Anna and Mentor took us on such an amazing journey today! Finding the meeting point was a little tough. I did find someone in the station with an Evan Evan’s tour jacket on and was able to ask them where to go. Having to meet across from Gate 1 was written on our ticket, but I wish it had been bigger and more visible. Anna collected us and got us on the bus ASAP. Next thing we knew, we were on our way. Anna was upfront about giving everyone some tips for where to purchase snacks. She provided interesting and fun facts at certain points during the trip. She is well versed in making sure everyone can hear her and that we’re getting a bang for our bucks. I do love that parts of the tours are self guided. It allows folks to split off and prioritize how they would like. I was bummed I couldn’t get the WiFi to work during the first part of the trip. I loved this tour, as did the three other people in my group. My brother enjoys history and he enjoyed Anna’s questions. I would absolutely recommend this day trip! And do pack a lunch, snacks, and a water for the ride!

Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath tour was amazing!!
What a great day today! We went on the bus tour to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath. Incredibly beautiful, surreal and just amazing. Was a long day, but we endured with the guidance of our awesome guide Kevin, and were very well taken care of by our driver Greg. They made a great team! Greg was so well informed and shared so much knowledge with us! He was so knowledgeable and had a funny sense of humor, too. Was very direct and made good all around plans with us on where to meet back up after our tour time. Made us very comfortable. And he was fluent in Japanese! Very impressive. Thanks for a great and unforgettable time!

    Excellent Experience
It’s the first time for our family to come to London and the first time to book a local tour trip to explore the places outside London. These locations within the tour are all what we really want to visit for years. Without taking the tour it will be impossible to put together into a one day schedule. We had a great experience to go with this tour. Our guide , Anna, is very knowledgeable. She provided so much valuable background information on Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford University, as well as some interesting stories along the way our driver, Mentor, is super nice and helpful too. It’s a fantastic trip. Everything is organized very nice. We have such a great experience and highly recommend this tour to anyone else who has the similar situation like us.

Quite pleasant for a bus tour
It was a good tour! Especially liked Windsor and Stonehenge. Oxford was just okay - nothing against this particular tour company, but there is just not much to see there. Felt a bit rushed at Stonehenge given the expanse.

    Truly fantastic day!
We had a fantastic day. The tour was three stops. A medieval market town, a village and then Blenheim Palace with plenty of time to enjoy them all. Megan our guide was wonderful and provided amazing insight into the area and was very clear with her instructions. We really had a fantastic day!

Our driver was Sam and our guide Cameron and both were so wonderful and friendly.

Sam drove really well and even would slow down at certain moments to facilitate taking photos from the bus. Cameron had really interesting bits of information and I LOVED all of his commentary, funny and informative.

I can’t recommend the tour enough, especially the Bath and Stonehenge one because the other with Windsor felt too crammed and this way we could really enjoy the Roman Baths Museum and the city of Bath.

The tickets for entry into the Roman Bath is worth it in my opinion, so if you’re hesitating don’t 😉

This was truly one of the greatest tour days I’ve ever been on! Regarding our tour guide and bus driver, Greg drove very smoothly and kindly made sure to take us on the most scenic routes as well as did his best to get us to our destinations early to have more time there. Our guide, Angela, was very knowledgeable not only about the locations we visited (in this case Bath and Stonehenge) but also the surrounding areas we traveled through. Angela is clearly passionate about her work and the history of England as she always had a great deal of information to share but never sounded like she was reading from a tour book. She was also familiar enough with the route to let us know in advance if we were coming up on any impressive sights and buildings worth taking pictures of.
I would recommend Evan Evans tours to anyone who wants to feel like they’ve had a satisfying time learning about the area they’re visiting but also had the freedom to explore around on their own for an hour or two. The two location tours are really well timed that you aren’t in a rush to get to the next destination and can take your time to have a scenic walk or grab a meal in a historic pub.
This was truly the best day of my trip and the company that I would trust to make it happen again!

Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we’re delighted to have played a part in making your trip memorable. Had a wonderful time on this tour of Stonehenge and Bath with tour guide Big Ben and driver Marlin. Big Ben had many fun stories that made the time on the bus pass by quickly and Marlin was a wonderful driver who managed the challenging London traffic with ease. We had an hour at Stonehenge to take pictures and shop but ran out of time to grab food at the cafe. Recommend taking snacks. We debated adding the Roman Baths but so glad we did- it was well worth it and a highlight of the trip to Bath. We had about 3 hours in Bath which included about an hour we spent at the Roman Baths. We went to a local pub for lunch but it took longer than expected to get our food so recommend “grab and go” style eatery vs a sit down. There was free wifi on the bus along with ports to charge our phones which were very helpful. While it was about a 12 hour day, it went by quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We were also glad we didn’t add another site e.g. Windsor Castle because it was not rushed with two sites. One area of improvement would be the checkin process at Victoria Coach Station. The Evan Evans Tour staff at the gate provided different checkin times which was confusing and some of the staff appeared to be impatient with customers when they didn’t understand where to go. Recommend being there early and asking several staff members to verify checkin information. Otherwise a great day and would highly recommend the tour! Thanks Big Ben and Marlin!

Stonehenge and Bath are both amazing sites to see but I wish my family and I had more time.I personally am not a fan of large group tours because of time constraints and this tour was no exception. Our guide was very, very adamant about being back on time which already made the tour a stressor. Then when my family and I were back, albeit a few of them running a min late, we were chided like children. That set the mood for the rest of the day…

Our guide was very knowledgeable but very quick on his feet (literally). Our driver was terrible - heavy on the brakes (not to mention unnecessary breaking), jerking, etc. a few in my family were getting motion sickness so thank goodness for the bathroom on the bus. We were even considering taking the train back to London, which would have been faster (~2 hr vs. ~3 hr)

Overall, the experience was ok.
If you can venture to Stonehenge and/or Bath on your own or if you can afford a private group tour, do it. If it were just me and my husband I would have done just that. Evan’s Evan’s is a reputable company and this tour experience may have been great for everyone else, but not for me. The time constraints, chiding, driving just put a damper on our day.

Nonetheless, we tried to enjoy the day as best as possible because it was at least gorgeous!

I had an amazing tour to Stonehenge and Bath, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience! The absolute highlight of the trip was our guide, Mel. From the start, Mel demonstrated a deep knowledge and contagious passion for the history and culture of the places we visited.

At Stonehenge, Mel provided us with fascinating information about the construction and significance of the monument, making the visit even more enriching. In Bath, his detailed explanation of the Roman history and the city's architecture was simply captivating.

Besides being extremely informative, Mel was also very attentive and fun, ensuring that everyone in the group felt included and entertained. His ability to answer questions and share interesting facts made all the difference.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring these historical landmarks, and if you are lucky enough to have Mel as your guide, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience!

Cameron and our driver Sitar did very well. After we set out, the coach had some problems with the AC which Sitar pulled over to try and resolve as those of us in the back half of the bus were positively melting.

Cameron kept us all in excellent humors about it and that’s why this is still a 4-star review instead of less.

Really my problem was with the bus itself. Besides the aforementioned heat issue, the seatbelt angle dug into my hip so there was no comfortable position to sit without getting a bruise or slouching down and hurting my back. I’m a fairly petite person with wide hips that fit just fine in airplanes and cars, so I can’t imagine those with stockier builds finding this seating comfortable. Days later the bruise is still there.

Of course I’m sure the company has other coaches.

Cameron did a great job mixing humor and information. Fun facts, dad jokes/puns, and just the right balance of independence (“here’s your ticket; be back by this time for our departure”) and care for the group (“we all made it back on the bus! That doesn’t happen every time, good job!”). Even our brief walking tour in Bath, Cameron was great at navigating crowds and negotiating our timed entry to the Roman Baths (we ran a little late due to traffic and pulling over to fix the AC).

I don’t usually choose 50+ person tours but it seemed like the best way to see Stonehenge without renting a car (and the smaller groups were sold out when we looked). All told, I would be more open to trying a big tour like this in the future if we had a guide like Cameron (and driver like Sitar!).

Dear 851kristinl Thank you for your detailed feedback and for acknowledging Cameron and Sitar's efforts during your tour. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the AC issue on the coach and the discomfort you experienced with the seating. Your comments about the bus conditions are important to us, and we understand how crucial comfort is during a tour. We will definitely take your feedback into consideration to ensure improvements are made where necessary. It's wonderful to hear that despite these challenges, Cameron managed to keep the atmosphere positive and enjoyable with his humor, informative commentary, and excellent management of the tour logistics. We're glad he made your experience worthwhile with his blend of fun facts and care for the group's well-being. We appreciate your understanding and patience regarding the circumstances and are grateful for your recommendation based on the quality of our guide and driver. Should you decide to join us again in the future, we'll strive to provide you with an even better experience. Thank you once again for sharing your thoughts with us. Best wishes Evan Evans Team

