We lucked out with perfect weather and a had a lovely tour of Leeds Castle and the grounds, a nice stop at Dover with lovely views of the cliffs and Dover Castle. We even got an extra quick stop for photos closer to Dover Castle. The walking tour of Canterbury and Canterbury Cathedral was wonderful with lots of history to place everything in context.Written 19 March 2025

- rkmay00 contributionsNice day tripEvan Evans is a nice tour company, and our guide was very kind and knowledgeable. They were easy to find in Victoria Coach Station, and the day was right on schedule as planned. I only gave this 3 stars not because of the experience but because of my lack of research at the beginning. Leeds Castle is beautiful on the outside, but the interior is all 1920s (from the last person who owned it), which was disappointing as I was expecting something much older. Canterbury (both the village and cathedral) was fantastic (make sure you get the package that includes the entrance to the cathedral). I was disappointed with Dover, as we really only saw the cliffs from a distance and they were obstructed by lots of buildings etc, so it really was a good picture opportunity. I wish had gone to Dover Castle.Written 19 March 2025

- sez1980au0 contributionsDo the Inner Circle you won't regret! Stonehenge & Windsor. An amazing day thanks to Evans Evans tours for their Inner Circle of Stonehenge and Windsor Castle tour from London. Our guides was Robert and our driver was Prab. Robert was informative and easy to listen to as he gave information throughout the day. By doing just the two stops for the day, you get ample time at each location and nothing about the day felt rushed. We had around 3.5 hours at Windsor, which was plenty of time for us to see what we wanted to see at Windsor Castle as well as have lunch and a wander through a few streets of Windsor shopping and looking around. It was then off to Stonehenge! We had plenty of time to look around the exhibit & neolithic village, and stop in the gift shop before being taken up to the stones on the shuttle bus as a group. Everyone was given time at the beginning to get photos of it empty with no one in the circle or background before we were allowed into the centre for about 40 mins. Well worth the money!!Written 17 March 2025
- Jeff B0 contributionsMust do Stonehenge and Windsor tour!My wife and I are not usually a fan of group tours, but this one is an Absolute ‘must-do’ if you want to see Windsor Castle and experience Stonehenge. Robert was an excellent historian and great storyteller. Prab was a great driver getting us everywhere safely. Doing just the 2 tours gave us plenty of time to explore each place and I did not feel rushed at all!! It’s totally worth the time and money!! 😃Written 17 March 2025

Our recent tour with Evan Evans Tours to Windsor Castle grounds, St. George’s Chapel, Stonehenge, and the Roman Baths in Bath was overall a good experience. Maria, our tour guide, was fantastic! She was an excellent communicator, incredibly knowledgeable, and kept the tour engaging with her incredible personality.
The tour itself was well-organized, but as we traveled during the high season (December winter break), we faced some delays, especially with entry to Windsor Castle due to the high volume of visitors and shorter winter operating hours. If you plan to visit the UK in the winter, be prepared for potential delays, as these can impact your schedule. We recommend considering a visit to Stonehenge and Windsor in the spring or early summer to avoid such challenges and get the most out of these iconic sites.
Bath, however, was a standout. The charming town truly deserves more time to explore. Maria mentioned that you could spend a week in Bath and never run out of things to do, and we completely agree. Unfortunately, the tour’s packed itinerary left us wishing for at least a day or two to fully experience Bath’s beauty and history.
If we were to do this tour again, we would likely choose fewer activities in one day to avoid feeling rushed and spending so much time driving. For Windsor specifically, taking the train from London (just about an hour) and exploring at our own pace would be a great alternative.
A special highlight of our tour was witnessing the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Windsor Castle. It was a delightful surprise that added a special touch to our visit, especially since parts of the castle were closed for the holidays. Again, visiting in the summer might provide a more complete experience.
Customer service with Evan Evans was excellent—accommodating and responsive to our needs. A quick note for group tours: it’s important to keep the same seat on the bus to avoid inconveniencing others and to practice general courtesy.
Overall, we had a great time on the tour, and Maria truly made it memorable. With a few adjustments for season and itinerary, this could be a perfect experience!

