He knew a great deal about British history and recounted his stories in an energetic and humorous manner. Our driver, Marlon, was excellent and skilfully managed the small British roads. At the end of the tour Mel made sure that each person on the bus knew where they were going to get back to their hotel. Highly recommended!Written 9 December 2024

It was easy to find the meeting spots, and the trip went smoothly. Marlow did a great job navigating the narrow roads. The trip to Stonehenge and Bath was fascinating. - Y7691OYchristinec0 contributionsGreat Experience Of Stonehenge and BathGreat tour! Our guide Mel was outstanding and made the day fly by. There’s a bit of travel time but Mel’s wit and interesting info had the time pass in no time. I appreciated the amount of time chosen for each site. Stonehenge is cool but not much to see after the monument so I was really glad for the extra time in Bath. The city of Bath was great! And the time given allowed me to see the Roman Baths, Abbey, eat lunch and shop at a few shops. Definitely recommend this tour. Thanks Mel and driver Marlon!Written 9 December 2024

The absolute highlight of the trip was our guide, Mel. From the start, Mel demonstrated a deep knowledge and contagious passion for the history and culture of the places we visited. At Stonehenge, Mel provided us with fascinating information about the construction and significance of the monument, making the visit even more enriching. In Bath, his detailed explanation of the Roman history and the city's architecture was simply captivating. Besides being extremely informative, Mel was also very attentive and fun, ensuring that everyone in the group felt included and entertained. His ability to answer questions and share interesting facts made all the difference. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring these historical landmarks, and if you are lucky enough to have Mel as your guide, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience!Written 9 December 2024
- Trek526035426370 contributionsGlad we joined it!The view of stonehenge was really good! Although the weather wasn’t great and we couldn’t see the sunrise, which would have been even more breathtaking, my boyfriend and I are still glad we decided to join the tour. We had enough time to take photos and listen to our guide's introduction there and also for the shop. Windsor castle was also a great place to discover. We arrived Windsor around 12:00, and the bus left at 15:00. It would have been nice to have more time to explore the town, but it was still enough to visit the beautiful chapel, the dollhouse, and the state rooms in the castle. Robert is our guide and he's nice. As some other reviews have mentioned, the bus does not wait for latecomers, so be careful to every meeting time during the tour! Especially the first one at 5:30 AM for early departure! 5 didn't make it today.Written 9 December 2024

There was directly conflicting information on the website’s “tour description” as to whether the castle was open, and they let me purchase entry to the castle, which they should not have done. This meant my guests were very disappointed as the bus could only circle outside the castle, and nobody could even go on the grounds. The Windsor Castle tour should not be available when Windsor Castle is completely closed.

Claudia (our guide) and Steve (our driver) were a wonderful duo for our day trip! They definitely strived for the best possible trip. Getting to the morning departure station was very easy and accessible, the departure time was very prompt, and our guide was lovely, funny and knowledgeable. Everything went very smoothly and I felt at ease and comfortable the whole time. I had a very good time seeing three very beautiful, historic sites, and it was nice to get out of London for the day. I highly recommend this tour thanks for the incredible day Claudia!!

Cheers to our tour guide Simon. He was knowledgable and was so informative, even providing history and details of different landmarks as we passed by them on our way out of London. My wife and I were excited to check out these historical places for the first time. I particularly wanted to see Stonehenge while she wanted to see Oxford the most.
We were not too hyped about the Windsor Castle portion, so we opted to not get tickets to enter the castle. We did take that chance to just walk around the area and it was nice to start off our trip with a nice stroll up and down the streets while the rest of the group got to see the castle. Simon was really good in reminding us and making sure all of us were back on the bus in time to head to our next stop.
Stonehenge was tremendous. (We were given a little map with information we could listen to through our voice box on the bus and at the site. Very useful in prepping us for the monument.) I did wish we had more than an hour or so to check out the monument and see the store. Simon helped us out by suggesting how much time we should spend at each location. It was a great day to see this site and the highlight of the tour for me.
My wife was excited about Oxford and due to the traffic getting there, Simon decided to alter the walking tour portion of it to compensate for lost time. He was still very informative while making sure we still got a good grasp and feel of this city and the university. It was challenging though if we ended up in the back of the group because our voice box would be too far and we wouldn't be able to pick up the signal and hear him. Despite that, we got a great sense of the area in the condensed tour from Simon.
We got back to London on time and Simon even provided us food recommendations and the best routes to take to see other places in London through the tube.
We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see these sites for the first time.

Dear SLamR,
Thank you for leaving us feedback.
Seeing that you had a 5-Star experience is the best thing we could hope. While we do agree that we would like to give more time to our guests at each location, it is difficult due to the driving hour legislation, however we do have other tours that cover only two venues in a day which allow more time to explore, please visit our website for more information.
We will pass on the kind words over to Simon and we hope you come visit us again soon!
Best wishes

I have many things to say about this tour, and the first one is... astoundishing. The locations are very beautiful, and I have to say that you can spend a day there and not get bored, but as we were on a tour that had 3 stops, we didn't have enough time to see everything, but with a faster pace you can see a lot. But enough about the attractions, I am sure you all know they are great, that is why you have chosen this tour. What is more importand and what is great about Evan Evans tours is the quality of their tourguides and drivers, and I hereby give a warm applause and one big thank you to our guide - Emily and our driver - James. James is a great driver, we arrived at precisely the right time as he had sad before, without any discomfort. Emily is very knowledgeable, and I have learned a lot about attractions and she gave parallels and emphasised the most important stuff.
I would definitely choose Evan Evans tours for another trip.

