    What to Expect
With your pass to the ZSL London Zoo, enjoy access to this world-class site that sees over one million visitors per year. With more than 20 unique habitats and 800 species of animals to view, as well as a schedule of exciting animal-themed activities throughout the day, there’s a fun attraction for every visitor.

Just inside the entrance, you can see acclaimed Gorilla Kingdom exhibit. Observe the gorillas and monkeys eating, playing, and interacting in a lush simulated rain forest. Continue on the Tiger Territory, a recently updated habitat that mimics the natural environment of the Sumatran tiger.

Crossing over into Africa, see giraffes, African hunting dogs, and zebra from the elevated viewing platform. Don’t miss the slow and sinister komodo dragon in its lair or the giant Galapagos tortoise, the giant species hailing from the islands where Darwin researched his theory of evolution. Darwin enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Blackburn Pavilion to hear more about the finches used in the ground-breaking study by Darwin and John Gould.

Whatever route you take, carve out some quality time for Penguin Beach. Home to around 200 Macaroni and Humboldt penguins, this vibrant exhibit includes a pool with underwater viewing areas and a demonstration area to view live feedings.

London zoo has always been on our list every summer and this summer we finally made it happen! My boyfriend and I explored the zoo and got to see so many different animals. Our personal favourites were; the lemurs, the meerkats and the penguins. We were just in time to see a

Went to London zoo today and I’m not going to lie, I left feeling depressed. The animals looked bare sad and stressed, making weird noises they wouldn’t usually make if they were in the wild. Pizza at the restaurant was nice though, but we were accompanied by some pigeons, which

Was extremely disappointed. Such a huge zoo so had high expectations. To get there and the majority of the captivity was empty with no animals in sight. Waste of money. Found ourselfs walking around the whole compound for ages and not seeing any animals. Avoid. Been to many

It is many years since I last visited London Zoo. I found it quite sad to see the small amount of space allowed for the different species and really wonder whether there is now enough space to allow the larger species to have the enclosures they need.
