    Brilliant
Brilliant tour. Will was very knowledgeable, engaging and a great storyteller. He pitched the tour so well for our 8 year old son and the adults in the group. Would fully recommend.

    Hauntingly fun
What fun! Walking through the alleys and old streets of Falmouth. Our host Will brought to life a wealthy host of spooky stories, murders and ghostly goings on. Thoroughly enjoyable and good value.

    An absolute must do.
Will aka Ghost pirate was a brilliant ghost host. Friendly, knowledgable and fabulously entertaining. This tour is an absolute must if you are visiting or even if you are a resident.

Dare you take this tour? Beware - ghosts and ghouls abound!
We had taken the walking history tour with Will two days prior to this so were looking forward to hearing more about the darker side of Falmouth. It was amazing how Will had aged nearly 400 years in two days. He looked good despite the fact that he'd been dead for four centuries, although slightly pale. Maybe a bit more ghoulash will help get your colour back Will. It was interesting to hear about the shipwreck of the early 1800s as well as the story about the two Dutchmen who were tragically slaughtered in the high street and whose hands can be seen at the window of the property where they died. Will also extended the story he had previously told us about Robert Parker and his 'custom of the sea' dinner party! Adds a whole new meaning to the phrase having friends round for dinner! A great way to end what was a brilliant week in lovely Cornwall for us. It's a good idea to check the website and advertising board at the Prince of Wales pier as details of dates and times are displayed there.

    The harbour spooky history!
All!! The pirate kindly delayed the tour for us to catch up as we were running late! We got lost through the country roads and they were ever so kind with us! They were easy to find as not only you can follow the stops as per the itinerary but a dead pirate with an accordion can’t be missed! He has got a beautiful, powerful and clear voice that helps you following those amazing spooky stories! The tour is also full of surprises! A local could not help to step in and bring his awesome anecdote! We’re still unsure if this was just an impromptu or part of the show! Listen out for his sad story and let yourself go loose with all his tour suggestions!

    Ghost Tour of Falmouth.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Informative and a dry wit. Im born and bred in Falmouth so this tour helped me understand some of those stories I heard as a youngster. Still think the inspiration for Richard Parker in Life of Pi may originate in one of these stories.

    Ghostly Ghost Tour
Very informative, interesting and amusing start to our holiday. Personally I think 50 people in the group was too many, maybe maximum of 30?

Excellent tour with a great story teller.
Will is a charismatic and engaging story teller with a deep knowledge of local history. I loved his tales of horror and especially enjoyed his melodeon playing as we walked around the streets of Falmouth. Great fun & a good introduction to the town.

We were warmly welcomed by Will at 2:00 who was quick to make introductions around our group of 10 persons. After a short, helpful briefing of what to expect on our walking tour, Will set out the founding of Falmouth the town and its development into a port. Pointing out and stopping at key buildings and locations around the modern town and relating them back to the past came easily to Will.
The talk was well researched, delivered with just the right amount of reverence and humour. Interesting snippets of newspaper reports supplemented with visuals helped understand how the social history of the town developed. Surprising facts about the diversity of the early population and Falmouth’s importance in early World communication was fascinating.
It is a most enjoyable walking tour that takes in the better and lesser known parts of the town. It’s encouraged us to explore more when we are next in Falmouth and to seek out the texts and books that Will referred to. The talk has an easy pace with ample opportunities to pause and admire the views over the town, harbour and surroundings.
Well worth the tour fee and an excellent way to spend 90 minutes.

What I liked about this tour was it traced steps of my usual route through town, which turned out to be the road in and out before Arwenack Street led through town. The historical guide Will delivers Falmouth's history with narratives containing facts such as dates and names, which brought them to life. As a history
enthusiast, I'd heard smatterings of some stories and the gaps were filled in, with new stories given too. Now walking through town will be an even more fulsome experience with the stories of the characters from Falmouth's swashbuckling past to give flavour to the spectacular views.

A very natural orator and storyteller, Will unearths the hidden history Falmouth with a magical tour full of fascinating stories. Despite knowing Cornwall well, I left with an entirely fresh perspective on the town which was wonderful. His intelligent insights and good humour really made for an enjoyable afternoon - would highly recommend!

My husband and took the tour with Will in September and we are so glad we did!! Will has such an enthusiasm for sharing his wealth of information on the history of Falmouth and it certainly rubbed off on us. We left with a sense of awe and understanding of this lovely town. And when we walked by certain landmarks or shops it reminded us of a story he had shared with us. I highly recommend taking this tour and having a blast hearing the stories of Falmouth from Will - you won't regret it!!!

Will gave us a superb 90 minute wander through the streets of Falmouth, telling stories of daring do and skulduggery as well as entertaining us with his harmonium as he guided us on the tour. His research during lockdown was meticulous and his delivery was pitched at the right level for the group - not too intense but not too basic. A great way to spend an hour and a half in a lovely town with an informed guide. We learned so much and would highly recommend the tour. Thanks Will and good luck with your Halloween adventure.

Thoroughly interesting & entertaining. We were so pleased we made this part of our holiday. Full of stories we'll no doubt be recounting for years to come. Children loved it too - aged 11 & 9. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting, moving to or living in the area unfamiliar with it's rich history.

This walking tour was a great and swashbuckling way to spend the afternoon! Captivating, amusing, informative, and well timed, my wife and I had a delightful time learning all about the story behind Falmouth today. I am partially interested in history and am not usually the kind of person to go on a walking tour so wasn’t sure whether I’d be totally on board, but Will’s passion and enthusiasm, alongside his friendly and professional approach, had me hooked! Will brought Falmouth’s streets to life, bringing colour and intrigue (not to mention a few piratanical tales and spectacular view spots) to this lovely place. Highly recommend whether you’re passionate about history or dropped it in Year 9!

Take a bow , Will👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 - The Falmouth Uncovered tour is Superb!
We arrived at the meeting place, the Killegrew Monument at the required 10 minutes before the hour to be met by the tall”pirate” wearing a microphone , armed with a file and an umbrella . This“ pirate’ was our guide and the originator of the Falmouth undercover tour,Will! It didn’t take Will long to set everyone at ease with chatter interspersed. with bits of information about the origins of Falmouth. This continued over the next 90 odd minutes including an §§impromptu very accomplished performance by Will on a squeezebox type instrument ! Will has put a lot of research and prepartion into the walk - Those 90 minute disappeared very quickly as it was soooo interesting!
Will was talking about doing a Ghost tour for halloween- which I suspect will be as good and maybe even better than the Uncovered tour!
Thank you Will for a wondeful insight into the early years of Falmouth!

A really pleasant 90 minutes spent on this fantastic and hugely interesting tour with Will. He clearly knows his stuff and the tour has a good balance of facts, quirky stories and some great views.
The pace of the tour was mentally and physically appropriate and suitable for all. I would
thoroughly recommend The Historical Walking Tour Through Falmouth to those visiting and who would like to learn more about how it became the great town it is today.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Will. He delivered a wonderfully informative and entertaining tour taking in sights and stories both on and off the beaten track. Pitched brilliantly for the history buff (my wife) and those with a more casual interest (me), wills ability to tell stories and paint a picture of how Falmouth once was is captivating and a great use of a couple hours.
