My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed two tours with the amazing Lucy and Nohl . Fantastic guides with great knowledge and humour made the long days fun and enjoyable despite the terrible weather . Our first days in London could not have been better ! Highly recommend The English Bus Company for a great day trip!

We had Cara as a tour guide and she was absolutely lovely. She knew so much about the history of the places that we went to and personalised the experience for all of us. Doing a tour in a small group was so lovely as we were able to get to know the other tour guests and we were able to take our time and enjoy the tour. Cara took great care of all of us and her bubbly personality was a big reason why we all enjoyed this tour so much. We would definitely book with this tour company again in the future.

We booked this tour looking for something more than we would find on a standard tour bus… and we got it! Taking a smaller van allowed us to see so much more than we would have in a larger tour bus. By far the highlight of our vacation. Andy was a terrific guide who was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. All of the stops were enjoyable and we had plenty of time at each one to see/do everything we wanted. We will be sure to book with the English Bus again on our next trip!

This was a good tour of several beautiful and historic locations that we have always wanted to see. Candidly though, Cara, our tour guide, was the star of this show. Her genuine and deep love of both her job and history made this one of our most enjoyable day trips. Her walking tour of Oxford was really fun. I realize you can’t control who guides your tour, but I would still ask for Cara. Thanks girl, you were a blast!

I took the English Bus Tour from London to Stonehenge for the Winter Solstice. Because it was about a two-hour drive, pickup times were early. About halfway through the trip, we made a short stop along the highway for refreshments. Cara and Jon, our guides, were enthusiastic and good-natured and enjoyed their jobs. They had background knowledge of various places along the way, including much of the architectural history in London, and they fielded some off-beat questions. We arrived in plenty of time to “get to the stones’ before sunrise, with some history of the area provided along the way. Flashlights were provided when we arrived. Snacks and bottled water, and another coffee stop on the return trip were provided. Well worth the experience.

Lilly was our tour guide for a family trip of 10 to the Cotswalds and Bath. She was absolutely wonderful! Her sing song voice and quick wit made the trip even more enjoyable! She was full of fun and lots of knowledge about London and of course the Cotswolds and Bath! I highly recommend her and the English Bus company for a wonderfully fun and informative time! Also, the bus, Winston, was very spacious and well equipped.

FUN, Fantastic, and an all-around great small group tour. When I initially booked this tour, there was a mix-up with the dates, but after contacting this agency, they were wicked nice and accommodating adjusting the tour to the correct date. Not a lot of other tour agencies would adapt. I am glad they did because our tour guide (Cara Withers) made everyone feel like family when we met up with them. She was very knowledgeable, and cheerful, and never made us feel rushed. We did the Canterbury, Dover Castle, White Cliffs, and Villages tours. With each stop, we had multiple options, the tour guide ensured all questions/concerns were addressed before getting off the bus. The bus was nice, cozy, and not claustrophobic like a big tour bus. I love the fact that the "tiny bus" could go places that a tour bus would not be able to go. I believe you will not go wrong booking with this group. I am SOOOO HAPPY I found them. My wife, son and I traveled with Jon (guide) to Stonehenge, Bath and Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. We had a great day. The bus tour was a perfect size, comfortable and clean. Jon gave interesting and humorous commentary along the drive to each location. We had time to explore on our own, have a snack at Stonehenge and lunch in Bath. Jon provided bottled water on the bus. The English Bus customer service folks were great. They responded to emails very quickly and accommodated a change to our booking to include our son who was visiting us from Amsterdam. We highly recommend this tour company, small yet efficient, engaging commentary without being overly chatty. A great value.

We had the absolutely the best day today with Lucy! The trip to Stone henge was just the start.. Avebury and the other sites we visited were incredible. Her knowledge, laughter, discussions were fantastic. Words can't express the experience we had and are recommending to everyone we know about The English Bus and Lucy. All the Best, Will and Yvonne

Super informative and fun, Jon was our guide and he was fantastic. I think the guides are the main reason to go on a tour if you already have a car, and he definitely didn’t disappoint. Would 100% recommend it! And definitely go on the walking tour in Canterbury!

Great way to see/visit/learn about areas outside of London. Along the drive, the history of each location was explained and it was very interesting. The Dover Cliffs and Canterbury were amazing places. Highly recommend this day trip with this company!

This is an excellent tour that really gives you a profound understanding not only of the unique landscape of Wiltshire and its prehistoric sites but also of the evolving proto-British culture. Lucy is a brilliant guide and makes sure everything is running smoothly and is a rich mine of information. A truly evocative and inspiring experience that I cannot recommend enough.

Excellent tour. Our guide, Lucy Crane, was awesome ! Her archeology degree allowed her to give much more background than someone without such experience.
