      Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door
Got the royal tour today from Paul, couldn’t have had a better day, sunny and cool wind! Picture opportunity galore. Pauls knowledge from being from the area was unbelievable. P perfect time of year to go as less busy which makes everything so much accessible . Can’t wait to book another tour, Thanks Paul!

      Amazing views and scenery
The views were amazing, I loved the scenery. I really loved the walking up and down the landscape. As part of the tour our guide Paul showed us parts of the Bournemouth and Poole area which were along the route to Durdle door. Overall this was a day well spent.

Some of the best views you can see in your life
The tour was fantastic and the views were fascinating. People interested in swimming, please carry your costumes. Paul was very helpful with his knowledge about the area. For all the people thinking about the cost, i found it to be very reasonable as it is pick and drop till Bournemouth station. Some 5-10£ more for the convenience is worth it. I would strongly recommend everyone to go for this 1 day trip whenever you are visiting london. Do it with Paul, it will save you from headache of planning the day. Plz note that busses are not regularly available from Wool station and there are no busses in off season weekend.

A simply beautiful and must visit location.
I visited both Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door with my GF and was blown away with the spectacular setting and crystal clear water. The area is very relaxing and the well routed walk from Lulworth cove to Durdle Door is a must to take in the amazing scenery. We found parking very easy and is situated perfectly, it is a cost of £10 but well worth it. The Lulworth Cove Inn is highly recommended for a refreshment and food.

Rain stopped a full day trip.
Rained most of the day so this ruined the day for me.The operator could have cancelled this day the day before.I had no phone number to contact the driver on the day.The drop offs were completely rainy and walking was not comfortable over land. One drop at Corfe Castle, the cafe was understaffed and unbearably hot with number of customers. Not a good recommendation.

      Not to be missed…
First time in Bournemouth, couldn’t not visit the iconic Durdle Door. Went on a mini bus tour, the tour guide Darren was super upbeat, friendly and professional, able to engage and answer any questions. The day was very sunny which made the trip an amazing experience, top notch!

Fantastic tour with an amazing guide
What an amazing tour with beautiful scenery. It was so fascinating learning the history of these places as well. Marek, our guide was awesome. Very nice and considerate. The walk to Durdle Door, then to Lulworth Cove was just exhilarating. We rewarded ourselves with some mouth watering ice cream at Lulworth Cove. My friend and I are definitely going back, and soon

We did the full day tour and it was excellent, it was a surprise for my mum and dad and we had a great time. Gerry the tour guide was witty and made us laugh throughout, he was very friendly went out his way to ensure we were comfortable. We were really lucky with the weather. There is a lot of walking but most of it is optional. It was excellent, the only thing I have to say is that it would have been nicer to have more time at Corfe castle and village as there is a lot to see here. That said, it was well worth the money and I’d defiantly recommend this to anyone who wants to explore the Jurassic Coast. Great day out for all the family. I can’t wait to go again ☺️

It was a great day trip despite horrific weather. The pick-up was punctual and air conditioned mini bus was tidy & comfortable. The drive & guide Gerry was very friendly, approachable & put all of us at ease. He gave brief description of each place we visited, no rush, plenty of time provided to walk around & explore on our own. Part of the tour was affected by bad weather but overall we enjoyed the tour and definitely worth it. A great sense relief seeing these breath-taking natural wonders especially during current Covid pandemic. Plenty of photo opportunities along the way...
I must also thank Tim from the company who kindly rebooked our trip for the date of our choice as we had cancel the initial Aug trip at last moment (within 24 hr) due to unforeseen circumstances. I highly recommend this trip organised by Discover Dorset Tours

I am a bit late in leaving this review but knew that I must do it ( went on trip on 16th August - sorry).

We did this full day tour as we were only in the Bournemouth area for a few days so wanted to see as much as we could. It was a fabulous trip, highly recommended even though the weather was not the best at the start of our day.
Paul was our driver and such a lovely fella, knowledgeable and accomodating. We were extra lucky as we were the only 4 people on the tour the day that we went so it was a very personal tour was even better.
We were pick up prompt from our hotel and the full itineary was explained. At each stop, we were given enough time and information to appreciate our surroundings. As we drove through Swanage,Paul was kind enough to stop at the Heritage railway station as there was a train in the station and my husband is such a train buff. He allowed us to get out and take photos which completely made my husbands day!! He then took us on a walk when we arrived at Durlston Country Park and although it was wet and windy, he could have just sat in the vehicle and let us just do it ourself but he accompanied us and we realised that we really needed to do to appreciate the beauty of the area.
At Corfe Castle, we were dropped off again at the station which hubby loved and given an hour to explore on our own which was lovely and enough time. As it was around lunchtime, Paul gave us ideas for getting food but particularly recommended a little local bakery which was absolutely fab!
For us the highlight of the trip was Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. It was absolutely stunning. Paul dropped us off in the car park at Durdle Door and gave us advice on how to truly appreciate the whole area and avoid the crowds as much as possible. It was amazing and we were given enough time to explore.

We would really recommend this trip and particularly with this company. From the time that I emailed with some questions about the trip, to booking and then taking the trip itself, it was handling with professionalism and in a wonderfully friendly way. Nothing but praise for Paul and Discover Dorset for giving us a wonderful day to remember

Firstly, if you book this tour, do it directly with the operator - it's £10 cheaper. I realised this after I had booked. The tour starts between 8.20 and 8.45 depending on where you get picked up (there are multiple stops around Bournemouth). You finish around 6pm.

