- fjgncc0 contributionsExcellent Experience on DayTrip to Oxford and the CotswaldsWe had a wonderful experience traveling with our guide John on a 16-person trip from London to Oxford and the Cotswalds. While there was much to see, we easily accomplished our personal goals for exploring key places, seeing some beautiful places, and grabbing a bite at one of the many restaurants and cafes along the way. John was personable and regaled us with fascinating history and unexpected details. He was also terrific at keeping us organized and on time and yet attentive to individual needs where we could take our own paths. We didn’t know what exactly to expect but were very pleased with the outcome and would definitely work with Robbie’s again on another excursion.Written 13 January 2025
- Marc M0 contributionsOur driver John was amazing. He was knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. This was a great experience. Would do it again n a heartbeat. Keep in mind there is t much to do in the Cotswolds. It’s a walk around and do pictures type of adventure.Written 13 January 2025
- D169JErobertb0 contributionsGreat day tour with a very engaging and entertaining driverAwesome experience! It actually started while driving through London when the driver (who was also the tour guide) talked about some of the neighborhoods we were traveling through. Speaking of the tour guide, she was very engaging and knowledgeable and kept us all entertained without being annoying. I feel we had everything we needed to make our visits to Oxford and the Cotswolds enjoyable. I definitely recommend this tour.Written 10 January 2025

- anyas9400 contributionsGreat tour, tough driveOur guide was great and loved the locations! So much history, some of the best lunch food I’ve had in England, and really picturesque. Wish we would’ve had a rest stop or some kind of way to break up the trip back as due to traffic it was almost 3 hours in the van with no bathroom and/or quick leg stretch. The long journey plus no wifi on the van made the driving harder than other tours I’ve been on, but wouldn’t stop me from going.Written 31 December 2024
- 236waiyanm0 contributionsGreat experience. Friendly and informative guide.Great experience. Friendly and informative guide. Only wish that we get more time at each stop but time constraint is understandable given the travelling distance.Written 29 December 2024
- ChiaraC0120 contributionsGreat!Great experience. Carl and Emir have been amazing, they explained many things and made jokes. Even though my family couldn’t understand everything, they tried to talk to them. The bus is really comfortable and we’ve been able to visit what we wanted. Thanks again it’s been a great day!Written 23 December 2024

He knew so much about the stops and pointed us in the exact direction to have the perfect experience. The entire day was absolutely full of magical moments from the Cotswolds to Arlington Row to Oxford. Highly recommend this tour with this tourguide!!!!Written 17 December 2024

I’d like to give a shoutout to Amir who was a very knowledgeable and professional tour guide. He explained things that we can’t find in books or tv, we all learnt so much and he had a great British sense of humor. 100% recommend this tour and Amir.Written 15 December 2024

- chayaa670 contributionsExcellentI really enjoyed this trip. The driver/guide was very pleasant and shared a lot from his vast experience. He gave us a lot of free time at each location, as well as a map and recommendations. Considering the cost of train fares, it was very cost effective and relatively easy to coordinateWritten 13 December 2024
- 814sheag0 contributionsBeautiful scenery & villagesThis small-group day tour was the perfect way to experience the timeless beauty of Oxford and the idyllic charm of the Cotswolds. From start to finish, the day was incredibly well-organized, yet never felt rushed, allowing us to savor every moment. Oxford was a dream for history and literature lovers alike. Strolling through its iconic colleges and cobblestone streets felt like stepping back in time. The transition to the Cotswolds was seamless, and the picturesque villages were even more stunning in person than in photos. Each stop had its own character—whether it was honey-colored cottages, quaint tea shops, or peaceful countryside views. The small group size made the experience feel intimate, and we could explore these charming villages without the crowds. If you’re seeking a delightful mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, this tour is an absolute must. It’s a fantastic way to escape London for the day and experience the quintessential English countryside.Written 7 December 2024
- jilldilloncole19280 contributionsBeautiful day wondering the CotwoldsWe got so many beautiful photos in the Cotwolds as well as lots of free time in each place, especially Oxford. There were plenty of recommendations made for local shops and food which was very appreciatedWritten 6 December 2024
- 428ankurp0 contributionsOverall great but the duration in CotswoldsDamien (our guide) was great. He talked through the places on our route and was really a pleasant guy. Although not a feedback for Rabbies because this is true for other tour operators as well, I would personally prefer that we had 15 more minutes to Cotswold villages because 45 minutes feels a bit short if you also consider the time (~5 - 8 minutes) for boarding/deboarding the bus, using loos etc. Overall, I would recommend the tour to anyone short on time.Written 30 November 2024

We took the Rabbie's tour of Devon and Cornwall from London in October. Our expectations were exceeded in all ways, especially thanks to our guide Kate. Her narrative of our journey was filled with history, anecdotes, music and a wonderful sense of relaxation and good humor. She is a skilled driver, navigating narrow roads to treat the group to unparalleled scenery and quaint villages. I think the most memorable day was when we visited Dartmoor. We are already looking for other Rabbie's tours for future travels. The 16-passenger van was perfect, enabling us to get to know the other guests and travel in comfort. I highly, highly recommend this tour.

