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Next day we did the vineyard tour which was not only very informative but America made it highly amusing with her various stories. Then on to the wine tasting itself which Nick made equally interesting (oh, and the wine was great too!). Loved it.

The first time we visited we learnt so much about the wonderful owner America & her husband Nick and the wine making process from beginning to end. We explored the grounds, met Loira the super cute dog and tasted some fabulous English wines. The cheese we had along with the wine was delicious and the facilities were top notch.
I’d love to spend more time here!

Beautiful location and wine exceeded expectations. The owner, America, is a great host, very knowledgeable and passionate about English wine. Definitely worth a visit to try some excellent English white wine, Pinot Gris, (fabulous, not to be mistaken for Pinot Grigio!!) and sparkling Rose made in the traditional method and dare I say, better than Champagne!.
Enjoy the experience, we certainly did!

Had a lovely afternoon at Oastbrook estate. Started with a tour in the vineyard with America who explained how the grapes are lovingly grown with sometimes a bit too much information but it’s lovely to see her passion for the hard work she dies to make the wine .. the second part is a tasting with Nick in the beautiful tasting barn.. overall A very nice afternoon .. America and Nick work so hard to produce a really great assortment of wines.. we went with our adult kids and their partners and they enjoyed it too

The place is Beautiful, we had an amazing time, America was incredible from to start to the end, we did the wine tour and had our wine paired with locally source honey, cheese and Biscuits! I strongly advice you to come and visit America at the Hobbit House and Oastbrook vineyard. If you want a luxurious English wine you will be going for a treat.
I can’t wait to book for couple of night at the stunning Hobbit House

America was an amazing host when we visited Oastbrook. We loved learning about her English wine from Sussex, spending time in the vineyards and strolling in the the fields. You could see a Bodiam Cadtle from the Estate! And the wines were delicious - we lover

America is very enthusiastic about wine, is an interesting tour guide, and she has produced a fantastic sparkling Rose but my favourite is the Pinot Gris. The location is beautiful, with the vineyard, Sussex hills and the unique Hobbit House.
