Small-Group Historic Pubs Walking Tour in Soho
From US$45.70
Discover the Soho district of London with a knowledgeable guide who leads you on a fascinating walking tour of this legendary entertainment district. Soho has elements of Las Vegas, New York, Amsterdam and Hollywood, and has attracted some of the world’s most famous people to live, work and play. Hear about luminaries including Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix and Paul McCartney. Visit some traditional English pubs during the 2.5-hour tour where you can purchase a tasty brew.
What to Expect
Make your own way to Piccadilly Circus to meet your guide for your 2.5-hour walking tour. Your guide shares entertaining and informative commentary about the people and places of Soho, one of London's most famous entertainment districts.

During your walking tour, you'll explore parts of Soho where music legends such as Jimi Hendrix played legendary gigs, and where classical music genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his first symphony. Follow your guide around London’s former red light district and hear about the 'English Hugh Hefner.' Continue by strolling through Chinatown, St Anne’s Church and the French House, a pub where writers, painters and world leaders have gathered for decades. Find out where Karl Marx lived when writing Das Capital, at a spot just steps away from the pub where George Orwell wrote 1984.

Take in colorful and quirky street art, then stop for a look around Soho Square — considered the United Kingdom’s most cosmopolitan location and home to large media businesses including Paul McCartney's holding company.

Your Soho walking tour wraps up at a bar made famous by John Lennon and Eric Clapton. Get the inside scoop on why the bar banned Keith Moon (the drummer for The Who) and hear other fascinating stories before making your own way to your next destination.

Fun with facts!

Theo was our official guide, but more like a friend taking you to his favourite bars. Each pub had a different story and the the walk from each was filled with fun facts, historic landmarks and a good dose of scandal!