Would completely recommend this tour to anyone! We never would have been able to see or do everything that we did on this tour if we were trying to plan it ourselves. I loved being on the small bus because we were able to travel down small country roads that a traditional coach tour wouldn't have been able to do.
Our tour guide, John was amazing! He treated us like family and made it a priority to find our our interests and cater to our needs. For example, I love Poldark so he took us to some of the filming locations. He always had recommendations for where to go/eat/ do- he would even call ahead and show us around. He made the tour incredibly enjoyable and fun. He was incredibly entertaining the whole entire time and told stories along the way that made the experience far more than just about beautiful scenery.
Devon and Cornwall is gorgeous and I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for an escape to the sea/country. We saw ponies, beautiful countryside in the Devon Moors, a mixture of towns, cities and quaint villages, historical sights, fishing villages, the most beautiful seaside that I have ever seen in Cornwall. You spend the perfect amount of time in each destination and have the freedom to explore as you please.
My favourite place that we went to was Cornwall and the beautiful seaside towns like St. Ives. The ocean has a gorgeous turquoise tinge that contrasts with the green cliffs and is really one of the remarkable places I have ever been to.
I like how this tour allows for you to pick your own style of accommodation and pick where you eat. There are plenty of options so you can make this trip as personalised to you and your travel needs as you want.
I cannot wait for my next trip with rabbies- they always do such a great job!

I just came back from 5 days tour to Devon and Cornwall with Rabbie’s, with John Gannon. What a blast! There were 8 of us on the trip. We were lucky to have wonderful weather the entire trip. John was a fun character, full of energy. I got an earful of local legends, ghost stories, local food, especially about King Arthur. I guess I should get a movie about King Arthur after such a trip. All customers were repeating customers of Rabbie’s tours as we all had fun from previous trips. All routes and activities were carefully planned. I never realized Devon and Cornwall could be such exciting places to visit. Most of the sites were incredibly wild or beautiful. The trip was rather comfortable. Only a few places such as Boscatle that I wish we had more time. Regarding accommodation it is tricky. Jury’s Inn staff was so cold and not helpful. They won’t clean your room unless you requested when checking in. I did not know this. As now they deliver cold food (no more real breakfast) my room was quickly accumulating garbage. The housekeeping was nowhere to be found. The Grove B&B was a bit run down. But the host was polite and helpful. I slept very well and did not mind old facilities as long as they were kind and helpful. Overall, my eyes were opened due to this wonderful journey. Thank you John! Thank you Rabbie’s team!

I went on the 5-day Devon and Cornwall tour with Rabbie's. Wow!! What an experience. Samuel, our tour guide, deserves nothing less than a standing ovation. He managed the packed itinerary with ease whilst keeping us entertained with historical facts and some funny folklore. He even managed to sneak in a cheeky extra to the Durdle door at our request. I am overwhelmed with the beauty of everything I’ve seen. From Dartmoor (those gorgeous ponies), Minack Theatre, Tintagel Castle, Cornwall, just everything. Also loved the small group and comfortable bus. This was my second Rabbie’s tour and definitely not my last. Thank you Samuel and Rabbies !! Andrea

What a wonderful tour with Rob! From start to finish the trip was enhanced with stories , facts, mystery stops and all done in an unhurried and professional way. I would recommend this tour to anyone as it’s packed with delights and I can’t believe we covered so much in a few days / absolutely brilliant ( and as Group Travel Organizer of the year winner in 2019 I have very high standards ) thanks to Rabbies for the idea of smaller groups as it is so much more fun than a large coach party . Rob you’re a gem of a tour guide

We really enjoyed our 5 day tour of Devon & Cornwall with our tour guide, Christo, departing from London. Christo is polite, patient, knowledgeable, provides a lot of helpful background information and even took the time to create a playlist for each of the locations to help enhance the drive-time and give additional context to each location. We also enjoyed the two B & B's that were arranged by Rabbies- especially the Exeter Townhouse. There was a nice mix of ages and backgrounds on our tour, with plenty of space in the Mercedes touring van. Christo made everyone feel welcome and we all appreciated his knowledge level with a touch of humor! There were several amazing spots that we saw, such as the Minack theatre, area that was the setting for Poldark (Masterpiece series), and Stonehenge.

