- T8175UXmaggiet0 contributionsThe best tour possible!Chris (guide) and Arthur (driver) were incredible! We had the best time seeing Liverpool and The Beatles special spots. Chris pointed out tons of cool, niche locations and fun tidbits, and Arthur navigated the city wonderfully smooth. It was a great length and we loved it.Written 10 December 2024
- robhS4629IE0 contributionsEnjoyable easy way of seeing the city with the ability of hopping on and off to look closer at any specific sight. It was a cold day and the tour took us to the main sights from the comfort of the bus and would enable anyone with mobility issues to see the sights also.Written 10 December 2024

- katherinemR1181WO0 contributionsHop on hop off city tourWe had a lovely tour made special by Julie and Joe our driver. We learnt loads of information that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. We did indeed hop off at stop 10 and visited the Philharmonic hotel and pub. Popped into the Cathedral and got back on again 2hours later. Smashing trip would recommend.Written 9 December 2024
- buggzee0 contributionsTicket to RideWe loved the Blue Route, so we did we did the Red Route! The tickets could be used for either ie you only had to pay once. Concentrating on the history and architecture of the city, this was a fascinating tour. The information was provided by a pre-recorded commentary. As it was Hop On Hop Off, we broke up our tour by visiting the Metropolitan and the Liverpool Cathedrals. Colin, our driver, was helpful in indicating the appropriate bus stops and times of the buses. Whenever we visit a city, at home or abroad, we go on a bus tour to familiarise ourselves with what the city has to offer and what we want to see, and Liverpool didn't disappoint.Written 9 December 2024
- U1943JTsarahw0 contributionsTour guide Janet ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Janet doing the commentary was the best I’ve ever had ( I’ve done lots of hop on /off ) She was knowledgeable - pointed everything out with stories attached . Was interactive - coming up to the top deck to connect with us up there and even did a song 🎶( very good lol ) and played the Tambourine ! Fantastic . If you’re thinking of taking a tour make sure you get Janet 🏆 😄 !Written 8 December 2024

- paultI9080CC0 contributionsSpoilt our trip to LiverpoolGot off the bus to visit the Cathedral. After our visit we waited nearly an hour for a bus. It was pouring with rain. Phoned the depot and was told an accident was holding the bus up. During our wait 2 yellow tour buses called in at our stop . When the bus finally turned up the driver overshot the stop and said he didn't see us . We're we expected to stand in the pouring rain to flag him down! Both yellow buses stopped despite no one getting on them. Number one bus tour in the world . What a joke. Get the yellow tour buses They run on time.Written 5 December 2024

We booked this tour through groupon, it included the red and blue route, valid for 48 hours from presenting voucher code to vendor. £19.50 for two people. We used the red route on the first day, this was a pre recorded guide, operating every 30 minutes across the city, it was informative and interesting. On the second day we went on the blue route bus tour, which was the Beatles tour, our guide was Damien, he was an excellent guide, he was funny, informative, played various Beatles tunes on his guitar and sang, encouraging customers to sing along. He was clearly an avid Beatles fan, his knowledge of all things Beatles was incredible. There were opportunities to get out of the bus to take photos at Penny Lane, and the entrance to Strawberry Fields. For £19.50,it was amazing value for money. The lady driver was very friendly, and gave us further information about places to visit whilst in Liverpool, thoroughly enjoyed our time on these bus tours.

We booked this tour on the 5th Feb 2020 (including the open top bus tour of Liverpool City). Our live tour guide was Tony and the driver was Ann, so I'll start with Tony. Tony was BRILLIANT and the company are so lucky to have him as a tour guide. His humour, wit and banter were second to none. He was a fountain of knowledge with regard to the buildings and the history of Liverpool. There were two stops along the way (Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields) which allowed time to ask Tony some questions (or to elaborate on something he said on the bus) and he was able to answer everything. It was our first time in Liverpool so we only had a loose plan for our itinerary but Tony helped us solidify the "must do's, the what you can fit in (to a short break) and what we will do the next time we return. Thank you Tony. Now onto Ann. What a driver! I don't know how she navigated her way down so many small streets with overhanging tree branches on some. The journey was smooth and on both stops both Tony and Ann were charming, friendly and willing (and even offered) to take pics for everyone. They were patient and kind. I HIGHLY recommend booking this tour.

We did the two trips, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Our guide on the first one was Beatles fan and singing guide Damien (he was great) although the Beatles tour wasn't on the open top it was still great and my two boys loved it. We stopped a couple of times for photos, one of which was Penny Lane which made for a great family photo.
The second trip was more a historic tour looking at the architecture but was again made fun due to Scouse humour.
My only negative was the fact it would have been £12 cheaper getting a family ticket but this wasn't apparent on the trip advisor website where we booked it... Should have booked direct

Thank you for taking the time to leave your extensive review, it is cheaper to book directly through ourselves, all of our tickets prices have been submitted to TripAdvisor (Viator) who have taken it upon themselves to to charge there customers more than the face value of the tickets, we have tried on many occasions to get them to change this but to no avail, PLEASE BE AWARE IT IS CHEAPER TO BOOK DIRECTLY WITH LIVERPOOL CITY SIGHTS.

