Choose a convenient evening start time and meet your guide near Trafalgar Square for a 1-hour journey through the city’s gruesome history. Board the ghost bus – a 1960s Routemaster with its own dark history – grab a seat in the shadowy lower or upper deck, and peek out the window as your coach winds through the sinister streets of the capital city.

With such a long and bloody history, many of London’s most esteemed landmarks – such as Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral and London Bridge – come with a side of infamy and mystery. Pass the Tower of London, where many tyrants (and the occasional innocent) met their death by ax, and Westminster Abbey to learn about the ancient royal tombs that were discovered there.

As you ride, hear chilling tales of London’s most prolific hauntings, deadliest diseases and most depraved characters. Keep your wits as your guide recounts the Whitehall Mystery, a grisly murder case from the 19th century where neither the victim nor the killer were ever identified. Hear chilling tales of the black dog of Newgate Prison and of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber (and butcher!) of Fleet Street. End with a stop at the Cross Bones Graveyard, a pauper burial ground that became ‘overcharged with dead’ before being closed in 1853.

Your tour returns to the departure point with plenty of time to grab food or drink to warm your chilled soul!

Amazing ghost tour and I captured an orb

This was an exciting, informative ghost tour. I believe it was at Crossbones, and the tour guide said people sometimes catch orb on their cameras. I started taking pictures and I could see one visibly flying in my camera, I had my friend confirm and...More

Ticket crisis! So, before the tour even started I had emailed the company about two weeks in advance as I had a voucher for 2-4-1 with my rail tickets. I wanted to pre book as it was part of a surprise anniversary trip I had...More

Tour well executed but dubious ground staff

The tour itself was well executed, with an informative entertaining guide. Interesting insights into London’s darker history, with a dash of British humour. Unfortunately, it started out on a bad note, as we had booked and paid in advance via TripAdvisor for the 7:30pm tour...More

Very funny and just a little spooky

My teenage daughter was a little frightened to go on this tour but it turned out to be lots of fun for both of us. We took it while it was still light outside (summer evening). Better to take the tour in the dark...

Really enjoyed going on this informative trip this past Saturday. It was filled with interesting facts and the theatrical mishaps kept you as a passenger on your toes. Really enjoyed the information relayed and the crowd had great interaction too. Definitely would recommend this Tour...More
