About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- BorgenBorg0 contributionsHad a great time with Alex!We had Alex Scamander as our tour guide, who was absolutely fantastic and the main reason the tour was so enjoyable! Really fun to see the shooting locations and inspirations for different surroundings in the books as well, but listening to Alex telling stories was the best part!Written 25 August 2024
- TommoOnTop0 contributionsCharming TourNik Longbottom was fantastic, kept us all on our toes with his knowledge and kept our very energetic 6 year old engaged and interested throughout. I have worked in the city for years but Nik showed us things that I didn’t know existed..magical experience, thank you Nik.Written 19 October 2020
- ASTHMOMMA0 contributionsBrilliant tour with a brilliant guide! In a word ‘BRILLIANT’! Not only the word from my and my husband but also from our HP mad 6 and 8 year old! It was their first trip to London and I totally worried that they wouldnt cope with the walking but they literally loved every minutes plus we got see some nooks and crannies of London we’ve not seen before. Joseph was engaging, attentive and surprising patient with a (slightly annoying!) 6 yr old. Loved it and the kids (and husband) have said they would do it again tomorrow. A definite 5 stars! Thank you Joseph.Written 21 February 2020
- Wanderer2550900 contributionsBrilliant tour and wonderful guideWe took this tour with our 6 & 8 year olds and we all loved it. The tour guide Evie was excellent and fantastic with the kids. Recommend unreservedly.Written 2 February 2020
- saragibbins0 contributionsAbsolutely amazing tour for Harry Potter fans of all agesAbsolutely amazing tour with Evie Delatour. Very exciting magic included. My favourite part was learning about the Ministry of Magic. I recommend this tour to all ages. Dylan (aged 9)Written 2 February 2020
- O2769FOheatherm0 contributionsFabulous tour!Had a fabulous afternoon with Joseph, who was very knowledgeable and entertaining during our Muggles Tour. Even if you’re not a huge Harry Potter fan, you’d still find this an interesting trip. Joseph is an HP superfan and knew his stuff inside out, making everyone laugh on the way. Would definitely recommend!Written 5 January 2020
- Zoya Z0 contributionsBrilliant!Had the tour with Luke Lestrange today who was simply brilliant: funny, kind, competent, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and also just took great care of us (assisted with tube tickets, considered a toilet break, took pictures, advised on more Harry Potter relevant places to visit further on our own, etc.) The tour is totally worth it, you are taken to multiple location where the scenes were filmes or JK had the inspiration, two last places are extremely instagrammable. Also you will pass such iconic sites as London Bridge, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.Written 29 December 2019
- LISAT42800 contributionsFun and inspiring - great way for kids to experience LondonWe loved this. It is a great way for 10-16 year olds to tour London and take an interest. My daughter was so taken by JK Rowling’s local imagination inspiration that she bought paper and pen and started writing herself. That’s a gift in itself, isn’t it?Written 21 December 2019
- KatieWhittingham0 contributionsGreat fun way to discover more of LondonFor people who thought they knew London this was a great way to see familiar and new sights through the eyes of Harry Potter. Whether you are a die-hard fan or just an interested muggle you will find lots of hidden gems brought to life by your guide. Our guide Nick was enthusiastic and interesting and knew his stuff. He made the areas come to life and we found little lanes we have never seen before. Fab morning. Highly recommended.Written 21 November 2019
- catec2100 contributionsA must for Muggles! My 10yr old daughter loved this tour! Luke Le Strange had great enthusiasm and energy which made it interesting, fun and kept us all engaged. Luke told many facts that even my HP super geek daughter didn’t know! We took the quick journey to Kings Cross afterwards to get the obligatory platform 9 3/4 photo which is not covered on this tour. Highly recommended for Harry Potter fans of all ages.Written 8 November 2019
- Marcela_D_M-B0 contributionsVisited a number of interesting locations in London related to Harry Potter booksA great way to get to know different areas of London. Our guide was energetic and knowledgeable, not only about the books and films, but also about the history of the locations we visited. She said she was a member of the Tonks family :D The tour is fun for all ages, I'm 70 and wasn't the only older person there. Had great fun witnessing the enthusiasm of the younger ones. Well-organized and punctual.Written 4 November 2019
- Ange M0 contributionsAmazing magical alternative LondonMy 8 year old was spellbound! We had an awesome guide in Miss Delacour whose HP knowledge was seriously impressive and was very indulgent of my Potterhead lad. Delightful mix of fun facts, quizzes, and scene recreation opportunities along the way. A very personalised guided walk - highly recommend.Written 30 October 2019
- sarahhX9649WL0 contributionsExcellent Tour!My husband and I are both HP fans and did this tour for his birthday. Our guide was Beth Tonks, and she was not only a great, enthusiastic tour guide, but so genuinely nice and great to talk to about the city in general. The tour hits some cool filming sites and sites of inspiration, but even better than the sites was the game of HP trivia we played (“House Cup”) and all the fun facts we learned. We did the evening (6:30) tour, and I was originally nervous about it being too dark to see anything. This was not the case at all and it actually added to the atmosphere of the tour. Definitely recommend!Written 26 September 2019
- Luiza D0 contributionsFun guide and an amazing vibeThis was so much better than expected! I was there alone and it was super easy to make friends. The guide, was fun and sweet, he made everyone feel comfortable and engaged.Written 23 September 2019

We booked this tour last minute about half an hour before it started. We met at Leadenhall market and went through the city, our guide (Lovegood) told us everything about the Leaky Cauldron, Gringotts etc. I liked that she asked a lot of "quiz questions", overall the tour was very interesting and entertaining. She had a book with pictures to show some things a bit better (how the things looked in the movies etc.), I just wished the pictures would have been bigger (there were about 4-6 on every page, usually on tours they use only one big picture per page).
Compared to other Harry Potter activities this tour is quite cheap, so I would definetely recommend to do it! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and still learned a lot of new things here :).

