    Can't recommend this highly enough
Great tour company with a professional and friendly service. From the first contact I made with LFWT, it was clear that I was in good hands - Rachel was communicative and gave me a list of options to choose from, as well as offering a bespoke tour, which I took up. Our lovely tour guide Jean was then able to give a tailored tour, full of interesting and important info to make this a really memorable experience. Jean's passion for her city was evident and she has a wealth of knowledge of the area. The tour isn't rushed at all, or stuffy, and feels like a friend showing you around. Thank you Jean for a lovely afternoon which we shalln't forget. Will be back for more tours with you soon!

    Fabulous Beatles walking tour
We absolutely LOVED this tour, would highly recommend it to anyone. Simon our tour guide was an absolute delight- full of knowledge and passion about the Beatles and happy to answer all the random questions we had. Felt like a really personal tour and we learned so much about the band and also about Liverpool as a city. Such a great way to start a weekend in the city!

Fantastic tour - engaging and fascinating
My husband and I did a Beatles walking tour with Simon and it was absolutely fantastic! We were the only ones on the tour but Simon still gave the tour with as much passion as if we were a big group. Simon is so passionate about the subject and tells the stories in such an interesting way - he really brought Liverpool to life for us and made us realise the cultural significance of the place and appreciate the legacy of the Beatles. One of the best things was that Simon bought us into a pub where we bumped into a group of people settling down for an afternoon of singing Liverpudlian shanties together - they apparently do it every week. Obviously we went back there after the tour and joined these wonderful people in a singsong for the afternoon. It was magical! All the magic started from the tour though. So glad we booked it and thank you again Simon.

    Walking tour of Liverpool
We were lucky enough to have a personalised tour with Allan. As well as the very informative Beatles history we were educated on the very interesting history of Liverpool. There were many spots we had previously walked past without knowing or noticing the significance - such is the benefit of having a guide! After the tour we were recommended a fantastic pub, the Bridewell which was full of history and more conversation

Loved the whole tour! Our guide Jean was so knowledgeable, I learnt so much about the City. The tour covered both Beatles history and the history of the City itself. Jean told us lots of amusing anecdotes and little known facts. Whilst it is a walking tour there was plenty of rest stops in between each talking points and opportunities to take photos. The whole tour was relaxed and friendly. I would certainly recommend it for old and young alike and for residents of Liverpool as well as the visitors!

I chose this walking tour company, based upon the great reviews that i had read.

I met the tour guide Rob, who was waiting for his guests ahead of the 10.30 start time. I was the first to arrive and was warmly welcomed by Rob.

He was very engaging and friendly, then after a few pleasantries, more guests arrived, he made them all feel equally as welcome as me

Rob explained the route that we were to make very clearly and gave us all a tourist map so we could follow all of the Beatles and Architectural landmarks on the way.

On the route, Rob explained lots and lots of factual history of the Beatles and showing all of the iconic Beatles landmarks and places around the city; he delivered them in such a fun way and had us laughing at the quips that he made.

There were so many opportunities for photos and Rob never rushed anyone.

His vast knowledge of the FabFour is breath-taking, to which he answered any of our questions with ease. He had lots of photographs and props at hand to demonstrate the Beatles connections and their history which brought it all to life.

Along with his brilliant Beatles knowledge, he captivated us with his historical and architectural knowledge

The tour was never dull; he kept us entertained and engaged throughout. He continually lifted our spirits along the route, as the weather was quite poor on the morning of the tour

The time just flew by and in a blink of an eye our tour came to a conclusion on the waterfront at the famous Beatles sculpture.

This was a brilliant tour of the City and I’m so glad that I chose this company and especially having Rob to educate and enlighten to Liverpool and its unique history.

If you’re in the city for a short break, this is the tour to book, you won’t be disappointed

A huge thank you to Rob!!!

We had less than a full day in Liverpool and this guided walking tour turned out to be the ideal way to spend it. Our guide Pam, a native "scouser," was an absolutely wonderful tour guide - friendly, personable, and with an encyclopedic knowledge of the city she grew up in. Since we were the only ones on this particular tour Pam was also able to spend a little more time with us and show us a couple of sights that might not be on a typical city tour. We also learned a lot about the fascinating history of the city going back to the early Middle Ages - there's a lot more to Liverpool than just the Beatles! We would highly recommend this tour to any first-time visitors who are interested in learning about the history, culture, and people of this remarkable city.

Jean was an excellent guide combining detailed and interesting local knowledge illustrated with examples from her family history. The tour itself covered the main landmarks of the city which Jean set within an historical and cultural context. The pace was perfect and Jean was more than happy to answer the many questions put to her en route. I would highly recommend this tour as an essential component of any visit to Liverpool. Our thanks go to Jean who was the perfect tour guide.

So I booked myself on this tour hoping to find out about the history of Liverpool and culture.
I got myself to the meeting place where I met my guide a lovely lady called Pam. Another extremely pleasant couple then joined us and then the tour began.
Pam's knowledge of the city was excellent and extremely informative.
The tour lasted 2 and a half hours and she took us through the city centre explaining about the history of the buildings. She took us to Albert Docks, the town hall, the liver building, Matthew Street informing us about the cultural history.
We had plenty of opportunity to ask questions as well.
I feel like My knowledge of Liverpool has grown so much since the tour.
I would highly recommend

Jean was an absolutely amazing tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and made sure you was able to relate what she was saying to all of the group. Although we did have a few showers throughout the trip we were so engaged that it didn’t matter too much. However, I did cave in and bought a brolly towards the end of the trip.

Highly recommend this tour

Whilst visiting a friend in Liverpool recently, I was treated to an amazing and educational walking tour round parts of the city with Liverpool Famous Walking Tours. Our guide, Jean Mcenvoy proved to be an engaging communicator, fluent, a lexicon of knowledge and an absolute delight with no shortage of humour!
Jean took us on a journey through some of Liverpool's connection with the slave trade, told us about the key characters, their part in the development of the city and their influence on the architecture. Able to answer a barrage of questions with her flawless presentation, Jean explained everything with great clarity. Could of listened to Jean for hours and hours!
Enjoyable and VERY educational from start to finish with the perfect guide enhancing the day! Thank you Liverpool Famous Walking Tours and thank you Jean.

So delighted that we chose this particular company, Liverpool Famous Walking Tours, for our Cultural Heritage Tour of Liverpool, in May 2021! Our tour guide, Jean McEvoy, created a bespoke tour which not only met the brief but exceeded our expectations & delivered an experience of Liverpool’s culture & heritage which had us utterly enthralled! Our guide, Jean, was delightful..not only the epitome of professionalism..organised & prepared but also her exceptional knowledge of Liverpool’s history delivered with such warmth, wit & charm gave us everything we could have possibly wanted. We had a wonderful experience & plan to book another tour this summer with the same company! Thank you so much!!

Jean took us for a wonderful bespoke walking tour through some of Liverpool's most historic streets and buildings. The knowledge that she displayed was astounding. She was able to make it entertaining for the whole family, holding the attention of our 10 year old daughter and 2 year old son. It was so entertaining that we didn't want the tour to end. This is most definitely the tour to be on if you are visiting the city.
