Great Tour! Highly recommended!
Sep 2021
We had a day trip with Paul the driver and Shiela the amazing tour guide. they took us to the lovely leeds castle in a shiny day which was absolutely breath taking, then from there to Dover, for a short photo shoot of the cliffs and finally- a couple of hours in canterburry where Shiela took us inside the cathedral, and after that- some free time to go around.
Shiela was highly informative and told us great story about the history and background of every site- made the tour very pleasant and interesting!
Only thing i would improve, is more time in Dover, or at least- a closer look at the cliffs- other than that- perfect!

We had a blast with our tour. Shiela was very knowledgeable and told wonderful stories all along the route. Paul the driver did a great job and as a bus driver myself he squeezed thru some spots that I would never even try lol.

We loved this tour! Sheila was the absolute best. She was informative and took time explaining all the history for this tour. Sheila went above and beyond to make this tour memorable. She had many fun stories that tied into our trip. We would recommend this tour with no hesitation. We’ve been on many tours and we think this was one of the best. Do not let Sheila retire, she made this trip!

Fantastic fun on a Segway tour.
Oct 2020 • Couples
This Segway tour was so much fun. My first experience and I felt in safe hands. Great training and attention to safety with fun and informative staff. Beautiful location allows you views of the castle that would require a lot of walking to get to. The segways are easy to get the hang of and any nerves quickly disappear. Loved it and would definitely book again.

Fantastic day out!
Feb 2020 • Solo
Norma was a terrific guide on our day trip to 3 beautiful areas of England, taking the time to give us a personalised tour of Canterbury Cathedral. It was obvious that she has great knowledge of the history and culture of England, specifically Canterbury, and you could tell she enjoys doing what she does.
Our driver Steve was great fun and went out of his way to show us great views of the Cliffs of Dover despite it being a misty day. The two of them made a great team. I will definitely be touring with Evan Evans in future trips to London, and highly recommend them to others.

Great to fill a morning to early afternoon
Went on a tour today with Mark as our driver and Kevin as the tour guide. The tour in itself was pretty good. Kevin knew a lot of interesting facts about each place, so it was entertaining throughout the entire time. The architecture inside the Canterbury Cathedral is impeccable! My favorite is the crypt inside! I would say there was a slight faux pas on the description of the trip vs what you receive because you don’t get a private tour of Leeds castle because there were already other people there when we arrived.

Very nice trip despite poor weather and heavy traffic. Guide Norma was very knowledgeable and informative and deftly adapted the tour schedule to compensate for unexpected motorway delay. Driver Paul provided an amazingly smooth ride throughout. We would enthusiastically recommend this tour.

Underwhelming
Jan 2020 • Solo
I found this tour deeply disappointing. My primary motivation for booking this tour was a chance to view the White Cliffs. The other stops would be bonuses for me. Not only are you not able to go atop the cliffs, you can only view them from the beach at a great distance. I feel the description in the tour itinerary is greatly misleading. In addition whilst the castle and cathedral are interesting, the tours themselves are bland and the cathedral is currently covered in scaffolding both in and outside, so a lot of it’s luster is lacking. I understand the scaffolding/construction on a centuries old building is not the tour company’s fault, but our guide seemed aware of this when we arrived and I feel there is a professional obligation to let the customer know the building is not as pictured on the website. I feel the price of this tour does not reflect the wow factor at all, I regret +++ booking this tour.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a us a review. We greatly appreciate your feedback and take everything on-board. We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with certain aspects of the tour. The visit to Dover is a short photo stop. On regards to the Cathedral being under construction these buildings are hundreds of years old and need to be restored for everyone to enjoy and to be maintained,we understand your frustration, however this is beyond our control. If you find yourself in London again we would like to host you on another Evan Evans tour in the future. Kind regards, Evan Evans Team