This full day tour is genuinely one of the best I’ve been on. My family and I were on tour 26 and Godfrey, our guide was extremely polite and had vast knowledge of the places we visited.
My favourite part of the trip was the walking tour in Oxford where he showed us the Bodelian Library. Along the way, he pointed out a lot of Harry Potter facts which I appreciate because I’m a huge fan of the franchise. He also guided my family and I to a small cafe that had really good.
Moreover, he made sure everyone was punctual and that really made this trip a fun and easy one. I would definitely recommend taking this tour.

Fantastic day! Shelia was a ton of fun, full of lots of great information and made the day run smoothly which made it relaxing! Day was nicely spaced out and a great way to get a taste of each place. I highly recommend booking to include your entrance fees in the package price. This allows a stress free environment where you literally just have to get yourself back to the bus on time. Worth every penny (pence) as well as your time.

I do not believe most of the reviews here now....do not know where to start. I expected to spend 515$ and at least get something. we ( 4 of us including kids were left in the parking lot and the bus left without us. On top of everything, they promised on web site around 2 hours in Winsor. Instead of it we only spent in there 45 min running through the rooms and not even time to see things and we kept running to the bus and found Nothing. We were 5 min late to the bus because the guide told us there is no problem coming at 11.50. The bus left and never attempted to contact us and we called in the hope they return. So we paid our own money $65 for tickets to get back to London.
I tried to refund, and they kept refusing and the customer service supervisor never showed up. Basically, 4 of us feel like cattle and paid for it too. We also met other people who were left behind. At a train station, they told us this Vitor partner operator does it all the time...Also if you have an issue they will refuse to help!!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you missed our coach in Windsor. As I am sure the guide explained to you on the day, the schedule is very tight, so to ensure a smooth running of the tour it is vital that all guests report back to the coach by the given time. Our guides will always do their best to wait for latecomers, but there is only a certain amount of time that they can do this for before it impacts the experience of everyone else that did re-join the tour on time. If you wish to discuss your experience further, please email us with your booking reference at reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk
All the best,

I did this tour today with my family of 4 (2 kids, 8 & 10). Although we originally booked this service back in January, we were accidentally left off the guest list and had to wait on standby as the bus was supposed to be completely full. The staff on sit were courteous, however, you could tell there was little they could do to make this work. Not a great experience to begin the day. That said, they had four spots on the bus exactly after some no shows and we were able to hop on to the tour we were supposed to be on. This experience is the issue with the rating.
Now regarding the tour, our tour guide, Kevin, was a pleasure to be around and did an excellent job making the day work for us. My advice for this tour would be to provide third party groups with more direction on ticket presales. For those attending, please keep in mind that the visits to each location are rather short so if you intend to stay at one location for longer than 2 hours, you may want fo just book these events separately. All in all, solid experience.

Travelling to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford was wonderful! Godfrey was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and totallly knew how to avoid the lineups, and handle the large group on a long day, cold day! Our group enjoyed his entertainment and personality. Nicolas was a great driver as well! He kept our group safe on the roads, and our group really enjoyed the tour. Thanks team!

All the reservations for tours are subject to a minimum number of bookings. They won't tell you if it will go forward until 48 hours before, at which point it's difficult to book other tours if you don't like their rebooking offerings. I had two tours booked and both were cancelled.
Also if you rebook to a cheaper tour they won't automatically refund the price difference.

Dear Qased,
Thank you for getting in contact with us. We are very sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience. At Evan Evans Tours we pride ourselves on offering the best possible service and experience to all our guests. It sounds like on this occasion, unfortunately, we were unable to operate our service for which we are extremely sorry. The pandemic has had a devastating effect on the travel industry and for some tours on certain dates we have not received the booking numbers necessary to run a tour. We always contact guests as soon as possible in advance (with a minimum of 48 hours) offering alternative tours or dates. We are sorry in this instance that you did not necessarily want to go with our alternatives.
If our guests do decide to opt for a cheaper tour then we have a process in place to make sure that you get a partial refund without having to reach out to us. I am surprised to hear that this did not happen in your case. Please could you let us know your booking reference number (you can email us on reservations@evanevanstours.co.uk) so we can investigate further?
Please accept our apologies again and we hope that things go back to ‘normal’ very soon so we do not disappoint you again should you choose to travel with us in the future.
Best wishes,
Evan Evans Team

I noticed that Evan Evans Tour has two tour Winsor, Stonehenge and Oxford day trips from London. One $89.98 and the other $145. Could you please tell me the differences between these two?

It states in the additional information that “Windsor Castle is closed June 4, 15.” Does this mean it is closed June 4-15 or just on those 2 days?

Bonjour,
Merci
