- Coopsmoot0 contributionsTour of British Museum and the National GalleryRequest Steph :). Steph was an amazing guide!. We had great communication of where to meet & what to expect before the tour. Steph texted me the morning of our tour. Steph’s knowledge of art, historical facts and fun stories/facts about the art/artist/artifacts made our tour a 10+. We had plenty of time to view both museums after each tour as well. We learned so much. Truly a great day & memory.Written 15 February 2025
- lizaken0 contributionsLoved Our TourMy husband and I toured the British Museum last week with Sheldon as our guide. We learned so much and were blown away by his knowledge. We could have spent a few days there, but given the time we had, Sheldon showed us the must-see exhibits. We highly recommend this tour and Sheldon as a guide!Written 14 February 2025

- BondBR0 contributionsFantastic tour of the British MuseumWhat made this tour superb was the enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide Stephanie. She obviously loves what she does and made every effort to be well-informed and clear. Her presentation was not only informative but energetic and interesting, bringing in stories and facts that helped bring history alive.Written 10 February 2025
- OnAir032649363230 contributionsChurchill War Rooms & Wartime LondonDr Andrew Lock was our Tour Guide. We were given a complete background on Churchill's political history beginning around World War 1 throughout World War II. Our small group had many questions and Andy was patient answering all our questions. I cannot imagine touring the museum and just listening to a recording. All the rooms and exhibits provoked dialogue. We had an intimate experience. Our group learned the United Kingdom's position and tactics that lead to the success of World War II. I recommend you request Dr Andrew Lock for any historical tour of London.Written 10 February 2025
- R7143PNtimothyg0 contributionsA+ tour guided and an incredible guideWhat an incredible tour! Sheldon was an excellent tour guide providing us with the rich, yet sobering history found within The British Museum. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about this incredible museum and the treasures within.Written 9 February 2025
- amv430 contributionsInsight of exhibits contained within the British MuseumThis was booked as a small group tour but given it was winter in London at the time it was just myself and my wife. Consequently, our guide James could devote his entire time directly to us. James was nice and pleasant person to converse with. He possessed detailed knowledge and insight to all objects which we viewed. There are thousands of items to view so James focused on the most historical and/or fascinating objects and he provided also the historical and chronological in time importance of those items in a manner which was easily understood. The British Museum collection is vast to say the least so it would be completely unrealistic for James to know fully ever detail of every object, but his knowledge covered a wide breath of items and he thoroughly knew what he was talking about. Because the museum is so expansive, time went quickly, but on the other hand James took to the time to provide a detailed explanation to our question, of which, there were many.Written 7 February 2025
- 828katelynl0 contributionsGreat storytelling!Excellent tour! We were apprehensive about visiting the museum but Ellie did an incredible job contextualizing colonialism and controversial pieces, and more than that, she was passionate and engaging storyteller. Can't recommend touring with her enough!Written 3 February 2025

- Gayl P0 contributionsSmall private tour on The British MuseumI had a great tour with Ivo and the other guests . Ivo was very engaging and knowledgeable on all exhibits we visited. He goes the extra mile pointing extra pieces or stories connected to the exhibits. The museum has multiple exhibits and having the small tour was the best way to enjoy and learn so much in a few hours. I enthusiastically recommend this tour on your visit to London.Written 30 January 2025

Matilda was the Tour Guide assigned to take us around The Tate Modern. She was absolutely AMAZING!! We would not have been able to capture 1/8th of the contextual knowledge that Matilda was able to provide us with. The depth of her knowledge coupled with her enthusiasm made all of the difference and the two and a half hours simply flew by. We HIGHLY recommend Matilda to ANYONE who wishes to visit a one of the museums that she covers.

Becky our tour guide was amazing. She was knowledgeable and personable and really made the immense Tate Modern come alive for us. She knew exactly what pieces would tell the story of Modern art and she was fascinating, factual and fun.
She involved us in conversation and it was the best musuem tour Ive had.

We had a wonderful experience thanks to our tour guide, Becky. To truly appreciate art, it helps to know the time period in which it took place (what else was going on) and where it falls in the progression of art itself. Becky understood this and took us on a journey through the evolution of contemporary art. It was also fun when she pushed us to think about what we saw and felt when experiencing these works. We highly recommend her and plan on using her for more tours throughout London. Thank you Becky!!

My husband and I took the guided tour with Ellie today. It was absolutely amazing: she is very knowledgeable and passionate about art history. We’ve been to a lot of museums but Ellie totally changed our perspective today. We finished the tour today more educated, knowledgeable and got a different perspective about contemporary, pop art.
I can’t recommend taking this tour enough. Thank you Ellie for setting a great start for our trip to London!

Wonderful Tour! We did not know much about modern art. Our guide, Becky, took us through the galleries while explaining the evolution of the modern art period. She would then show us works that exemplified what we were learning about. In addition, she asked our opinions so that it was not a mere lecture experience. We all came away with both knowledge and appreciation, As a side note, Becky is full of enthusiasm, clearly knows the material and was a lot of fun!

Becky was an outstanding tour guide. She brought the art to life with her informative talk. She was also very considerate of the fact that my husband had to go at a slower pace. She was very knowledgeable and her talk accomplished my purpose--which was to get an understanding of the Tate Modern and highlight the art works.

So selective which is a relief as there is just so much in every direction. Our guide Matilda was knowledgeable and engaging and also challenged us at times to get involved with certain pieces...what do we feel...what else do we see?
