Great fun with Mal and Pete!
We went to the Cotswolds during our honeymoon and booked with Mal and Pete to see some of the sights. They picked us up from our hotel and drove us around and gave us a great blend of historical information mixed with fun facts. You could tell they were both passionate about their little slice of the world. We went back to some of the places they pointed out later in our trip and had a great time!

Great tour, and lovely beers in beautiful countryside
We had this experience bought as a gift and it was excellent. It was a two hour drive but well worth it. Larry the guide was great answering questions and telling us all about the beers. The samples were very generous and what was lovely was the relaxed atmosphere. Some of us stayed and sat and had food from the Mooba van and chatted over more beer afterwards. No one rushed you off and we met some lovely people.

The highlight of our week at Cotswolds
We were picked up by Pete and Mal from the DeVere and taken around some of the most scenic locations in the Cotswolds. We would have never seen any of these sites had it not been for this tour. Mal and Pete kept the tour light hearted and were full of interesting facts about the locations. They also kept our 12 & 9 year olds engrossed with interesting stories. Due to the pandemic we were the only family. The vehicle was spotless and sanitisers and water was provided for us. There was also a shield between the front rows where Mal and Pete were and the back, where we were sat. The whole experience was exceptional and I cant recommend the tour enough.

      Amazing tour
This is probably one of the best tours I have booked and the pandemic has actually made it positive as we were the only one on the tour as if it was a private tour. Pete and Mal were so equipped with knowledge and history. I felt like I was listening to the stories of my grans as they were very kind and funny. It was a good tour despite the gloomy weather. They know where the good spots are and of course, Mal knew where the secret toilets are so it wasn’t a trouble for us stopping for loos. They are both passionate with what they do and they also maintained strict covid precautions which we appreciate as we are working in the healthcare sector. Prior to this tour, i have done a lot of research about cotswolds villages and there is just to much too see and If I have driven and made my own tour, i would not have appreciated the beauty of the place. They know exactly what to see and experience. I am Highly recommending their tour.

      Amazing Cotswolds Village Tour
We booked the Cotswolds Village Tour directly with Pete & Mel on 27.07.20. We arranged pick up from our hotel at Moreton in Marsh and they took us all the lovely places in Cotswolds. Mel is very welcoming and kindly guided to us during the Tour. Her local knowledge is exceptional. We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we had such a wonderful time. Highly recommended Mel & Pete Tour. Almost forgot to mention that "This is COVID secure Tour"

      Highly recommended Cotswold Tour!
Mal & Pete were the best tour guides we had by far. Mal is a very warm and knowledgeable lady who lived here long enough not only to know every village by hand, but also the historic and present gossip as well! We enjoyed every minute and had wealth of information about all the villages we visited. Very COVID safe tour too. We visited at least 6-7 villages. Stopped at all of them for a stroll. Mal guided us to the best shops and the good food in all of them. We discussed food as well history too! Lovely scenes everywhere they took us. We took photos that looked like coming out of fairy tale books! We highly recommend Mal & Pete tour and we will definitely book another tour with them when we visit again!

      Enjoyable experience!
We had a great day in the Cotswolds with Mal and Pete. We saw a variety of towns. We especially liked seeing the areas where the movie Emma was filmed. The old hotel in Broadway was fascinating. We would recommend this tour

      Absolutely the best tour
Amazing! Mal and Pete were the best guides. They offered so much information and went out of their way to make sure they told us details that would keep the kids interested. The girls (age 10) didn’t want the tour to end.

Mal & Husband Live and Breathe the Cotswalds
You should choose this Cotswolds trip because of the guides who live there and have spent most of their lives their as innkeepers, castle manager, real estate agents and so on. They know a lot and really are proud of the place. As Americans we were amazed by the countryside and medieval and later architecture, homes, estates, villages, sheep and flower fields. If you like BBC british / English countryside this is for you. This is also an insured and bonded vendor some are more shady. If you are staying in london take the paddington station to moreton-in-marsh exit. Spend the second half of day in oxford--it;s on same train line.

      Amazing day
Mal and Peter were amazing tour guides. We were arriving into the Cotswolds in the morning from NYC straight from LHR and and wanted an overview of all the highlights of the area for our first day to help us figure out how best to focus our remaining days there. Unfortunately the afternoon time slots were sold out but they actually went out of their way to arrange a special time for us as a private tour not on their original schedule. Very knowledgeable from decades of living in the area and extremely friendly. They are known among the locals at the shops and also took us to non-touristy areas with amazing views which we appreciated. Local food knowledge and recommendations were great as well. Highly recommend them!

      A day in cotswolds
We had a lovely time on this tour. I went on it with my mom, we had one full day to explore the cotswolds and i booked this tour ahead of time through viator. We started our day at lower slaughter passed by the mill museum then we took off to burton on the water, then off to the other villages, with a stop at broadway. The weather was amazing in our opinion cloudy with light rain. We had a very private tour; with Mal alone, it was like a road trip with a friend who was very well informed, funny, a local and very hospitable. Thank you Mal and Pete, we’ve really enjoyed

      Cotswolds - A Magical Tour
We booked this tour from home ahead of time to be part of a one month trip to Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the UK. As we had a lot going on it was important that things run as smoothly as possible. We were picked up promptly at the Oxford train station as arranged and immediately whisked away to start our magical journey. Our lovely tour guide Mal provided a wonderful narrative of the history, culture, and subtle details about the area throughout the tour. She was very personable and warm which added to this incredible experience for us. Her vast knowledge of the lesser known tales and historical references was greatly appreciated. This tour was a highlight of our incredible trip & we will cherish these fond memories for years to come!! THANK YOU.

