Overview

The Queen’s official London home, Buckingham Palace ranks among England’s most famous landmarks—yet it’s only open to the public two months each year. With this tour, you’ll secure your audio-guided visit to the palace’s State Rooms during the often-sold-out summer opening. A guided stroll through St. James's Park and front-row views of the Changing of the Guard (your guide knows the best spots along the Mall to watch the ceremony) also included.

What to Expect
Meet your guide at a central London location before strolling through St. James’s Park—one of the capital’s eight Royal Parks—to get to Buckingham Palace.

You’ll experience the palace at its liveliest with the Changing of the Guard, a traditional ceremony that sees guards wearing red jackets and bearskin hats on the march, accompanied by a military band. Or, on days when the ceremony isn’t held, learn about Buckingham Palace’s history and intrigue on a walking tour.

Next, guaranteed admission means you’ll have the rare chance to enter Buckingham Palace, which is only open to the public two months each year (and which always sells out). Plug in your audio guide and see the palace’s sumptuous State Rooms—used today for royal events—up close. Your tour concludes at the palace gates.

Excellent!

For the changing of the guard, arrive 30 mins before to get a good spot. Ask the police on where to best stand if you want to move about because some areas are blocked off once the procession starts. I really enjoyed my experience -...More

I don’t think it is wheelchair accessible. They make you leave strollers at the entrance and there are a lot of stairs. It is well worth the walk!!
