About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- BP2270 contributionsA disappointing tourHow disappointing. The guide was not up to standard on basic Agatha Christie facts. Some examples include: 1. He stated repeatedly that Christie's second husband was an architect, when in fact he was an archeologist. The guide even showed photos of artifacts that were found on his digs, and mentioned that his work was in the British museum, all while asserting that he was an architect. 2. The guide also referenced a man named Sloane on this tour, stating he was an architect, when in fact he was a physician and naturalist. 3. He stated that the name of Christie's daughter was Rosamund, when in fact it was Rosalind. This was even noted on the statue that he took us to. 4. He stated that one of Christie's plays was titled Prosecution for the Witness. All of these misstatements revealed that the guide was not well-versed in Christie's life, and that made me question everything else he told us.Written 24 March 2025

- 763mirjanas0 contributionsA Truly Unforgettable Experience! One of the best tours I have ever experienced. My son and I had the privilege of enjoying a private tour, just the two of us, with an exceptional guide. He was not only professional and kind but also a truly gifted storyteller. He took the time to ensure we understood everything, engaging us in a way that made the experience even more meaningful. Every detail of the tour was thoughtfully planned, and it was a pleasure to be part of it. My 18-year-old son absolutely loved it, and I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to everyone.Written 27 February 2025

- andywW7336JJ0 contributionsGuide didn’t turn upDon’t book this. Start time was 2pm and we arrived at 1:45. Stood in the cold until 2:30 waiting for a guide who never turned up. No communication from anyone or any company involved. We are so let down as we love Dickens and had spent time and money to experience this. Waiting on Tripadvisor response to refund request.Written 1 December 2024
- sherrytL7058QD0 contributionsWonderful Fab Four Taxi Tour in Liverpool! My husband and I were treated to a wonderful tour of Liverpool, visiting everything one would hope to see on a tour of important Beatles sites…Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, childhood homes, and many more. Our Guide and driver, Peter, is well versed in Beatles lore, gave us time to look around and take pictures, is a great driver and a very nice person! We highly recommend the Fab Four tour!Written 29 October 2024
- gamlam0 contributionsJonathan, A fabulous guide for the Agatha Christie TourWe thoroughly enjoyed the entire Agatha Christie tour. Jonathan went above and beyond to provide us with lots of interesting information, accompanied by photos, at each stop on the tour. We are already planning our next tour with Brit Icons.Written 28 October 2024
- vladim_rab20200 contributionsA must for any horror fanI've had an amazing time on the walking tour! Got the voucher as a secret Santa present last year and kept putting it off as I believed it would be great for Halloween time! Definitely didn't disappoint. Very immersive, very interesting, I've learned so many new things about an area that is definitely not new to me. Declan was wonderful, knowledgeable and able to pull you into the story fully. I'll recommend to anyone I know! In the end I even bought the book he wrote and I can't wait to read it and learn even more about the many horror stories of London.Written 25 October 2024
- alisoncP9514NI0 contributionsBrit Icon Tours - Private Underground TourThis tour was really interesting. The history of the underground is amazing. Rory (our tour guide) knew his stuff and answered all our questions. I was disappointed that the £80 didn't include traveling around on the underground between stations. I would've thought this would be included for £80 but Experience Days (who we booked through) didn't tell us. Brit Icon Tours were very helpful. Not happy with the service from Experience Days so I would book straight through Brit Icon Tours. Definitely a tour for train enthusiasts.Written 22 October 2024
- 622stuarth0 contributionsA great little addition to the Saturday morning Portobello market experienceDecided to bolt this walking tour onto a Saturday morning trip to Portobello market and it didn't disappoint. Micheal was our guide and the group was small with only 9 of us. He obviously knows the area well and was able to provide plenty of stops around the back streets pointing out the houses of a few celebrities along with some iconic filming locations. A few of the film locations were "Notting Hill" related but a few others too for varied interest.Written 6 October 2024
- ambref17100 contributionsLong walk, but great timeDeclan is a really good story teller and his expertise is showing along the tour. English is not my mother tongue and yet, I did understand everything he said, so kudos to that.Written 19 September 2024

Our driver Tony was great. He showed up right on time, he was funny, knowledgeable, and had some great stories about his own experiences in the very areas he was taking us too. A very personable guide. He took rather good photos of us crossing Abbey Road as well. To hear the backstories of places you've only ever seen photos of was what made the day so good. This trip was a gift to my spouse and while it is a pricey outing, the fact she enjoyed it so much made it worth everything.

