  • We have earmarked this tour as especially safe during the Coronavirus outbreak due to generally quiet places that we visit where social distancing is generally not a problem. All of our tours are private so it is just you/your family and your guide.  To make it easier and safer for all concerned we would suggest starting this tour a little later than the usual time, perhaps around 10.30-11am which allows us all to miss rush-hour. We are happy to still come to your hotel to meet you but for the moment we would suggest meeting us at the tour starting point.  This allows you to arrive by a taxi or uber rather than public transport. Please feel free to wear masks throughout or at times during the tour.  Your guide will also have a mask with them.
  • Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

This tour was amazing! Kevin, our guide, shared his encyclopedic knowledge not only of Dickens locations but of London in general. Every corner and alley, he offered a new, fascinating nugget of information. We loved the fact that, as a tour for just the two of us, we could

Thank you so much for your great review. We love all our tours but especially the ones where we can go off the beaten track a little. Kevin enjoyed meeting you too, the highlight of our job is always to meet nice and interesting people from around the world and sharing our love of the history of London with them. We hope to see you again next time :-) with Ye Olde England Tours.

This walking tour is equal parts Dickens and London. I had an exceptional experience with Kevin. What better way to learn about the city than through the eyes of one of it's most famous inhabitants. I believe that you would not have to know much about Dickens to enjoy this tour.

Thankyou for your great review. We’re delighted to hear that you had a such a good time with Kevin on our Charles Dickens Walking Tour. It does take you through various parts of London which though key to Dickens and London itself, aren’t necessarily the first places tourists would visit on their own. It’s always fascinating to visit the locations in real life and interesting to follow Dickens from his childhood poverty south of the river all the way up to leafy Bloomsbury when he was accomplished and living in luxury. Thank you again and we hope to see you again one day should you ever return to the U.K.

Thanks so much for your great review John. I'm sorry I wasn't able to personally take your tour especially after such a glow recommendation but I knew you would enjoy your time with Kevin just as much. Yes the 5 hour tour does have a bit of a walk doesn't it but hopefully all the sights and neighbourhoods make it all worth while. I'm really glad that you had such a great day and Kevin says 'Hi' too.