Small group is best! We only had 11 people and everyone got on with everyone. Big tours tend to be clique-ish. Rob our driver-guide was nice and friendly; it was like traveling with a friend. He gave commentaries, recommended places to eat, and also played music to match the weather (it was rainy in Cornwall). One day, on our way back to Falmouth at the end of the day’s tour, he took a small detour to show us Gwennap Pit, a truly hidden thing and the kind of curiosity that I love to discover. Can I suggest to Rabbies to design a tour for obscure and curious things around England? :) Rob also made sure to come down with me when he dropped me off at my accommodation (I was a solo traveller). Thank you Rob and Rabbies and Get Your Guide, for a memorable trip.

We never got to experience this tour as they cancelled the week we were signed up for one month before our date. We had booked this tour almost 18 months ahead. They gave no reason. Just cancelled it. You would think that the middle of May would not be a date that would be unattended so we think that maybe they had a large group came in and wanted that week and would pay more so they bumped us out. They offered earlier and later week but we had other reservations and airline tickets etc. We had to scramble to fill the week with something. This was so despicable we can hardly find the words. Shame on you Rabbies.

We only ever cancel tours due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances which are out of our control or might jeopardise your safety. If we cancel your tour then we will notify you as soon as possible and we will always refund you, in full. I cannot identify your booking, but I can confirm that Devon and Cornwall tour was recently cancelled due to illness within our team. The scheduled driver-guide was not fit for work and we were unable to find a replacement. Without a driver-guide, the tour cannot operate, so we had no option but to cancel here. I'm sorry this wasn't explained to you at the time and am sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this caused.

When I booked the trip I honestly just wanted to explore Cornwall but in the end it was the group and our guide Russell who made it so special.
There were too many highlights to mention - from Stonehenge to Dartmoor, St Ives to Falmouth. But my favorites were Tintagel Castle and the Minack Theatre. Both places needed a little climbing but it was so worth it. The sun at Tintagel made it seem like we were in a postcard setting (and may I add that lots of the visitors there brought their dogs:-)).
The landscape was exactly how I imagined Cornwall to be like.
We visited quite a view little villages with beautiful churches and even the rain in Dartmoor could not diminish the beautiful experience (it added another level of eeriness to it and reminded me of the atmosphere in the highlands a bit)
Russell gave us time to explore and also helpful tips for what to do. He was really funny and engaging and honest and cared and did a few special stops in between as well.
The group was really lovely, funny and engaging too so it was the perfect fit.
The B&Bs we stayed at in Exeter and Falmouth were really nice and not too far from the center/beach. Oh,the beaches... absolutely impressive in general..
I never toured with a better group plus tour guide and I hope to see them all again in the future. I will definitely book more tours with Rabbie's

What a wonderful tour. Samuel, our tour leader/driver is fantastic. Samuel is super friendly and very likeable. He has a great knowledge of all the places you visit along with immense personal knowledge of the area. It really made a difference to know where you were and the history associated with that place.
Before booking we were going to self drive but changed our mind to take the tour. Something we don't regret one bit. The tour takes you to places you wouldn't normally see if driving on your own plus the advantage of being in the comfort of the mini bus. The accomodation was also ideal for our needs.
We highly recommend this tour will forever have fond memories of the experience.

We did the Rabbies tour and had a wonderful few hours in Port Isaac. We had plenty of time to see Doc Martin's house and other venues used in the series. The harbour was beautiful and walking through the streets was most enjoyable. We had a very tasty lunch and a leisurely walk back to the coach while eating a Cornish ice-cream.

I agree with all the folks above. Contact them directly. We left Victoria station @ 9am on Sat and returned there @ approximately 7pm Wed night. Depends on some weather conditions and road repairs we had to avoid. Our itinerary changed because our tour ended up being only 7 people so we were able to see more spots of interest. Contact Rabbies

I’ve recently heard that the Cornwall Devon your from London by Rabbies doesn’t visit Doc Martins area in Port Isaac
Is this true?
Written 1 May 2019
Our April tour did visit Port Isaac. We had about 2 hr stop there to check out the lovely little town. We could see the Doc's house/surgery - didn't get to see any of the actors but still great. It's a lovely place.

I was wondering if there was a toilet on the Bus ? As we are in our 70's and the old bladder is not what it used to be.
Thanks, Richard
Written 2 May 2018
Correct, no toilet on the bus, but frequent stops. One of our passengers asked if he could stop and he was able to, obviously that would be a bit more problematic on the motorway!
