Very interesting trip, all in one day
Jul 2019
This trip is a great day-trip if you want to see these sites, but don't have many days in London. I bought the tour for my Mom and I, and we had a lovely day. It is a lot of driving, but you get to spend about 2 hours in each place, which is nice and breaks up the driving. The bus is very nice, although it doesn't have a bathroom on it (just so you know). Every part of this trip is interesting and we loved the biscuits with clotted cream and champagne toast in Shakespeare's school house! It was very neat to see where Shakespeare went to school, as well as the town, Stonehenge is incredible, and Bath and the Cotswolds were lovely places to drive through and have lunch. The guide was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this day trip!

Hi Linda2208, Thank you for taking the time to review our tour. We are glad to hear that you and your mother enjoyed the day out which showed you 'England in one day'! Shakespeare's Schoolroom is indeed such a special place and sitting in the classroom where William Shakespeare himself sat and studied is quite an experience. We look forward to seeing you again on one of our tours in the future.

Tour 6 - Great Day
We met Anne-Maree (Guide) & TourGuy (Driver) at 8am. Great introduction, great information.
Comfortable Bus. There was an MV incident on the motorway to Stonehenge, but they managed it perfectly and ensured we didn't miss a beat all day. My girls loved the tour and it was an amazing day! A highly recommended tour us great guide and Driver 👍

Great Experience and Amazing Guide!!
Nov 2019
My wife and I took this tour a few weeks ago and loved it!! Clarissa was an amazing guide and was so knowledgable about the places that we went. She had a great sense of humor as well and was very easy to listen to even for a long day which the tour is. Both Bath and Stratford Upon Avon are cool towns to see. Different, but each with its own European charm and places that you probably wouldn't just happen upon. Stonehenge is just amazing and definitely worth seeing even if only for the pictures!! I would not recommend this tour to families with smaller kids becuase it is a long day and many hours are spent on the bus.

Expensive and Disappointing
Nov 2019 • Solo
Stonehenge was lovely and we had plenty of time there. Because it was raining, everyone was congregating in the exhibition hall and there were so many people visiting at the same time that you couldn't see/read the exhibits. However, folks had a difficult time finding their way back to the coach and we were late leaving here. Our guide repeatedly made statements about how you wouldn't believe how stupid people could be.

Bath is a delightful, picturesque town. However, the time for stopping there was only an hour. We were advised to get something to eat during that hour and that we could not bring food back on the bus with us. The tour guide spent a lot of time suggesting many places, but we didn't have enough time to do anything there but eat. He had talked up the Abbey your and views. Although I went straight to the Abbey, we didn't have enough time to take the tour. Additionally, some folks in our group got lost and after waiting fifteen minutes for them to come back, we left without them. After this, I was really worried about getting lost and being left behind.

Although this tour lists The Cotswalds, we did not stop there. We merely drove through on a back road (even though he told us that there were other routes where you could see nice houses). Unfortunately, as we were driving, it was getting dark, so you couldn't see much. I was disappointed that we did not stop. The guide explained that we wouldn't want to stop there anyway because everything was overpriced and not to his tastes.

Our final destination was Stratford-upon-Avon. However, the guide seemingly didn't like it. He asked if anyone had read Romeo and Juliet and then told us that no one had and that everyone falls asleep on the first page. He made other remarks saying that Shakespeare was complicated and boring. I heartily disagree with that statement as I enjoy Shakespeare, have read it, and understand it. I was also quite frustrated at this point that he was clearly attempting to make jokes at other peoples expense.

While he was rambling about how no one really understands Shakespeare, he mentioned that there was a toilet on the coach. He did not say something like "You will not be able to use a toilet at the school house, so if you need to go, go now." So, when we arrived at the schoolroom people were really upset that after 2.5 hours on the bus they couldn't use the restroom and many people explained that it was unclear that a tourist destination would not have restrooms.

I was absolutely the most excited about this leg of the trip and tried not to let our guide ruin it for me. Unfortunately, it was already dark which made it hard to see the beautiful buildings in the area. The tour in Shakespeare's schoolroom was nice, funny, and informative. You watch a short video and are given a lesson about Shakespeare. You then move to a different room for the sparkling wine and scones. That was delicious, but just a time to mingle.

They had desks where you could try your hand at writing with a quill and ink, but there were only 6 set up this way and many more people on the tour. Unfortunately, the folks who sat down at these six desks didn't budge until they asked us to leave. On top of that, no one was given instructions on how to write with the quill and ink, and the lady in charge of that section got quite annoyed that people were doing it wrong and admonished adults for not knowing inherently what to do.

On our way back to London, most people slept. When our guide woke them up, he pointed out a few thinks in London to see as we drove. He explained that there was a mall and that he hated shopping. Then pointed out many shops and restaurants explaining that they were overpriced and not very good. I can appreciate that on one hand, but what about the good places? As he told us, shopping wasn't his thing, but plenty of people might have liked to shop. I was disappointed in the guide. His attempts at humor and what I hope was sarcasm went over like a lead balloon.

As we approached the heart of London he asked each person where they were headed so that he could make sure that they got off on the right stop. This was a considerate and thoughtful thing to do. However, when I politely said that I know where I am going, he didn't like my answer. He asked me a second time and said that he needed to know where I was getting off. If you pose your question as a helpful thing for tourists, but you do not mean it that way, then just be direct, as you were with everything else.

Unfortunately, I found this tour disappointing. We were on the coach much more than we were stopped and the guide really didn't seem to like his job, dealing with people of different backgrounds, or the destinations that we were visiting.

Amazing day
Oct 2019 • Family
My second time doing this tour and I brought my family along with me. We all had one of the best days of our holiday and it was made complete by our amazing tour guide Gavin who was so friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention his stories that had us laughing the entire day. Thank you so much to Gavin and driver dexter for making our day perfect. Also thank you to premium tours who had our phone returned to us within a day that my little brother left on the bus with irreplaceable photos and memories on it. Recommend %100

Great trip
I really enjoyed this trip as I was able to see a bunch of major attractions in one day. Lucy was the narrator on our trip. She had tons of knowledge and a voice that was easy to understand. She was no nonsense and made great recommendations. The coach was new and modern.

Please be aware that this is a long day (12 hours) with about 7 hours on the coach. I thought it was well worth the money.

Stonehenge Rocks.... So does Gavin!
Oct 2019 • Family
Gavin is an amazing guide. He’s uber-enthusiastic and incredibly fun. Gavin (don’t call him Kevin) sings, recites sonnets, and offers historical exposition regarding everything. It was kinda like a one-man Broadway show. Take the tour! It’s a great way of seeing a lot if you’re relatively limited on time.

Excellent way to see the south of England in a day!
Sep 2019 • Friends
The tour was lovely! There wasn’t quite enough time in Stonehenge- I know it’s a lot of sites to see in one day, but 20 more minutes at Stonehenge would have been great! Bath, the Cotswolds, and Stratford-upon-Avon were also so nice! I would definitely take this tour again!

A day to remember in the English countryside
Sep 2019
My wife and I took a wonderful 12 hour tour of the English countryside, Stonehenge, Bath and Stratford-on Avon. Our tour director, Irish John, was outstanding! He's personable, funny, knowledgeable and simply delightful!. He brought everything to life with background history and interesting storyline. The pacing was a bit hectic at times, however that was a small price to pay for a most memorable experience. I strongly recommend this tour, especially with Irish John.
