      Enjoyable walking tour
Enjoyed this informative walking tour of Bowness discovering new places and stories. Nicely presented and interesting. Didn’t know there was so much to Bowness!

      Excellent tour!
Martin is an excellent guide for our group of friends. He was very informative, knowledgeable and interesting. We found out lots of interesting facts about the area especially the history of Ambleside. Would recommend.

Keswick self guided tour by car.
The commentary was very clear and easy to understand. We never got lost on the route which for us is a real plus!! The route took us to many beautiful places and there were many opportunities to get out and walk. We actually did the tour over 2 days and were easily able to pick up where we left off the previous day.

      A great introduction to Ambleside
This was a brilliant tour, a great introduction to Ambleside with helpful suggestions of where you might like to spend more time. Well paced with interesting information about some of the town’s influential residents.

Great way to find things you may miss
Great way to help you around the are. I love the Lake District and his helped you find little gems to may otherwise miss. The guide was clear throughout and the history behind some of the places really made it come alive. If you are thinking of visiting Bowness this is a great way to structure a walk around the town.

      Waste of time!
I have done these self guided tours before and I like them because we are a little more free to do the walk when we want to, usually working round the weather. The previous ones I’ve done have been loads of fun and we have all usually enjoyed them. Unfortunately this one was total rubbish. It was like a pub crawl, just sending us to pubs and roads near pubs.. my 9 year old doesn’t fancy beers thank you. I know the Lakes well and I could have written a better tour. Avoid!!

Great way to tour in your time
Great way to tour around without having to stick to defined timeframe. This was particularly suitable for me with young kids. The voice guide spoke of interesting stories and history about the different landmarks around lake Windermere. It's a self guided tour that takes you the complete circuit around the lake. Had the flexibility to skip parts for the tour and move onto bits that you want to see.

      Worth the investment
Very informative and educational too. Tells a good story about the history of the area. Took us to places we otherwise wouldn’t have visited. Had one minor glitch when it didn’t keep up but other than that it’s very good.

      DIY tour!
Great for planning your own guided tour and a pace to suit your individual itinerary. Very informative local knowledge with routes and minor roads that we wouldn't normally go along. Well worth the price and plenty of great scenery along the way. We enjoyed Aira Force Waterfall and trail. Useful information on places to stop and park. Only thing to improve would be the map navigation and location indicator as at times seemed off track but that's more to do with the app and not the guide.

      Flexibility Rules!!
The weather was awful, so it was great that we could pick and chose where we wanted to stop (rain permitting) and what we would keep for later. The tour took us to places with wonderful scenery that otherwise we would not have found. Great app, VoiceMap worked seamlessly, I can highly recommend it. Thanks for all the effort Martin Wilson put into this.

No better value way to make a huge difference to our holiday.
Best £10 I've spent in years. Even with my tired old Android phone I was able to follow the tour easily. We were able to start and stop at our own pace and it took is to some great places we'd never have tripped over without doing a bunch of research. We got just enough background info on each significant spot to make us feel engaged and educated. Some folks might already know a lot of what was said but for us it was just perfect. I plan to be buying both the other voicemap tours for this area and will definitely come back for others as we wander about. If you're a hardcore afficionado of the area, the content might be a bit basic. But we're not and it really wasn't. Having the backstory and context for the beautiful sights and scenery around us was a real bonus. So pleased I tripped over the app. Made for a great day out.

      Easy drive around Windermere area
Bit difficult to work out where we were at first as didn’t start at beginning . Once we were on the map found it easy to stop and start . Interesting tour off the main routes with useful info along the way .

      A voyage of discovery
Really enjoyed this audio tour! Thought we knew Windermere area quite well but turns out there's a lot more to it than we knew. The Lake District scenery was awesome with lots of interesting places and local stories, all well told in the audio. The app is also excellent for finding your way easily. Highly recommended!

      Lovely town
Ambleside is lovely, I imagine it must get very busy in the summer. It wasn’t too busy when we were there in October. Like most Lake District towns, there seems to be a lot of outdoor clothing shops but still a nice place to visit.

      Excellent tour!
This tour was brilliant. It took a little getting used to as the instructions are a little sparse to start with but once you get going it's easy to understand. We went to so many hidden spots we'd never have seen as we aren't local. The sights were stunning, especially the the kirkstone pass Inn and the little layby beside ullswater lake. An amazing day out! We spent 6 hours doing this your as we got out to see everything! I would recommend taking ALOT of change ready for the car parks as there are alot of pay and display car parks on the tour (though you can skip them if you don't want to explore the area). One of the best days of our holiday!! Thanks Martin!!

We were thinking about doing an organised Lake District tour but found this self drive audio tour and were not disappointed. Such a beautiful area around Borrowdale and Buttermere and the tour took us to places we would we would not have found ourselves, telling us all about them and more along the way. We liked that we could set our own pace and would recommend a few stops along the way to break it up a bit, explore attractions and enjoy the scenery more.

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Informative, fun and interesting. It really brings the natural history as well as the industrial past of the area to life. Like having your own personal tour guide in the car with you. An absolute bargain.