My daughter (13) and I had a great time with Mal and Pete, who are lovely people and an adorable couple. Pete is the designated driver, so he can focus on navigating the narrow country roads in Cotswold villages while Mal provided the commentary. We had less time than planned due to the railway strikes, and had to head to Cheltenham Spa station from London Paddington instead. But the weather was gorgeous and we absolutely loved the half day we spent with Mal and Pete. They took us to picture-perfect, idyllic villages (including each of their favorites) and introduced us to the town they call home. We had plenty of opportunities to get out of the car, walk around, take pictures, and do some shopping if we wanted to.

If you are debating if you should book a private tour vs a coach tour - private is absolutely worth the extra money, and I would choose Mal and Pete again in a heartbeat. First of all, there is no way for coaches to get to some of the villages. There is also nowhere to park in many places, so Pete circled around in his car while Mal walked with us and told us the history of the towns and villages. They both love the Cotswold and it shows. And did I mention how funny Mal is? I loved her sense of humor and her stories :)

Both my daughter and I ranked the Cotswold tour with Mal and Pete the favorite thing we did on our 12-day UK trip. We barely scratched the surface but it was enough for us to decide we want to come back to the area and stay a week in a cottage next time (and Mal already had great recommendations for us).

Great tour! Mal and Pete were tremendous guides. They know the history, the people, all the stories and the best places to stop and look around. We accidentally left our phone in their van and the responded immediately, even though it was completely inconvenient for them to do so - returning the phone to us early the next day. Highly recommend this tour!

Our family of 5 loved this tour with Mal and Pete! I asked if they could pick us up at a different location (within their perimeter) and they were very flexible. Mal and Pete were a lovely couple to spend the few hours with. Both were extremely knowledgeable about the region and chose beautiful villages and towns to visit. They allowed us time at each location to walk if we wanted, we visited a mill, the lavender fields, and an old hotel, among other sites. We highly recommend this pair of Cotswold enthusiasts!

Mal and Pete were absolutely lovely and my husband and I had such a nice time exploring Cotswolds in their company. They are very flexible on how one would want to customise their trip. And as they are locals, they have many snippets of history to share and know many hidden spots of Cotswolds which are tourists-free! This was my first time in Cotswold and I was sceptical of being able to explore Cotswolds without having our own car but Mal and Pete made the experience so worth it! Would totally recommend this private tour as it's got it all - beautiful landscapes and even more beautiful company! :)

There is no better introduction to the gorgeous Cotswold countryside than with Mal and Pete. My husband and I had the most delightful day chatting, hearing interesting stories, learning about the rich history of the area, and enjoying lots of laughter! Mal and Pete are true experts, sharing little known and off the beaten path places in addition to the big draws of the area. Mal and Pete took the time to really get to know us, keyed in on our interests, and tailored the day to suit us best. I can't recommend this experience highly enough - don't think twice, book it and thank me later.

We were met so conveniently at the Moreton-In-Marsh train station to begin our absolutely marvelous tour of The Cotswold. When the tour ended about 5 and a half hours later, we parted as friends with guides Mal and Pete who shared their Sunday morning and afternoon with us. We loved seeing a number of towns in The Cotswold and taking in such beautiful countryside. We were given so many opportunities to stop and take photographs or to walk in the towns. Since Mal and Pete have lived in The Cotswold for many years, they knew just what to show to us and what to add in terms of the long history of the area. We highly recommend this way to experience the Cotswold!

We had a lively day (one of the hottest of the year) with Pete and Mal. Pete did the driving and Mal shared the sights, though they took turns telling wonderful stories about the area. We took the train from Oxford to Moreton in Marsh where we were met by our two cheerful hosts.

The day was planned but flexible based on our desires. It was a perfect overview of the Cotswolds and whet my appetite for a return visit. They took us to perfect spots for photos and allowed us to linger in shops along the way.

I highly recommend a tour with Mal and Pete, worth it!!!

Excellent Cotswolds Tour. Mal and Peter picked us up from the Moreton-in-Marsh station and drove us through at least 10 Cotswolds villages before dropping us back at the station.

They explained the significance and context of each village and the homes along the way. We got to walk around the villages. Lower Slaughter is an exceptionally beautiful one to walk around. Overall, Cotswolds was a magical experience, seemed straight out of a medieval fantasy movie.

Mal and Pete were great local tour guides of the Cotswolds! They new the history, best sights, and amusing anecdotes of the area. They managed to avoid the most crowded areas while sharing the beauty and charm of the Cotswolds. Pete drove while Mal chatted, with Pete adding in a bit too. They made sure we saw everything of interest even though we only had four hours and we felt like we saw all the highlights and then some. Pete made sure to time our perfect arrival back at the train station. We would definitely tour with Mal and Pete again!

From the minute I emailed Mal to the end of our fantastic tour we had a wonderful experience. We were picked up at our accommodation in Broadway by the wonderfully friendly Mal and Pete and showed so many villages and little surprises that we would not have found on our own. All of our questions were answered throughout the day and we came away learning so much more about this beautiful area. The tour was tailored to our interests and preferences and we never felt rushed. I am really glad that we booked this tour with Mal and Pete.