I chose this tour because I wanted a London day trip and Stonehenge seemed to be the most popular. Evan Evans had the best reviews. Also excited about Bath (once I learned of it) because our trip also contained visits to Roman baths in Tunisia.
Our coach was large, full with 52 passengers. Seats were comfortable, bus was clean and mostly functional (we suffered a brief AC outage which was rectified in a 5 minute stop thanks to our talented driver Sitar)
Our guide Cameron was very helpful; he gave us a funny and informative spiel on the way to Stonehenge which included the history and typical info that you'd want to know before going in. He also gave us directions around the center and a clear timeline. One thing I wish he had done was to recommend we get a to-go lunch at the visitor center, which we did anyway after we figured out that lunch was not included with our tour.
On our way between, Cameron pointed out many sites in the countryside and gave several humorous etymology lessons of common sayings that apparently come from English history.
Our second stop was in Bath, and the Roman Baths museum here proved far more interesting than the stones. The dioramas and projections gave a great picture of the look of the original building, the activities of the Roman people, and their lives and history. It took us a bit longer than was suggested, but we still had time to grab a pint at one of the food/drink recommendations from the guide.
On our way home, Cameron again pointed out interesting sites on the route, and gave us many recommendations for food, drink, and entertainment of various forms in the city.
Very helpful and would definitely recommend if you have a spare day in London.

Dear M3338VQanthonyp, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent tour with Evan Evans. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your day trip to Stonehenge and Bath with us. It's wonderful to know that Cameron, our guide, provided you with informative commentary and made your journey enjoyable with his humor and insights into English history. We appreciate your suggestion regarding recommending a to-go lunch at the visitor center, and we will certainly consider this for future tours to enhance our guests' experience. We're glad to hear that you found the Roman Baths museum in Bath fascinating and that you had the opportunity to explore the city and enjoy some local recommendations. Your feedback about the coach and the brief AC issue is also noted, and we're glad our driver, Sitar, resolved it quickly for your comfort. Thank you once again for choosing Evan Evans Tours. This tour was a wonderful experience! I already forgot our tour guide name but he said he was the only guide who actually did a dig at stonehenge and he was very knowledgeable of all the historical details which was great to learn. he even pop in a dvd for us to watch on Stonehenge which was great! we really enjoyed going to Stonehenge, we even had time to tour the museum afterwards. the roman baths was ok, if you are not into history, I recommend skipping going in to explore it. you have time to explore the town of bath, which was fun. we tried the ice cream which was yummy! the day we went, was Jane Austen fair going on so we got to see many people dress up! overall, this was a great tour and I recommend it! each places we stopped at had the proper time to explore, not to fast and not to slow.

recommendation for future participants: there is a really really long line for the coach bus that takes you from Stonehenge back to culture center. so I recommend factoring that time waiting for the coach (its a 5 mins drive) in your time so you are not late for the tour bus departure. or worst case, you can walk back.

ps. my recommendation to the tour, please be very specific on which bus gate to meet you at. On our stub, it said meet at bus stop 1-5. however, our bus tour was at bus stop 0 and we were nearly late because there were no updates on the proper bus stop to meet at. that was my biggest frustration of this tour. this is why I am giving the rating I am.

Unfortunately, we cannot comment on this tour, tour guide or driver. Because of construction traffic we were 5 minutes late for a full day tour and found that the bus had already left the station! We were told by tour office staff that we could not reschedule to the next day, and we could not receive a partial refund! Despite the many positive reviews about the tour guides and drivers, the people who actually run the company have little regard for their customers except where their pocketbooks are concerned. Would recommend avoiding this disreputable tour company at all costs!!!

Headout is the tour booking site I used for Stonehenge w transfers from London. The tour was handled by EvanEvansTours. The tour company is terrible. The customer service at 258 Vauxhall Bridge Rd London is non existent. The front person can not even be bothered to welcome customers. The tour bus was a large coach but had no tech (wifi or usb ports for charging or restroom. There was no communication from the tour company rep that lead us to bus except “follow” and no communication from bus driver either..didn’t even tell us the return to London meet up time. Once back to London the driver parked so far from curb and near a huge puddle that an elderly man fell on to sidewalk after rolling over . The bus driver closed the door and repositioned bus but did not check or assist elder. The tour office was closed/unattended upon return so no restroom on bus or when back at office. Book directly so you won’t get EvanEvansTours. They are trash 🗑️.
