Such a fun experience for a first time shooter and an experienced shooter, catering for different difficulties. Would definitely go again, the staff were really helpful and friendly. Special thanks for Pete and Ollie! It was great to go during the weekday, less busy and enjoyable day out.

We went to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday and had a fantastic time. All staff were professional, the tutors helping you to achieve the best that you could. Loved the rifle shooting and knocking down the little ducks in a row, wide variety of types of shot to be taken here. The shotgun was a bit more tricky, however managed to hit the clays and always 'just missed' that rabbit. The axe and knife throwing took skill but was well worth the effort. The free tea and coffee helped the day go well and all the tutors (Ollie and Ethan or was that Nathan?) were amazing.

We attended as complete beginners having never fired a gun before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were greeted by friendly and approachable staff who created a welcoming environment for novices, patiently showing us how to safely operate the weaponry and get the best out of the session. The site is well run and organised and we had plenty of time at each station to get a feel for the various techniques we were being introduced to. There were some much more experienced members there too who were very friendly and happy to offer tips and advice to us. I highly recommend Polowood to anyone curious about clay shooting. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will certainly be visiting again!

The whole experience was a very positive one. We had initially booked a couple of weeks ago but my hubby was poorly and had to go into hospital and very kindly we were allowed to re-schedule- so thanks very much for that. The instructors were all really good, I was actually quite scared but they were so calm and re-assuring. The instructions were clear and informative and because of this I was able to hit quite a few clays - I had not really anticipated hitting any at all - so that was a huge bonus. The addition of a welcome coffee/tea was lovely and set us up for our morning beautifully. We were lucky with the weather, grey but not windy or wet, and relatively mild for the time of year. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this activity - give it a go - you will enjoy it!

The staff at Polowood were fantastic. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We tried all four activities for an hour each. The day was very well organised and well run. I felt safe even when using live rounds in the shotguns which were always loaded by the staff members. I would highly recommend

10 of us took part in the taster session, all ran smoothly, would have liked more time for sure. Great fun had by all, no injuries. Some instructors definitely more experienced than others. They need more instructors so call them if you're up for it , I would if I lived closer! Definitely look forward to going back when the next opportunity arises! Set in lovely surroundings, there may be a little noise from the shotguns so thanks to the neighbours for putting up with it, its a small price to pay. If you haven't been you should have a go I'm sure they'll give you a neighbours discount, they are a nice bunch!

A fantastic shooting experience for me and my 2 friends as a birthday treat . from start to finish we were made welcome by all the staff , the surroundings were lovely and our experience was made even better by olly who not only helped us but made our experience fun , definitely will be returning , we loved it 👍 Thanks for taking the pics olly too x

Excellent 2 hour archery experience with Dave the instructor. We wanted to try something different and booked this up. It was excellent and friendly from the moment we arrived and were greeted in the car park, the mini bus ride up to the shooting ground and the welcome on site. Dave was a fantastic instructor, patient and helpful and with his guidance we definitely improved. Highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to try something a bit different and fun. Just to add Polowood was good value and a better price compared to many we researched.

A really special place in a stunning countryside setting. I have been twice with my two sons for air rifle shooting and archery. I was really impressed at the professional, yet relaxed, atmosphere. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and great with my autistic boys. My sons can't wait to return and I am very happy to support this business. Highly recommend.

The crew were very accommodating for our group (15) and took us through the necessary training/instructions for us to have a great time! Quite a few of us were first timers and came away thinking "we should definitely come back" and that "we'll be better next time". A great laugh and a lot of fun!

My friend and I had never experienced archery before, but after Gary's training, we felt confident that we would eventually hit the bullseye 🎯. ....and we did! From the booking to the event itself, all went like clockwork - we were given such a friendly welcome plus a free cup of tea (or coffee) 😁. If you've never tried archery before - this is a great venue to learn. Lots of other activities are available too e.g. axe throwing, clay pigeon, shooting range etc.

It was a great decision to try a tasting session. I had a fantastic time! They picked us up with a van from the designated location. We were greeted with warm drinks :). The staff is extremely kind, and the instructors are amazing. Four hours of fun. Would I go again? Absolutely yes. It's quite therapeutic and helps with focus.I recommend it.

Cannot recommend this place enough. We did the 50 clay pigeon shooting and Pip was absolutely amazing; so patient, knowledgable and friendly! I’m a complete beginner and I started the lesson completely missing the clays to ending the session with beating my boyfriend! We will definitely be returning!

A great experience at the shoot, instructor was Xcllnt and all the staff were friendly and very welcoming, had a really good time and would recommend anyone to visit Polowood for a great day out.
