Couldn’t fault Sam, brilliant tour!
Apr 2021 • Friends
Sam gave an excellent informative and entertaining tour of Canterbury. We had a delightful time learning about the city and discovering hidden gems. Sam showed a wealth of knowledge and passion for the city and its history. He was very professional and adhered to Covid guidelines at all times. We would highly recommend Sam as your tour guide!

Sam is a very knowledgeable and personable tour guide. The tour is interesting but also a lot of fun and a very reasonable cost.  My husband and I really enjoyed it - we learned a lot, and saw many things we wouldn't have noticed if we'd been on our own.  Thanks Sam

A unique experience in its own right
Oct 2020
I am sure many visitors, like us, want to know what are the best things to do and best places to see during a short trip to Canterbury. Well, this tour rates right at the top of our list - its a lucky dip of intriguing and fun history suitable to adults and children.
Sam, our guide was a history graduate from the university, so his local knowledge was excellent. He had a friendly and easy going manner so it was like walking round Canterbury with somebody that you'd known for ages. You found out all sorts of interesting things that you won't duplicate with any visits to the other main sites. The walk is easily manageable - I think we took about one and a half hours.
Thanks Sam!

We arrived in Canterbury on Friday 9th Oct and found a ‘flyer‘ for this company in the Tourist Info/ Beaney Centre. We contacted them and a very short notice (3 1/2 hours later), Sam Hurn agreed to take two of us on a tour. From the beginning he was very informative and engaging, as we strolled around the city. Sam clearly new his stuff and had plenty of informative facts and stories and provided a highly enjoyable tour. The trip is very reasonably priced and we very happy to give him a generous and well deserved tip!

Brilliant tour
We had a tour with Sam and thoroughly enjoyed it. Particularly good value at the moment as he usually only takes one family together due to covid, so my husband and I had a tour all to ourselves.

Sam is a very knowledgable guide and knows everything about Canterbury and he showed us lots of things we would never have found on our own. He told us lots of interesting facts too, which my “nerd” of a husband really enjoyed.

We would definitely recommend this trip as an interesting way to learn about the lovely city and Sam is a great guide.
