I booked 2 of my children onto a group surf lesson, they absolutely loved it, the instructor was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable but more importantly had a great deal patience, both of my children were able to stand on the board by the end of their session, I hired a board and wetsuit for myself on 2 different days, the equipment is very good quality and again all the staff are friendly and knowledgeable with some great tips and advice, I would highly recommend these guys, and I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Amazing surf lesson with Alex! She explained things clearly, was enthusiastic and made me laugh. I found her teaching style easy to follow so I managed to stand up on my board a few times. Thanks Alex!

We ran a yearly trip for 60 people down to Newquay last weekend, and Fistral Beach Surf School were fantastic with sorting our 40 wetsuit and surfboard rentals. The staff are lovely, and made sure everything ran smoothly for the get go. I can't recommend better service for price if you are considering a large group rental in Newquay. Thanks guys. - UMSC

My friend and I paid for a group improver lesson but it ended up just being the two of us so it was like having a private lesson. We had surfed with our friends before but were less confident with standing and catching waves. Layla was a fantastic instructor! We did lots of fun drills on the shore and she was the best hype girl when we caught any wave (however clumsily). I have been fully convinced to buy a surfing hat now as it definitely makes you a better surfer. Afterwards, we feel a lot more confident when popping up and she gave us lots of good tips for when we use our hard boards.

We had a fantastic time on our improvers course, definitely leveled up our surfing. Our instructor Layla was fabulous super friendly and really knowledgeable. She even went out of her way to take some videos of us on my GoPro which was so kind and the videos were great!

Had my first surf lesson with Nick he was great told us everything we needed to know and stayed in the water for the 2 hours coaching. Everyone was stood up catching waves by the end Had a great day would definitely recommend

My son (age 9) and I (age 39) had a fantastic surf lesson at Fistral. We had never been surfing before and by the end of the lesson we were both able to stand up and catch a wave. The instructors explained everything very carefully and demonstrated what we needed to do before we got in the sea. Then we had a go. It was so fun! The wetsuits were really warm too. We were given extra tips and advice in the sea about where to put our feet and when to start paddling. We thought the instructors were great! We will definitely be back for another lesson, wetsuit and board hire. Thank you :)

We did the beginner surf lesson; me my daughter (13) and son (12). We loved it! Great instructor, helpful and patient! Definitely recommend.

Brilliant experience, staff amazing and teaching was great. We hired the equipment for the rest of the day which helps with the whole experience. Can’t remember our instructors name but he was amazing giving all of us some individual coaching, he was from Australia.

We had really good fun attending the beginner surfing lesson, both the tutors were extremely experienced, empthathic to be able to handle a large group of more than 15 people ranging from as young as 9 to 50+ in the same group. They spend time individually with each and everyone in the group to make sure they are able to learn and also have fun at the same time. I would recommend the to anyone of any age wanting to learn to surf !

Absolutely brilliant So accommodating and genuinely interested in their clients . They want everyone to learn and have fun . We will be back again next year .

Myself and 3 children enrolled in a 2 hour surf lesson for our first try. Instructor was great. Had a fantastic time. Children loved it.

My two sons and I participated in a group surfing lesson. There were only four of us in total. The lesson was amazing. Our instructor was Alex. She was an amazing teacher. She gave each us individualized attention and helped each us improve, even though we differed in our skills. I highly recommend learning from the Fistral Beach Surf School. Every staff member we encountered was professional and highly skilled. The entire experience including the delicious Cornish pasty, obtaining the best gear, the lesson, and the hot shower at the end, was flawless.

Me and my best friend, both in our 30s had 3 days of surfing lessons here and it was EPIC! We had Alex on two of the days and Layla on one - both are fantastic instructors, so knowledgeable and helpful, and FUN!! They teach every step with so much patience, and constantly give you feedback in and out of the water, teaching at its best - I didn’t think I’d ever be able to stand up on a surf board but we did, thanks to our amazing instructors!! Another important point to note is the location, this is by far the best located surf school, right on the beach with all the equipment you need. We will absolutely be back for more surf lessons and fun - thank you to the team for being amazing!
