A very special experience
Mar 2020 • Family
We toured the inner circle of Stonehenge with Andy Jackson. A truly magical experience. Worth every penny to be able to go into the inner circle of the stones. Andy is very knowledgeable and has fascinating stories. Would highly recommend.

Great trip!
Had a wonderful trip! The inner circle access to Stonehenge is definitely worth the premium and was the highlight of the experience. You are allowed in before the site is open to the public (so no big crowds) and you get to see the stones up close. Our tour guide, Oliver, is laid back and knowledgable and made the experience very pleasant. Thank you!!!

Sunrise Inner Circle Stonehenge, Oxford and Windsor - great experience
Mar 2020 • Family
This tour starts early in the morning but is definitely worth it. Our guide Oliver is one of the best guides I’ve ever met. He knows many stories and shows all interesting places. Our driver Mark is an excellent driver. We saw real Stonehenge from inside, walked through wonderful cites of Oxford and Windsor. Really great trip if you do not have much time to spend in England. Highly recommended.

A must! Definitely worth it!
Feb 2020 • Family
Wonderful experience! Definitely worth getting up early! Oliver was a fantastic guide with tons of information and experience. Jay was a great driver too. Please be aware! The bus leaves on time and the subway, for the most part, is closed at 5 am. You must get a taxi or Uber to catch the bus in the morning. Do not rely on public transportation. You will miss the tour! You can do Windsor Castle/ St. George’s Chapel in an hour, it is better if you the have London Pass. If you are going in the summer, it may be a different story.

Amazing
Incredibly special opportunity to be amongst the stones of Stonehenge before the crowds. Definitely worth the extra money. Andy Jackson was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. I particularly liked the story of Henry VIII in front of Windsor Castle. Steve our jolly drive was an excellent. The ride was super smooth and comfortable and we felt very welcome each time we returned to the bus. The pair were very organised and communicated the plans and meeting times and locations really well. Thanks guys.

Poor communication
Dec 2019
I actually responded with the below, verbatim, a week ago when the company reached out for feedback. They didn't bother to respond, so might as well share:

The “Stonehenge Experience” is, understandably, not a cheap tour. I booked believing it would be worth it but do not at all feel that I received my money’s worth. We received tickets telling us to arrive at the meeting place at 5. We made arrangements to do so, were there early, yet the tour did not leave until 5:25. We later discovered that some members of the tour received tickets asking them to be at the meeting point at 5:15. That is poor communication on the part of your company.

The unnecessary comfort break prior to our arrival at Stonehenge absolutely should have been skipped to make up time, especially since, due to some members of the tour not making it back to the bus on time, we left there later than expected as well.

All of this poor communication and planning led to us arriving at Stonehenge, the tour’s highlight, late. Once we arrived, the issues did not stop. We had been told we’d be split up into two groups, but that didn’t happen. That’s fine, except it was not at all clear at what point we would get the guided tour part ... the tour guide just walked off with a small group of participants with no explanations. I ended up just asking questions of one of the guides who works at Stonehenge.

I would not book with or recommend your company in future, as every single one of these issues were the fault of your company’s poor communication and time management. Your clients deserve better.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We truly value your feedback. We are sorry to hear you're disappointed by certain aspects of the tour. The meeting time is indeed at 5 and every effort is made to ensure the coach leaves as scheduled;however some times certain aspects of the departure are beyond our control. I would like to invite you to send an email to reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk with your booking reference and the date you traveled so we can investigate this matter further and speak with the guide who conducted your tour,it seems to be a failure in communication in some aspect. We look forward to hearing from you. We would like to host you again on another Evan Evans tour in the future. Kind regards, Evan Evans Team

Inner Circle ..... YESSS!!!
Dec 2019
This tour is SOOOO worth it. Being able to be in the inner circle of the stones during sunrise was something I will never forget. Pure magic!! Our Evans tour guide was Oliver and he was wonderful!! Our driver was great as well. At the stones.... pray you get a lady named Carol as your guide there...she is AMAZING!!! The walking tour of Oxford was really beautiful as well. I would love to have had one more hour at Windsor Castle.... but that's ok. This is a FANTASTIC tour!!!

Worth Waking Up Early!
Dec 2019 • Couples
My husband and I went back and forth about whether or not it would be worth it to wake up so early during our vacation to take the Sunrise Special Access Tour. It absolutely was and this tour ended up being the highlight of our trip to England! If you’re going to see Stonehenge, you have to take the Special Access Tour. The tour allowed us to walk within the inner circle of Stonehenge before it was open for normal business hours. If you choose to come during normal business hours without a special access tour, you will be confined to a roped-off line that is several yards from the actual site (something that would not have been worth the drive from London, in my opinion).
In addition to taking us to Stonehenge, our day also included quick stops at Oxford and Windsor. Our tour guide, Oliver, was very informative and personable. My husband and I were also thoroughly impressed with our driver, George. I have no idea how he maneuvered that giant coach around some of those tiny streets, but he did so confidently and safely.
