Mike is brilliant- incredibly knowledgeable about lots of different things - he crams in loads of interesting facts & he makes the tour good fun too. We loved it. Plus it turned out it was just us two on Saturday morning, so extra special. Would not hesitate to recommend Mike’s tour.

What can I say. You turn up to a guided tour expecting a large group going on the tour but it ends up just being yourself. Must be because it was a Monday! Anyway Mike the tour guide was was really informative and he knew his stuff about Bristol. From the time before Brunel the medieval Bristol to Brunel and the construction of the Clifton suspension bridge. To Banksy all the way to the present with the pulling down of the statue of Edward Colston and Black Lives Matter. Plus much more that hasn’t sunk in yet! Overall this is the perfect introduction to the city of Bristol. Thanks Mike and thanks for the pointers for which pubs to go to in the city.

This tour was great! Mike is knowledgable and enthusiastic about Bristol's history, and shared it in a friendly and accessible way. Took the tour on a chilly and windy day but it still worked well as Mike uses a microphone and provides a small earpiece, making it easy to hear everything. All really interesting information - highly recommend the tour!

Currently holidaying in Bath and booked this excursion. We loved everything about our experience. Our fantastic guide, Mike, was full of historical information and fun facts. We took in so many extraordinary sights and amazing views, short cuts off the beaten track and learnt many surprising things about Clifton and Bristol. 17,000 steps, wear comfy shoes and takes lots of photographs.

Spur of the moment booking and ended up solo and so got a private tour. Mike was really friendly and was so knowledgable and passionate about the Bridge and all things history in Bristol. Couldn’t have asked for more . Saw some amazing views and got everything backed up with his geographical and historical info. Was an interesting morning. Saw many hidden corners of Bristol never knew existed ….. great morning. Def wear comfy shoes and take Mikes tip and get the No 8 bus back to Clifton to pick up your car! 😀

After 20 years in Bristol in the 80's/90's, I thought I knew the city and its history pretty well. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Mike's knowledge of the city is fantastic and his commentary is very informative and amusing.

This was such an informative tour of Bristol. I was blown away by all the history of the city. Mike was an excellent guide and allowed us plenty of space to ask questions and explore certain points of the trip. I appreciated the hearing device, as I could follow his commentary throughout the busy city. It was also a bonus that we had near perfect weather in the middle of November! It is a long walk and I strongly recommend comfy walking shoes.
