    Excellent
It was a very exciting experience. Our tour guide Angie is very well Informed about the changing of the guards ceremony and other important and fun facts about the monuments on the tour and kept it very interesting. I would recommend it to people who are interested in viewing the changing of the guard ceremony.

A good way to see the ceremony
Our tour guide Bex (not sure if I spelled that right) walked us to different spots before and during the ceremony so we got to see different parts of it from multiple locations. Before it started she also gave us some commentary and pointed out landmarks we walked past. Having never attended the changing of the guard before, I was afraid I wouldn't be in the right places at the right times. This was a good way to make sure we didn't miss anything, and all for a relatively small amount of money.

Guide Lauren Put the Fun In Fun London Tours Buckingham Palace Changing of The Guards Tour
To see Changing of The Guards, Buckingham Palace, we chose Fun London Tours because we found out it was an award winning walking tour. We had a great experience as we learned a lot while having fun. On 5 January 2024. We were instructed to meet the tour at Piccadilly Circus statue by Criterion Theatre to embark upon our Buckingham Palace Changing of the Guard walking tour. A few guides show up at the tour’s meeting point and divide people up in small groups for each guide to take you on the walking tour. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to move quickly especially when you get near St. James Palace where the Changing of the Guard Actually Starts! We were fortunate enough to end up in upbeat, fun, peppy, kind, very knowledgeable Tour Guide Lauren’s group. Lauren was very considerate towards everyone in her group since we were going to move quickly. She made sure the Mom with a toddler in a stroller in our group was always upfront with her so they had a pleasant experience and not get trampled. Lauren was full of great information about each historical statue, private club, and British history all along the way. Lauren pointed out little details like how you can tell which Regiment of the 5 Foot Guards (Greenadier, Coldstream, Scott or Irish) are present just by looking at the plumes on their fur hats! The best part was she knew EXACTLY where to take us at just the right time to get a front row view of everything along the way which made for great picture taking memories and not being stuck in a crowd in one place. Lauren even had us marching along with the Guards as they made their way down The Mall all the way to Buckingham Palace! From Buckingham Gates she took us around to the other side of the Palace so we could see the relived Guards marching back to Saint James Palace for their rest shift! Lauren was even quick enough to point out we had a special VIP marching back that day: Irish Wolf Hound Turlough Moor the Mascot of the Irish Guards! Something most people do not get to see because they are not aware of the whole procedure and miss it because they are stuck in a crowd by the Palace Gates or Palace Fountain! You could either rush to Buckingham Gates in hopes to see a little something or live the experience like a true Brit! I highly recommend the latter.

Fabulous, the highlight of our trip!
This was the highlight of our 3 day trip. And we did the trip well! This even beat a champagne flight on the London eye! Rachel was fantastic as our tour guide. She was so fun and hugely intelligent. I don’t know where she stores all that information! We learnt so much, and had fun doing it. The tour started and ended perfectly on time. Rachel had her timings perfect so that we saw as much as possible. Absolutely no chance we’d have seen, or learnt as much if we’d done it alone. The best money that was spent on our trip, and I will definitely book another trip on our next trip to London. If you’re in any doubt - book it!

    Perfect for Everyone
You won’t regret this tour! Our guide, Alex, was so informed and made it a great tour with his wealth of knowledge. He knew exactly where and when we should be at each spot for the best view. Loved his stories about the “Royals”. Also, before giving us info, he would wait until all of our group was gathered around so none of us would miss anything. Best tour we took in London.

My husband and I went on this fantastic Hidden London Walking tour. Our guide was absolutely brilliant, so much knowledge and stories about a part of London we have always missed out, told with humour and obvious love of the subject. We enjoyed it tremendously and would recommend this tour to anyone who loves delving into the history of London.

Did this tour today with Rachel, from start to finish it was fascinating. The route goes into really old parts of London that have remarkably few tourists. The guide was great at pointing out things that we would otherwise have missed, and all credit to Fun London Tours for coming up with an experience that reveals so many hidden gems in the space of 90 minutes.

We loved the "Hidden London" walking tour with Rachel as our tour guide! Rachel was fascinating to listen to - she talked about the locations and shared information in such interesting ways! We had someone come up to us in the middle of the tour and ask for her card because he enjoyed overhearing her so much! She moved at a great pace, and was very engaging. 10/10 recommend!

This tour was great! Our guide was fabulous, We got the true information about historical sites, which we would have missed without this tour. The shuttered rail station, the Roman bath that really wasn't one, and how lawyers are in control of their own city, is just a few of the informative facts of the tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and Rachel was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide.

We learnt so much and saw so many parts of London that we would not otherwise have seen. It has made us want to explore some of these areas more on future visits. On our walk through the city back to Liverpool Street the day after we were more alert to the bits of history so obviously visible but so easily not seen as you walk past.

I particularly enjoyed seeing the Middle and Inner Temple Inns of Law (they appear in historical fiction books I've read so it was amazing to see where these books were set).

I would highly recommend this tour, and thank Rachel for an entertaining and informative hour and a half.

Our guide was Matt, who was very friendly and informative. And also took the time to talk to us individually as we went along the tour. It was good to see the not-so typical London sights but would 100% recommend for anyone to see.

Thanks for lovely review Abi! As there were only six people on the tour it was really great to have a chat with you all as we went around. Nice to point out a few Harry Potter film locations to you as well! Hope you both have had a great stay in London.

These tours are not the standard "on my left you will see" kind of tour. They are much more enjoyable and informative.
An intelligent and informed guide walks you round places you may not have noticed and fills you in on interesting and informative titbits of information that are missing from many of the usual guide books.
I did 2 different tours, each with a different guide and they were both great.
Suitable for locals and visitors alike.
5 stars, easily.

Matt was our excellent guide on this surprising & fun walking tour of Hidden London.
My girlfriend & I thought we’d give it a try & we weren’t disappointed. Will definitely do it again.
Matt was so informative a wealth of knowledge but I don’t want to give you details. It might spoil it for you
The group was very mixed a couple of ex taxi drivers an ex military couple all sorts from all over. About 15-20 of us
It was fun & surprising that we hadn’t realised what secrets were all around us in the middle of London.

Great review, thanks Heather. You definitely were a fun group, some very knowledgeable people and your rendition of 'oranges and lemons' was second to none! It's always great when the group gets on so well together, and it was wonderful for us after the last 18 months to have a tour at maximum capacity. Hope to see you again on another walk in the future.