The guide Gerry was comical, always laughing and entertaining the group. There isn't really that much to do around Bournemouth so i booked this tour for the Sunday. During February there aren't many crowds either.
You will go to the chain ferry at Poole harbour and go across, it's only 4 mins. It was choppy when I went but I wasn't seasick - and i get seasick!

The first stop was Studland which was OK. But seemed a bit of a pointless stop.
The next is Durlston Country Park which has lovely views and a nice small castle which has been renovated.
Corfe Castle was the next stop which was lovely. We even climbed the hill opposite within the 2 hours we had here. This was probably my highlight.
Then to Durdle Door which is a great sight, as well as the white cliffs. Also another highlight! You got around 2 hours here also.

The benefit of this tour is that you are not rushed. In some cases i think you get a little bit too much time, but our whole group were quite young (under 40) so i guess we were quick? You will get some information in each spot but mostly you are left to roam around on your own which is quite nice.

I loved the group that I went with as they were language students and very friendly.
If you are not sure what to do, i would recommend this tour. Unless you went specifically to these sites then some you may not find on your own.

Hi Emma, Thanks for your review and positive feedback. I am glad you enjoyed the tour with Gerry. We do try and strike the right balance of how much time to stop in each location, but it does depend on the individual somewhat to see what you get out of it. The hill you climbed is a great example, though not everyone would be able to do that, and we do try and cater for all abilities and tastes. If you book direct from our website we are also able to offer hotel pick-ups which can make things a bit easier on the day and allow a little more time for breakfast. Thanks for travelling with us and again thanks for the feedback, always appreciated. Tim

We did the full day Jurassic Coast Experience trip in early March

There is nothing much to write except the tour was excellent. The guide, Paul Knight, arrived exactly on time, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The coach was in very good condition and the stops were very well planned

There were only two of us on the tour that day and instead of cancelling like a lot of other operators would have done, they still went ahead with it. This speaks volumes about the companies values. It was pretty much like a private tour. And since we were on time and it was off-season, we even got to see some extras like the steam train as Swanage. Picked us up from outside our hotel and on the way back dropped us at the coach station since we had a bus to catch

Overall had a great time and would gladly recommend them and Paul!

The scenery is exhilarating and it's definitely something worth visiting

A super trip around beautiful parts of Dorset. Our guide and driver was clearly very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us some wonderful pieces of knowledge. We were able to visit all the sites thanks to his local knowledge of the roads as it was one of the busiest days of the year for Dorset attractions and some roads had been closed due to the volume of traffic. Just a super day out, thank you 😊

I went on a half day trip on Friday to Lulworth cove and Durdle door and then on the full day jurassic Coast trip yesterday . Paul was our driver and tour guide extraordinaire on both days. I have been on holiday in Bournemouth both in 2018 and in 2022 and om both occasions been on one of your trips. It is the Beauty of the jurassic Coast that brings me here on repeated occasions ..I holiday alone and the trips I have had with discover Dorset are the best part of each holiday I have had . Each time I see something different of the area. I meet And talk to different people and get as I have In the last 2 days to take amazing photos. A friend I shared them with on what's app commented on the ' cool ' things I had seen and photographed and the stories about the area I had told her from Paul's commentary. Paul went out of his way to be kind and helpful to myself and others . We had one man who had a lot of mobility issues and it was heartwarming at one stop to see Paul going out of his way to help the man's wife get him up the steep path. I cannot praise the trips with discover Dorset enough and the fact j have booked trips during 3 different holidays tells you that I have really enjoyed and loved these trips and found them value for money and part of my wish to return to Bournemouth in the future. I will be visiting Another part of the UK in 2024 but all being well plan to return here in 2025 and will be looking to come on one of the trips Discover Dorset run then . If there were anything that could bendkne better then I would say it as I like to be honest and say things as they are but there is not

This eastern end part of Jurassic Coast tour is a wonderful personalised introduction to England's southern coast with Paul Knight Discover Dorset & More . Starting and return to Bournemouth is a unique bonus. Just a coach ride for me after arriving at Heathrow airport and choosing to stay 2 nights in Bournemouth enjoying Pier and atmosphere on a stunning hot early May2024 weekend combined with this fab Tour. The tour takes in more than the Jurassic features of climb down to Durdle Door, coastal walk, it also included car ferries in this coastal area between Sand Spits, Ludlow Castle and Globe, very ancient Corfe Castle ruins well worth the entrance, Harry's Rocks (from Distance) and other attractions. At Durdle Door the time in the museum and surrounds of coast below the carpark added more cliff and sea views Paul was able to specifically alert us to, otherwise may have missed. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable full day trip. Julie

We had a wonderful day despite the scorching heat and crowds everywhere. We drove more as the ferry wait would take too long but it was fine. It was a bit hot at times on the bus but we had lots of stops so it did not matter that much. Our guide Paul was excellent and made the day really special and informative. Would do it again! Thank you!

Yes, the heat is crazy! But I'm glad Paul kept it "breezy" :-) I believe, passengers cannot exit from the vehicle on the ferry at the moment due to COVID-19 rules, plus the summer queue can be really long... So sometimes, it's better to go around. Thank you for your review!
