Fun walk; not a history tour
I did this solo (you can get a price for just one adult by emailing) and so I needed 3-4 hints to complete the 11 places. It was a fun way to get an organized walk past many tourist sites while walking on some side byways, and I got to see a lot of Brighton in 2 1/2 hours that I might not have seen. I would have liked a bit more history on the large sites I was walking by but overall the locations they picked out were fun to find and the tour was very well organized. Just make sure your phone has lots of battery!

      Very enjoyable and fun
It was the best way to discover and enjoy a day trip to Brighton. Finding the answers to the clues and discovering a bit of history of the place was enjoyable. The captain was fair 😬 and kind. We would love to do a similar activity in other cities. Thank you for this lively experience

Great experience. The treasure hunt was a really fun way to see the city, and showed us many interesting places we otherwise wouldn't have noticed/visited. Use of technology was very engaging, I would recommend this to anyone - local or tourist.

Great thing to do to get you around the sights of Brighton. The way this treasure hunt is carried out using your phone is really good, you can stop and be distracted at any time of the hunt.
Well done to all that created and execute this adventure.
Would recommend this with no hesitation to anyone, also we felt it was great fun and value for money.
We are now looking into other ones in other cities that Treasure hunt do.

Had booked the treasure hunt as a 'Covid safe' outdoor activity for my family and got to do it in December just before the regulations changed. It was great fun, we're local to Brighton but ALL of us learnt a lot about our fabulous city and saw things we'd walked past hundreds of times before but never even noticed.
In some ways, doing the treasure hunt with Covid restrictions worked well, the streets were much less crowded and we could take as much time as we wanted looking for clues without getting in other people's way. Would highly recommend this.

Organised this on behalf of the company that I work for as a team building exercise.

This is a great thing to do for tourist or a local bod - its a lovely little walking tour of Brighton and really captures the best bits of Brighton hiding all the horrible dumpy parts of the city.

It was a muggy day and only being 2.5miles long it was a tough slog, on a wet and windy day it would be just as tough, you do need to be fairly mobile, I have issues and struggled the next day, you do need comfy shoes especially if you have multiple groups playing as it may become a little competitive

Highly recommend this for families, friends and business' the team at Treasure Hunt were brilliant and very helpful.

I'm so happy to hear you had a greate experience playing this as part of your team-building exercise. It sounds like things got a bit competitive there! Glad you found our service helpful, too. We're in other great cities around the UK too if you ever fancy playing again. I really appreciate you writing a review, it's so important for small independent businesses like us. Ian 🦜 (co-founder)

During lockdown my parner and family and I have done about 20 treasurehunts so when I say I rate Self-Guided TreasureHuntBrighton (and I did their one in Bath too) as the best, I do have a lot to compare them with.
    Why are they so good?
1 The hunts are easy to follow with a lyrical style that suits kids (though my family are all adults) but they are not childish.
2 The clues are sensibly strong and straightforward to decypher.
3 The answers to the clues are all there to be found but can take a really careful search. This makes them very satisfying. You really are seeking things out.
4 Even if you (think) you know the area you will find out new and interesting things.
5 The circuit is a loop so you end up back whereyou started. This means that you don't have to trek back to your car etc.
6 Everything works. The clues and the phone interaction. And it works fast. No waiting around for the next clue.
7 You do not need pen and paper. No printing and no soggy clue sheet if it rains.
8 Very well priced. My next favourite company charges more than twice as much.

I did have a minor glitch with this hunt as the first clue area was blocked by some impromptu filming. Even though this was a Sunday i got quick help and Ian at THB got us around the problem, quite literally.

I thoroughly recommend treasure hunts in general as a way to explore and make a walk super engaging. And specifically TreasureHuntBrighton.....Enjoy!!

We HIGHLY recommend booking a treasure hunt with Treasure Hunt Brighton!

We did this as a team building event with work and split into 3 teams of 5. It was great to explore our Home town with a little bit of healthy competition! You can pause the tour at any time so if you wanted to stop for a drink, your team wouldn't be penalised which I think is a great idea! You can ask for hints along the way via a 'whatsapp' style chat, which the other teams used but we didn't, we were determined to win, and we did!

We also did a prize for the winning team and a prize for best dressed, we got some great comments whilst we walked around the city as pirates!

Thank you for a great team building activity!

Really pleased that I decided to pay for this treasure hunt, its definitely worthwhile and I would recommend anyone to do it. Learnt lots of interesting facts about Brighton whilst also seeing lots of different parts that we would probably have missed if we hadn't of completed it. You can take as much time as you want. We stopped for lunch, looked in shops and spent some time on the beach whilst completing it. The clues are sometimes challenging but you have a hint button which we did use a few times.
Have now signed up for treasure hunts on different cities. Such a great idea by the creators.

We really loved this tour. It made us look at the city we have lived in for more than 25 years differently and see things we had never noticed. Just the right amount of time and the App is fun. Thoroughly recommend it!

My girlfriend and I had great fun. The treasure hunt clues were somewhat challenging yet completely solvable. It was well thought out and as first-timers in Brighton we felt it gave us a good look around the city.

    Thanks for the fun day.

We really enjoyed this treasure hunt. The clues were fun and not too difficult to work out. We saw lots of things we wouldn't have ordinarily seen and found it really interesting.
What we liked about it was we could take a long as we wanted and could have even done it over 2 days if the weather had turned. As it was, we took around 5 hours with a couple of pit stops and lunch in some really nice pubs.
The only drawback was there no option for 1 person to do this by themselves - it was a minimum of 2 people. If you are a single parent with children you could email the company but otherwise its 2 or more.