Dear guest,
Thank you for sharing your thoughtful and detailed feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with us and that Maria helped make the experience memorable with her knowledge and engaging personality. She truly is an asset to our team, and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her.
We appreciate your insights regarding the seasonal challenges and time constraints during your visit. December can indeed be a busy time, and your tips about considering spring or early summer for a more relaxed experience are very helpful for future travelers. Windsor, Stonehenge, and Oxford it is a taster tour it allows you to see three of the UK top attractions but due to distances covered, time at each location is limited.
We do also offer tours that visit fewer venues and allow for a more leisurely visit (for example our tour to Stonehenge & Bath and Stonehenge & Windsor). Should you wish to travel with us again in the future we would be more than happy to recommend some of them to you.
Thank you again and we send you our very best wishes,
Evan Evans Team

Wonderful experience! Starting at Victoria Coach Station, we connected with Godfrey and he explained what the itinerary was. Bus is air conditioned and comfortable seats with usb ports to charge your phone. Bus windows are large and clean to see the English countryside along the way. Stopped at Windsor Castle first. Amazing! Better than I hoped for. Next stop, Stonehenge. Being that today is a Bank Holiday, the queue was extremely long so we only were able to experience the view of the stones for less than 5 minutes. Onto Bath, a quaint English town. My significant other and I ran a little late and Godfrey and Marek waited for us otherwise we would have been stranded. I’d recommend this tour and hopefully you have Godfrey as your guide since he has a cheeky sense of humor and pleasant to talk to

We toured with Evan Evans group. I was initially hesitant to join such a large tour (about 50 people), but it was an affordable option to see all the sights we had on our list. I do not regret the choice at all! Eileen was a wonderful (and hilarious) tour guide and our driver Lucas was great as well. She peppered us with just the right amount of fun info on the bus. When you get off the bus, you are connected via some audio guides, but the range isn't great - it was hard to hear at some points. These sites are well marked though - just follow the crowds and you'll get to where you need to be. The bus was also clean and comfortable.
Arrive early if you haven't been to Victoria Coach station before - it is a little confusing and very crowded. Our instructions said gates 1 - 5 - the sign points one way for gates 0 - 1 and another for 2 - 10. Go to gate 1, show them your confirm, and they will direct you to which gate to go to for your specific tour.
We visited Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath. It is a jam packed, rushed day. But that is really the only way to see all the sites at once. Stonehenge had the perfect amount of time if you take the shuttle out to the stones (there is a path to walk out there as well, but there really isn't time for that on this tour). Windsor Castle and Bath are a bit rushed; however, Bath is over 2 hours away from London - if you want to see all three sites in one day it is going to be rushed. The Roman Bath Museum was definitely oversold - it was so crowded we ended up just rushing through it and enjoying the town for an hour instead.
They warn you plenty of times - but they will leave you if you are not back at the bus on time at any one of the stops!
There are bathrooms available at each stop. Windsor and Bath have decent food options to grab a sandwich or snack for the next piece of the bus ride. If you want to maximize your time at each site, pack snacks/lunch ahead of time and not worry about stopping to buy food. Bath does have some great pubs, cafes, and ice cream shops if you need an end of day pick-me-up.

