Having rubbed shoulders with many of London’s ex-gangsters to prepare for his role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Vas Blackwood has countless tales to tell, and you’ll hear the best as you walk from site to site. Learn about ‘The Guv’nor,’ Lenny McLean, a gangster-turned-good guy who started his criminal resume as a bareknuckle fighter before going on to act in popular UK TV programs, like Eastenders and The Bill. You'll also hear tales of Barbara Windsor – a much-loved London actress who married one of the Krays' feared associates Ronnie Knight -- as well as discovering the dastardly doings of Brown Bread Fred, a chap nicknamed after the cockney rhyming slang in which ‘brown bread’ means 'dead' in reference to the murders he committed. See the pub used as Samoan Jo’s in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, as well as Hatchet Harry’s office, where ‘Porn King’ Harry Lonsdale worked in the film.

Great time on the Paddington tour
We did the Paddington walking tour with Ben, who was a great guide! Definitely recommend it if you are a fan of the movies, whether you are a child or adult :) It was also nice that the main spots we visited (Paddington station, Little Venice, and Portobello Road Market) were all things I was interested in seeing outside of Paddington too, so for a first-time visitor to London, it helped me check some things off my list!

Very engaging for young kids and adults
Nice walking tour of Paddington bear with Ben who engaged us properly by relating the movie scenes with several locations throughout the tour. The children and us were able to relate the tour well with the Paddington books and movie. Ben was also very good at answering questions. We also had opportunities to take photos. Will definitely recommend.

Thank you to the amazing Fiona for a great tour and walk around London. The weather came out for us and we were lucky to do weekday tour where there was increased access to some of the locations around temple. Fiona was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaged with all the group.

A must for any Bond fan if in London
With 60 years of film history and the colourful life of author Ian Fleming there is a plenty to learn on this tour. Happily, our guide Konstantin was obviously a Bond enthusiast, so able to share some amazing facts and familiar locations confidently and clearly. I don’t think I missed anything. The tour itself is well paced and showed me nooks and crannies even I didn’t know despite living here over 20 years. You also get a chance to hop on a London bus for a couple of stops if you’ve not tried that - contactless or Oyster card are needed but knowing TFL there is no way Brit Tours can do this for you sorry. The National Gallery and the Horse Guards Parade are the standout visually but each stop has something new. Finishes very near the Tate Britain which is handy for a visit once done as that is mostly free to look around and has facilities.

      Magical tour!
We took part in the "Wizards London Bus Tour of Harry Potter Film Locations". The tour was really interesting, to discover the locations of the saga of the famous wizard. Benny was a fantastic guide, very attentive to the needs of all participants and brilliant in overcoming a small initial obstacle that was completely unexpected and not dependent on the organization of the tour. We visited the locations of the film both on foot and by bus but we were also provided with interesting more general historical and cultural notes on the city of London. I will definitely consider taking another tour with this agency during my next visit to London

Vas was fun, friendly, knowledgeable & welcoming. He made an effort to include & interact with everyone, keep us together & ensure safety near the roads. The tour was interesting, humorous at times & enlightening. It gave us a great perspective & understanding of the Krays & living in London at that time.

There is swearing on the tour, it didn’t bother us but it could offend others if they’re unaware.
Also drinks in the Blind Beggar were over priced.

We’re so pleased that we made the excellent choice to join Vas Blackwood yesterday (27/1/24) on his Gangster Tour of East London. We arrived at The Blind Beggar Pub at 12:30 and Vas kept us all unofficially entertained over a drink or 3 for over an hour with his non stop chatter & gags involving everyone entering the pub whether they were in his party or not! His suitcase was open on the table and it was like he was in Lennox Gilbey character flogging his hooky goods in Peckham market alongside Del Boy! The official tour set off at 2pm and Vas was straight into his Rory Breaker character from Lock Stock as he talked about the gangland history of the local area. Vas uses quite a few 4 letter words during his tour, but they’re completely in context, part of the characters that he’s portraying and also very funny. Everyone in the group of 40 loved it! Vas took us on a leisurely walk around East London and we saw a lot of the main sites associated with The Krays & some of the filming locations from Lock Stock. Vas was informative, knowledgeable, very funny & a really great guy! I was amazed at how many members of the public stopped him to hug him or shout “I’ve seen you on TV!” “Alright Lennox” or “Rory!” We and everyone in our party had a great time & we’d thoroughly recommend this tour!!!

Vas is just great, you get to see some of the East End, and he is a great character. He tells you all about The Krays and shows you some locations but also you could just follow him around anywhere and he is great to listen to

The tour was absolutely quality! Vas infuses history with entertainment, transporting you through the city’s shadowy past!

His anecdotes, delivered with the finesse of a seasoned actor, inject humor into the tales of the Krays making history come alive in a way that’s both engaging and amusing. Vas’s theatrical flair and magnetic personality captivated the group, drawing us into London’s gritty criminal underworld.

With each step along the tour, Vas’s storytelling prowess unveils hidden stories of legendary crime bosses, painting a vivid picture of London’s darker side. His seamless blend of wit and historical insight ensures an unforgettable experience, leaving you both enlightened and thoroughly entertained.

Vas Blackwood’s Gangster Tour isn’t just a walk through history; it’s as much theatrical experience that intertwines laughter, and education, offering a glimpse into the captivating world of East London’s gangland past.

Spent the afternoon on the gangster tour with Vas Blackwood. I went with my wife and grown up kids, and we had a large group that were all lovely people.
Vas is obviously well know from tv and films and proved to be every bit the star that he is. Very funny, humble, engaging and captivating.
Learnt loads, laughed more and loved every second. Will definitely go again and highly recommended.

Took the tour on Saturday 23rd September. Vas was a quality host and very full on throughout. Plenty of walking. A lot of talking and overview mainly of the Krays twins and their empire around the local area. Saw various haunts and famous landmarks from their time in the area. Vas was a great host and very full of character. Funny, witty, great with words and quick on his feet. Lived up to the reputation. Won’t be for the faint hearted but definitely lacks a punch I appreciated. Thanks Vaz.