We booked this tour for my Mothers 70th Birthday and we weren't disappointed, Peter our Tour Guide & Taxi driver had endless knowledge and trivia on not just the Beatles but other areas of Music of interest to our whole party. He was flexible, reliable and completely personable. My Mother was delighted with the vast knowledge he bestowed as well as the places he took us with the 2.5 hours we had. Would highly recommend this Tour to any fans you will be blown away.

Our guide, Greg, met us on time at the exact location he told us.
We got a thorough tour of all Beatle history in London. We also did a short walking tour near London’s high end area.
We appreciated that he used a mike so it was easy to hear.
I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to know more about the Fab Four. Thanks so much Greg.

My son and I went on a Black Taxi Beatles sites tour at a weekend trip to London. Geoff, our excellent guide picked us up timely at the agreed place for a 2-3 hours tour. Together with the tour of the sites, which included John and Paul’s homes, Abbey Road crossing and visit of several additional historical gems, we were shown video clips and pictures of the band from the different places we visited, making this pop history a true experience. The whole topped with Geoff’s insightul narrative. As a bonus, one of the stops were in front of our hotel, which to our amazimg surprise was part of the scenery where A hard days night was filmed. All and all the tour gave a lot of unique insights making it well worth the price. A must for those that want a true London flavour to the Beatles experience.

This really was a fun and interesting way to see the many Beatle related spots in London. It really is a small group...just us in a cab hitting all the locations. Geoff our guide genuinely cared that we enjoyed ourselves. We talked about all sorts of things other than the Beatles as well and Geoff made the whole experience fun and interesting!

Perfect way to do the tour...just the 3 of us in the cab...could get out and look, take pics whenever we wanted or not! Could not do this anywhere of course depending on London traffic. Geoff was excellent guide, had old Beatles photos for us to see on his tablet, of places where we were viewing, and later forwarded them all for us to keep. At end of tour he offered to drop us off at our next attraction. A great afternoon !

I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who has heard of the Beatles but it is a true “must do” for die hard fans. You can look up the locations and go there yourself, but the information and insights Geoff provided can’t be found on Google. And you have in Geoff a die hard fan himself to discuss and question things you may think you know. This was a true highlight of our trip to London!

This was a fun way to start our time in London. The driver was very fun loving and knowledgeable about the Beatles. I was happy to not have others in the cab with us as it gave us great freedom to move from seat to seat. The weather was cold and the driver was happy to stop for some hot cholocate when we asked. Overall would do this again, but when the weather is warmer.

Hello,
I'm traveling solo to London and would LOVE to take this tour. Is there any way I could book it for just one person?
Written 4 November 2019
I do believe it is possible. It was only my husband and I. I would attempt to book and message them with any questions. Ask for Tony! He was the absolute best

The tour ends in Soho. Do we have to pay to get back to London?
Written 22 August 2019
Our driver asked us where we wanted to be dropped off. Your driver would probably drop you someplace within a reasonable distance of where you want to go. Just ask him ahead of time. He may readjust the schedule so you can be in the area where you want to be dropped off at the end. Also, get an Oyster card so you can easily hop on and off public transit!
Written 22 August 2019
Since it is a "cab tour" do you spend more time walking or riding to the sights in the cab?
Written 15 July 2019
We only did a little bit of walking. If you want to do more walking, your driver probably would oblige.