I have visited London three times in my life and I am pretty sure we have used this touring agency for local tours the other two times as well (as they tend to be the most affordable). The previous two tours, one was in 1985 and another was in 1998 had a set lunch time and place, and didn't feel half as rushed, but I was much younger back then.
This is not recommended for older people or anyone with mobility problems.
We had to sprint through each tour site, we waited on line to get into Windsor Castle and then had to run through it as if we were on a marathon. At each location the tour guide (I think his name was Pepe) gave us vague instructions as to how to get back to bus. In Windsor we thought we knew where the train station parking lot was, but ultimately we had to ask directions otherwise we would have missed the bus.
We ran around Stonehenge as well, I had to use the facilities at the visitor center, and again their parking lot signage isn't too clear, one direction is the car park for passenger cars and in another is the one for buses. I started to walk to passenger car parking lot and realized I was in the wrong place and had run to the bus lot, and then I realized my family hadn't arrived there yet. I realized they must have made the same mistake I made. They arrived back in the bus just in time, and I was afraid I was going to have to ask the tour guide to use his phone to contact them as it was getting close to departure time (as apparently we were on a very tight schedule) but they showed up just in the nick of time.
We had a little more time in Bath, in order to tour the Ancient Roman Baths and then find a very quick bite to eat. We were dropped off in this parking circle called Bug Park. To the left but out of sight of the Bug Park parking circle is another almost identical unnamed parking circle. I asked a local is this Bug Park and he said kind of uncertainly said, "yeah I think so." It was not Bug Park, but we figured it out when we saw other tour group members heading over to the other circle.
The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, but made sure to know that we were under the gun. He said that if the tour extended beyond a certain time the bus driver would have to leave us and we would have to wait to be picked up by another bus. The bus drivers union must be a lot better these days. What happens if there is very bad traffic?
As the tour guide said, the intention of this tour was just to sample these three sites in order to encourage you to come back to the locations and spend more time there on a future trip. If you really want to see any of these sights, I suggest you just do that in the first place.
Overall it was an OK tour, one of my family members said it was his favorite part of our whole trip to England. If you are traveling with older or disabled family members, you should probably avoid going on a tour like this one. Also I am not very good with directions, it would have been great if the tour guide was out with banner somewhere where we could see him at set time, so we would know that we were in the right place to get back on the bus.

Dear guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We appreciate your perspective, especially as a returning guest, and we’re glad to hear that this tour was a memorable part of your family’s trip, even if it didn’t fully meet your expectations.
We’re sorry to hear that the pace and logistical challenges took away from what should have been a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. Our tours are designed to fit as much as possible into a single day, which can sometimes result in tight schedules, especially at popular sites like Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath. Windsor, Stonehenge, and Bath it is a taster tour it allows you to see three of the UK top attractions but due to distances covered, time at each location is limited. We do also offer tours that visit fewer venues and allow for a more leisurely visit (for example our tour to Stonehenge & Bath and Stonehenge & Windsor). Should you wish to travel with us again in the future we would be more than happy to recommend some of them to you.
Thank you again and we send you our very best wishes, Evan Evans Team

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour to get a taste of 3 different must see places in England. James was amazing! He had a wonderful enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner, and is so personable. Things went very smoothly as he carefully explained rules and tips to keep everything moving efficiently. We appreciated his historical commentary and the use of sound boxes and earphones so everyone could hear him and he could talk at a normal volume. Jody was also a kind and amazing bus driver and the 2 of them were a perfect team. In order to cover the distance and see all 3 places you get just about 1 1/2 hours at each place. But, as James pointed out you can see each place and decide to come back for longer another time. Westminster and Bath are both accessible with public transportation but Stonehenge would require private transportation. The amount of time given in Stonehenge was more than enough to take it in so no return trip would be needed.
*A few things to note: I’d recommend bringing your own cold food like sandwiches and snacks as you do not have much time to get any on the trip except for the cafe in Stonehenge (2nd stop) and no hot food is allowed on bus for safety and “lingering smell” reasons. You can also get drinks and food at the other two stops but it’s more efficient to eat brought food on the bus to maximize sightseeing.
Also there is a toilet on the bus if needed.