Great tour showing us around Liverpool with a slant on Beatles landmarks in particular.
We were pleasantly surprised by the knowledge, wit and entertainment provided by our guide (whose name I didn't catch unfortunately), who sang and played Beatles songs on his guitar throughout, while giving all manner of information and becoming an impromptu photographer for all at the Strawberry Fields and Penny lane sites we stopped at to take in more closely.
Our driver Ian was also very cheery and friendly.
As a Beatles fan, I would highly recommend this 90 minute journey through nostalgia and taken in combination with the Beatles Story museum experience (which was also excellent) represents tremendous value for money.

Liam who sold us the tickets at the stop outside the Iconic Liver Building was very helpful and lots of fun. We did the blue 48hr Beatles story combo tour. our guide was so much fun with so much information about Liverpool and the Beatles, sorry I can't remember his name but it was the 11am bus on Friday 21/8/20 we were able to get off and take pictures of Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and see lots of beautiful buildings Liverpool has a lot. We then went to the Beatles Story based in the Docks which was included in the price very good value, wonderful memorabilia and pictures. Fabulous tour.

Damion was our driver and the time spent on this tour went fast. Guide Damion was full of interesting info and occasionally sang Beatles tunes during the tour, including a wonderful rendition of "Norwegian Wood." Got to see Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane while Damion put into context the meaning of these places to the childhoods of John and Paul. Would recommend this tour to anybody who visits Liverpool, Lots of historical info about the city and its history aside from the Beatles. Nice bonus!

Great value for money, did the 10:30am tour on Thursday 9th Sept before the heavy downpour in the afternoon. Damien the guide was brilliant, spoke very passionately about his city & the Beatles, he kept us all well entertained with his knowledge & even gave us a couple of songs accompanied by his guitar which added a nice touch. We learned a lot about what inspired the lyrics to some of the Lennon & McCartney songs, it all made me feel very emotional, that’s just the way I am, had the same feeling when I was in the Cavern Club the day before, I’ve always been a big fan of the Beatles & this tour was the highlight of our two day trip to Liverpool, would fully recommend this tour.

I booked this tour 24 hours online before the scheduled departure. I was so happy I booked the tour, the departure at 3:30 was full, so I would highly recommend to book and not assume you can just turn up and jump on. The information provided was in depth, the host and the driver were funny, witty and entertaining. You were able to see iconic sights relatable to The Beatles. You were able to get a picture with the iconic “Penny Lane” road sign, and the gates leading to “Strawberry Fields”, John Lennon’s house, Paul McCartney house, I Would highly recommend.

Big Thankyou to the girl at the kiosk for the city bus tours (sorry I didn’t get your name - blonde hair in pony tail wearing red jacket) but I came to you 2 days running as I planned my day for showing 2friends from Kent ( who were visiting 1st time and arriving on cruise ship Anthem of the Seas on 22/10/21)
The girl at the Kiosk was so patient as I dithered over which but tour to book and despite other bus company reps who were working at same kiosk trying to pursuance me to book their tour buses, I admired your confidence and sincerity in assuring me what your tours actually offered. It was thanks to you I booked your tours and not any of the others.
On the day 22/10/21 we purchased 3 Beatles Museum & Beatles City Tours which meant we had time to visit Beatles Tour in Albert Dock immediately prior to boarding the tour bus, so no waiting around. We were lucky to have the front seats upstairs on the tour bus and our tour guide host for the day was Dom (from Manchester) but he knew his stuff about Liverpool and the Beatles and had his passengers singing along throughout the tour as he played various Beatles songs on his guitar. As Liverpool is my home city I was able to add my own knowledge when he asked for it and my friends and I found this way of sightseeing far better and more interactive than being sat on a tour bus, wearing headphones listening to a pre-recorded monotone voice. The tour bus lasts 90 mins and It was entertaining and informative from start to finish. Well done everyone. you were all great ambassadors for Beatles Bus & City Tours. No 1 in fact 👍👏👏👏

My wife and I went to Liverpool from Friday to Tuesday and we did both the city and Beatles bus tours. Tony and Shmoggy make a great team and provided a great service with lots of informative information and banter. We definitely recommend both tours. We booked a combo ticket that included 2 tours and entrance to the Beatles Story. If you buy the combo ticket then you need to book a time slot with the Beatles Story directly. The combo ticket is £25 per person but that covers 2 tours and entrance to the Beatles Story. Please note the price may have changed when you are reading this review. Please check on their official website.

Is there stops near Beatle's homes in order to do guided home tours through National Trust?
Written 10 May 2023
Sadly both Paul's & John's homes are out of bounds in terms of guided tours and, whilst the bus stops right outside of John's (for photos) it isn't allowed to go down the road where Paul lived (footfall is banned too so you can't walk down to it, so you only get to see it from a distance. I'm not aware they are NT properties. Don't let this put you off - it is the best tour you'll ever do, believeme, & the history of Penny Lane is incredible, very interesting & takes you back to their heyday. Don't miss it, do it & enjoy every moment of the 90mins tour.

South entrance to Albert Dock on Gower Street. Near a yellow American bus used as a dinner. There is a wooden hut & a bus shelter at this location. Easy to find as you should see the buses stopping at the bus stop to pick up. Hope this is helpful .. thanks

Hi! For summer 2022 can you hop on, hop off and will all stops resume? Thanks!

No, is the simple answer ... this is a tour with a couple of stops for photos. The city centre bus is on a loop where you CAN hop-off-hop-on.
