Overview
Get a flavor of the cosmopolitan cuisines and culture of Soho, one of London’s trendiest neighborhoods, on this 3.5-hour afternoon walking tour. With an expert local guide, stroll around this buzzing area, whose multicultural roots have spawned a profusion of world food eateries and outlets. Learn about Soho’s colorful past and folklore, and enjoy up to 10 delicious international food tastings. Sample creations like 'dim sum' (steamed dumplings) in China Town, Japanese sushi and enticing Mexican tacos alongside other tempting morsels. Numbers are limited to 12 people, ensuring an intimate atmosphere.
What to Expect
Join up with your food-loving guide in central Soho in the afternoon, and set out on your 3.5-hour walking tour of this charming and historical neighborhood.

A honeycomb of roads tucked behind some of London’s most famous shopping streets, this buzzing district is packed with eateries, cafés, pubs and other outlets that offer an incredible fusion of international cuisine, from Chinese and Mexican to Japanese, Italian and classic British.

Learn how this culinary melting pot has its roots in the late 18th century, when immigrant communities moved in to find cheap housing. The district became known as London’s ‘French Quarter,’ and as the newcomers opened up cheap eating houses, it became the ‘in’ place to eat for the capital’s intellectuals, writers and artists.

As you explore, enjoy up to six food stops at places popular with the locals. Get insider tips from your guide on avoiding the tourist traps, and develop a great, first-hand feel of the real, everyday Soho — the one that’s not always immediately obvious.

Stop at various food outlets, including a historic, tucked-away foodie courtyard, and taste different world foods. Samples and stops on each tour vary according to availability, but expect to taste dishes such as dim sum in Chinatown, scrumptious Mexican tacos and Japanese seaweed-rolled sushi.

Chat to the vendors about their creations as you eat, and in between stops, soak up the vibrant, villagey atmosphere. Hear stories about Soho’s fascinating history and the famous figures, including writers, artists and poets, who have shaped its culture and folklore.

Your 3.5-hour tour finishes in Soho in the late afternoon, when your guide bids you goodbye.

We met our tour guide in the middle of Golden Square. We just took the tube and walked to the square.