We appreciate your helpful tips for future travelers as well! It’s always great to have insights on how to make the most of the time spent on the tour and at each location. We’re glad to hear that the time spent at Stonehenge was just right, and your suggestion to bring snacks for the journey is very practical.
We hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future for more memorable experiences!
Best regards,
The Evan Evans Team

Our tour guide, Manon, was amazing! She did a great job keeping a large group on a timely schedule and had great recommendations at each and every stop along the way. There is little time for food on this trip - I would recommend bringing a packed lunch for the day. Note: They do not allow hot drinks or food on the buses so don't bring your morning coffee for the day to sip as you ride!

Dear jenniferrU1240NQ,
Thank you for your great feedback! We’re so happy to hear that Manon made your tour enjoyable with her excellent timing and helpful recommendations. Your tip about bringing a packed lunch is spot on—there’s not much time for food during the day, and we always want to ensure guests are prepared. We also appreciate the note about food and drinks on the bus, as it’s always good to know the guidelines in advance. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon!

The sites were incredible to see and the tour was amazing overall but don’t expect a guided tour - you will be left on your own and to find your way back to the bus at each attraction. The tour guide didn’t ever check that we were all with her before going into an attraction and basically just told us to “meet her at the bus in an hour and a half” and find our way back on our own. Our guide left a lady behind at Windsor Castle for being 9 minutes late for the bus even though she was probably lost.
This tour should specify that hot food/drinks aren’t allowed on the bus (especially for the winter months) and that you have literally ZERO time at each stop or on the road to get food (unless you count a cold pasty that’s been sitting out all day for £8 “lunch”). The places that did sell food were either all sold out, old, or overpriced. I’d recommend bringing some snacks/lunch and water.
Our guide, Sandra, was nice and knowledgeable about the villages we drove through but overall she provided very little guidance (especially since none of our audio guide boxes worked).
If you just want a drive to/from and entry to these amazing sites then this tour is for you but don’t expect much more

Dear MJP3013,
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the incredible sites, but we’re truly sorry to hear that certain aspects of the tour didn’t meet your expectations. It’s important to us that every guest feels supported throughout their experience, so we understand your frustration with the lack of guidance, particularly when it comes to ensuring everyone is accounted for and helping with directions. We’ll definitely review this with our team to ensure that future tours are more organized in terms of communication and support.
We also appreciate your feedback about the food and drinks policy. It’s something we will take into consideration, especially for colder months, and we’ll make sure to provide clearer information ahead of time so everyone can plan accordingly. We recommend bringing snacks and water, as you mentioned, and we’ll work on improving the options available during stops as well.
Lastly, we apologize for the issues with the audio guides. We’ll ensure this is addressed so that future guests have a smoother experience with the information provided.
Thank you again for your insights, and we hope you’ll consider us again in the future with a more tailored and improved experience.

The tour guide Andy was fine. However, my husband and I booked a tour for about 20 people and paid extra for it as we wanted a smaller tour. Before the tour, we received a message that there was trouble issuing tickets. Then, a few days before, we were issued tickets. We did not think much of it until we got ready to board the bus. Turns out, the tour operator put us on a tour with over 50 people - which is NOT what we wanted. This 50 person tour was less expensive than the 20 person tour we booked. The tour operator seemed to think I would not notice the difference, but I did. They did not offer us a refund for the difference between what we paid and what the tour they put us on (which was almost $150 difference). When I reached out to Trip Advisor, with my concern, they refused to help me. Evan Evans is a shady operator and I HIGHLY recommend you book through another tour company (there are several that offer this tour). DO NOT TAKE TOURS through Evan Evans.
Also, the initial boarding of the bus was confusing and chaotic. We waited for a bit despite that we had to be there early. There was no time for lunch - which was not great because people were hungry and did not have time to eat and adequately see the sites. The bus is tight - which was not great for my tall husband (thus the reason we booked the smaller tour).