We had Luke Lestrange as our guide for the walking tour and his knowledge, theatrics and engaging commentary impressed us. We explored unique parts of London and he was able to weave relevant HP details into everywhere we went. Loved the scenery, the information, the insights into filming and Rowling’s conditions about casting, etc. All in all, an excellent tour and we would highly recommend it...!
A quick suggestion to further enhance the experience: the first stop occurs right around the food market and it might be a great addition to the tour if participants were given about 5 mins or so to get a treat or a hot drink to nibble on while walking through London. Good for all the local businesses and perhaps the food selection could be interwoven with some HP references as well...?
Thanks again to Luke for a wonderful Saturday morning!

I really enjoyed this tour. It was about 3hrs long, they take you to not only places that inspired the movies, but to actual spots that movie was shot at. was super cool. I've visited most of the iconic landmarks in London, but if you want to see the alleys and hidden spots than this tour is for you! The guide was super awesome, Alex.. he was very energetic and knowledgeable about the harry potter movies. He was very careful to make sure we were crossing the street safely and staying together. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this tour!

We had the best time touring London with Fredrick Diggory - it was so much fun! Highly recommend the 10:30am slot on a Sunday - the city was surprisingly quiet and our group was very small. Also meant we arrived at Borough Market just in time for an amazing lunch. Fredrick was super knowledgable about Harry Potter and it's London filming locations, but was also able to point out London landmarks as well. Perfect if you're a Harry Potter fan and new to the city! We had so much fun - thank you Fredrick!

It was a lovely walk with Eve our muggle guide through London and the magical and mystical spots she showed us. She was fully in to the Harry Potter Theme and caught us with her enthusiasm and her great way to include every participant in her story telling. It was great to meet her and dive into the atmosphere full of wizards and witches. We would not only recommend it to children but also to true Harry Potter fans. We enjoyed the tour with Eve.

We loved our experience with Tour for Muggles and our tour guide Will Hagrid.
One note to others with younger kids who are considering this tour. My kids are 4 and 7. My older child was so excited she literally danced her way through the streets throughout the tour. My preschooler had a more challenging time keeping up with the pace. I knew this was a possibility going in and my husband and I thought we might have to carry her. We did end up carrying her for most of the tour. For us it was worth it, our preschooler woke up the next day talking about Hagrid’s brother and that we should go see him again.
The website recommends 5yrs+ and I think this is a good recommendation. On a perfect day, a 4yr old would be able to do this tour with no problem. On an imperfect day they will need to be carried through London on a busy day.

Fantastic afternoon spent with Nick (Longbottom)!
Nick was funny, engaging and enthusiastic throughout entertaining myself, daughter aged 16 and son aged 14. Lovely few hours walking through London taking in some well known sites and other little secretive pockets with lots of fun facts on Harry Potter and more on London’s history.
The tour was small which was lovely, only 15 of us, and Nick spoke beautifully with energy throughout the 2.5 hours, we were always able to hear everything he said. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

An excellent few hours walking round key sights and links to Harry Potter. Our tour guide, the gorgeous Frederick was light hearted, accommodating (to a rather rowdy, fun loving group), knowledgeable, kind, patient and just such a good product of Hogwarts. His acting skills were so wonderful, we were transported into each scene!! There was a quiz that bound the houses together and points awarded accordingly to our wizarding knowledge. Would highly recommend the efficiency of the ‘back room staff’ too, such as Hana Hufflepuff who made the booking easy when I often made things hard!!! Book it!!

We had Luke as our guide. While gathering his group, he already got us in the right mood/spirit. He's living up in his job as the tourguide, giving very detailed information on the various sites, characters and the backgroud of the story. The tour itself gives lots of impressions of the various sites, that are placed "of the beaten track" from London, spots that are hardly visited from the large part of the tourists. The tour is definitely an alternative for the WB Studios Harry Potter. Our daugther is very into the Harry Potter story and enjoyed it very much to chat with Luke when the group moved between the places. Thank You Luke, this made our day!

What a great tour! Husband and myself and our teen daughter joined our tour guide Alex on a morning tour a few days ago one very chilly winter morning, but despite the cold weather the tour flew by.
The group was small, only about 12 people. We started off at Leadenhall market and ended at Borough market. The tour lasted 2 hours. We walked the whole way. It was a fun, interesting and entertaining few hours for Harry Potter fans of all ages. Got to know a few parts of the city we didn’t know at all and also learnt lots of facts about the film locations in London used for Harry Potter.
Alex was a lovely chap and a very entertaining guide…..he must also be an actor as he was very good at all the Harry Potter impersonations too.
Worth the money and thoroughly recommend if your a HP fan.

Is this tour included in the London Pass?
Written 16 October 2019
I don’t think it is, but it’s well worth the ££.
Written 17 October 2019
Can someone tell me what other expenses do I have to consider ? And the total amount , and what does the tour include ?
Written 5 October 2019
Total cost is on the website (for myself and my wife and 15 year old daughter was approx 56 pounds as far as I can remember). Will need to buy a ticket for the underground as part of the trip includes a tube journey. The total time for the tour is 2.5 hours and is well worth it, but ensure you have comfortable footwear. If you have an interest in All things Harry Potter you will thoroughly enjoy the experience.

How long is the tour? We only have 1 & 1/2 day in London and already bought day pass for the Nov 21, but my daughter really wanted to do this tour? We arrive Nov 20 at 12 noon, is there a tour later in the aftetnoon?
Written 13 September 2019
Tour is 2 1/2 hours duration. Check website for times ours was at 2pm. I am guessing as it takes the full 2 1/2 hours last tour is probably around 3. Hope this helps
