About
Take a walking tour of London that highlights locations from the 'Harry Potter' films to experience the English capital through a wizard’s eyes. Your guide shares behind-the-scenes stories from the blockbuster movies as you venture to real-world sites used for the Ministry of Magic, the Leaky Cauldron, and Diagon Alley. With numbers limited to 10 people, this small-group tour ensures a more personalized (and magical) experience.

Highlights
  • Explore London with a guide who shares entertaining commentary
  • Suitable for all ages
  • Hear about the Harry Potter movies and other London stories
  • Small-group tour with a maximum of 10 participants
What to expect
  • Make your way to the Westminster Tube Station, where this tour begins, and meet a guide and small group for the walk to the first location of the day, the "Ministry of Magic." In Harry Potter’s world, the Ministry of Magic is deep underground, and wizards access it by riding a magical red telephone booth—just like the ones that are all over modern-day London. You’ll spot the entrance to the "Leaky Cauldron" pub at the entrance to "Diagon Alley": before the “Statute of Secrecy” that banned non-wizards, both muggles and wizards could gather in the pub for pickled eel and bowls of soup. Continue down "Diagon Alley", then stand in the spot where Death Eaters destroyed the Millennium Bridge. Throughout the tour, your guide will share the magic behind the film locations, and how the real world London cityscape helped inspired the books. This Harry Potter walking tour concludes at "Platform 9 ¾" at King's Cross—the last stop before Hogwarts.

A Perfect Past time Pottering around!
Oct 2020 • Friends
It was a very wet day in London but that did not dampen our enjoyment of Rowan's wonderful tour. She provided so much knowledge about Harry Potter and insights into film making, London itself and weird and wonderful trivia. We thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and give lots of huge thanks to Rowan for making it the best 30th birthday tour ever!

Fantastic walking tour!
Oliver was a fantastic tour guide! I felt like I got a London tour in addition to the Harry Potter walking tour. 5+ miles and so many amazing places I would have never seen on my own. So glad there were less than 10 people on my tour.

Great experience thanks to enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide
Jan 2020 • Couples
We went on the tour in a small group with three other people which was really nice. Our guide Phil was extremely knowledgeable on little anecdotes about London far beyond the Harry Potter universe, but was also an incarnated Harry Potter fan - all in all the perfect person to experience London with. Unfortunately, we did this tour on our last day in London - we recommend you to do the tour on one of your first days because that will give you the opportunity to further explore some of the interesting sites highlighted by the tour guide.

Great tour of London - with Rowan as a guide!
Oct 2019
Being an avid HP fan, I had always intended to do a walking tour of some of the locations, and finally got around to it on this trip. I had the pleasure of being in a group guided by Rowan.

Rowan's knowledge of not just HP, but London in general, was fantastic and entertaining. Her commentary and gentle nature made sure it was an enjoyable morning. Despite the rain, Rowan kept us moving, warm, and dry, with a good pace of walking combined with taking the Tube. Rowan's tips on how to best enjoy London was also appreciated!

Highly recommended
Jan 2019
We had about a week to spend in London. My daughter isn't really a massive fan of HP, and neither am I. But we like the books ok and the movies and thought what the hell, let's check it out. I'm so glad we did: it was one of the best things we did on holiday.

I don't really know London all that well and my daughter not at all so this was the perfect way to get introduced to that amazing city.

Rhys was a perfect guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, conversational. So along the way not just Harry Potter stuff but tons more. Art history, architecture, social history. Also practical stuff like public transport, where to get a decent coffee, good book shops ... zero to hero in no time.

I recommend any visitors to London get off the plane, dump your swag and get on one of these tours.

Magnificent walking tour and sightseeing of London
Sep 2019 • Family
I did this tour with my mum and 16 year old daughter. Rhys was fantastic showing us all around London and all the different locations for filming not just HP but other films and shows too. I’m so glad I did this tour as we learnt so much about London that can’t be done driving past on a bus. I recommend booking this tour. Thank you Rhys for a wonderful morning out.

Sep 2019 • Family
My family and I did the Harry Potter Walking tour in London with Rhys Thomas, we had a fantastic morning out. We almost missed it due husbands issues with directions..... but we made it just in time. Rhys is a wealth of knowledge not just about Harry Potter but all things London we had a great morning seeing the sites and learning about the history of London. I imagine Rhys would be an asset at any quiz night!
Thanks for the adventure