Dear Nicole,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear, that the tour didn't meet your expectations. When booking through a third party, they are in charge of your booking.
Please send us an email at reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk for further assistance.
Kindest regards,
Evan Evans Team

Richard was a fantastic tour guide
Very friendly and informative
Was able to guide us through each stop without any issues
Took us through countryside and pointed out key points of interest
Would highly recommend
Luca bus driver was excellent
Wish we had more time at Windsor Castle but otherwise no issues. Some negative reviews about time and being left behind, don’t listen to any of them-it is more than clear where the bus is and when you have to be back on. If you can’t figure it out you shouldn’t go on a group tour. Also regarding food in the bus, it’s only for hot food in case the bus stops quickly to prevent burns
Excellent full day trip

Windsor Castle was stunning and Stonehenge was fascinating. We were less excited about the Roman bath tours. Perhaps we were over-informed and tired by this stop. First, our guide, Maria, did an excellent job bringing so much history to life with her entertaining and informative stories. Our driver did a great job getting us safely to each destination in spite of crazy traffic challenges. But the reason for my average stars is to encourage the tour managers to provide enough advance information to make this very long trip far more comfortable and enjoyable. First, the bus leaves at 8AM. For those of us who like or need a morning cup of coffee or tea it was beyond disappointing to learn that we were not allowed to take hot drinks onto the bus. We would have had our drinks earlier had we known. Also there was no instruction that we needed to check in with a tour operator upon arriving at Victoria station. We were only told to look for our buses in bays 1-5. Many of us found the bus signs at Bays 2 and 3 and waited in line only to discover we needed to search out an agent (who was out of sight around the corner and never walked over or announced anything to us) to get wrist bands before we could get on the bus. By that time our bus was almost full and several couples could not sit together. Also this was a 12hour trip and it wasn’t until we got along our tour that we learned we would not have time to stop and eat but could pick up cold sandwiches and cold drinks at the limited shops near our stops to bring onto the bus. Had we known this we would have packed some snacks and more water for the long journeys between stops.

Dear Scenic04251906294,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
It is indeed a long day however in order to see 3 of the UK best tourist attractions (Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and the Roman Baths) you have to drive over 200 miles which is quite a distance! We do have a range of tours that allow for a more leisurely pace such as our tour to Stonehenge and Bath Tour or our Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds Tour. If you would like to travel with us again and need more information on specific tours then please do get in touch with us as we would be happy to help.
Thank you again for traveling with us,

I would like to know if we have time to get in the water while we are in bath. I have been talking with friends and they say that when visiting all 3 places they were a bit rushed while at bath

Hi, We are planning to visit London in Dec. With this day tour to Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge, would it be already dark when we get to Stonehenge as the last stop of the tour? I guess it gets dark early in winter there.
Written 21 September 2024
Stonehenge was our second stop, arriving close to 1 pm. We got to Bath at 3:30. We didn’t stop to eat anywhere and highly recommend bringing snacks and drinks for the bus ride. If you stop at any of the restaurants you lose time to tour.
Daylight shouldn’t be a problem, even in December.

Yes babies are allowed not sure if they have to pay . You must check with the tour company before to book.

Is it possible to bring luggage and end the tour in Bath?
Written 5 August 2024
The order of stops depends on the season and how busy/ crowded it is. However, the bus can accommodate some luggage and you can choose to leave the tour at Bath. They are extremely strict with 'leave times ' and will not wait for stragglers. If you missed your bus, your luggage would still be on that bus

Hello, I want to visit Windsor Castle, Bath, and Stonehenge. I am not clear about pricing and admissions, i.e., does each place require a ticket for admissions? Also, can someone tell me what the approximate cost is to visit all 3 areas including snacks, lunch, tour buses, etc. Thank you.
Written 30 July 2024
Are these places open for tour on Dec 26th?
Written 22 December 2023
Stonehenge and Windsor Castle are listed as open on the 26th. Bath is a town. Individual stores in the town may be closed due to the Boxing Day holiday. The Baths themselves are closed.
Written 24 December 2023
We were left behind too (and missed Bath altogether) - but, we had only ourselves to blame. Just know they are strict about departure times. If you are late to announced departures time, you very well may be left to figure out a return on your own.

Aproveite!
