An unforgettable experience!
Dec 2019 • Family
We loved our two hour visit and grateful that we were paired with Nathalie who was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our two families with a combined seven kids. Even though the venue was packed to the gills, we were so impressed with the Museum itself and would highly recommend to others. And thanks to Nathalie’s recommendation of entering through the back, we avoided a VERY long line in the front. Overall, unforgettable experience and hope to visit again one day.

Utterly awful con!
Nov 2019 • Family
The tour guide didn’t show up, I should have looked at the other reviews on this site which say exactly the same thing. The emergency telephone number on the booking was a foreign number and DID NOT WORK.

I was finally called back to a message I sent by a french woman (obviously based in France) who absolutely insisted that the tour guide WAS there stood next to me. She wasn’t.

I want a refund. Total and utter con.

Quick tour with a theme
Nov 2019 • Couples
Natasha was very bubbly, inclusive and knowledgeable. Her theme was symbolism throughout civilizations and time and it was a quick tour but hit almost all of the areas. She did a great job.

Terrible experience – No one was there! I’ve paid for nothing!
Nov 2019
The British Museum is free of charge. I’ve paid 76 USD (3 persons) to have a guided tour, that never happened. When we came to BM, no one in the staff knows who the guide was or were exactly was the meeting point, as the instructions were not clear. Then I’s called to the phone number from “Universal Tour Guide” (+33180894829) and I had a terrible experience has a customer, since the lady in the line shouted with me, interrupting my arguments. I was very naïve to fllow this Trip Advisor recommendation without having a second/better thought. We didn’t meet the tour guide, we was not at the meeting point, I have paid for nothing!

Too much too fast but informative
Sep 2019 • Couples
The tour was very informative, our guide Natasha was friendly, and it was great to have one guide for the two of us. However, we felt rushed and theres too much covered in 1.5 hours. Glad we had time at the end to explore on our own.

Great overview of a huge museum
Aug 2019 • Friends
Jake was exactly the type of guide we wanted - his passion for what he showed us was contagious. We didn’t see the whole museum, how could we? But we saw quite a few great items and deep interesting stories behind them. Now, on a future visit, we can confidently explore the museum on our own.

Best private 2-Hour tour with children, very enjoyable!
Normally a ten year old get bored with museum tours after 45 minutes or shorter. With Naomi as our tour guide, my son has a wonderful two hour British Museum visit, and he is quite excited with the story telling explanations and interactive question and answers. Naomi has in depth knowledge on the exhibits and she put things into kids perspective. For example, she explained some games by ancient South Americans, some board games by Egyptians, and her explanation about the Rosetta Stone was fully understood by my son. The British Museum is crowded as usual, she managed to covered almost all sections within two hours. What a wonderful experience!

Not worth it
Jul 2019 • Solo
Although Natasha was good, but there are some basic flaws in setup of this.

1- I couldn't find operator on the agreed upon location although I reached about two minutes early.
2- Gathering location was at the back of museum. I don't understand why. I believe it should be at the front or somewhere within the museum that is easy to find.
3- At times it was difficult to hear clearly.
4- I had to make an international call to get to tour company. There should be a local number I could call.

Advice: There should be a proper numbered jacket assigned to each tour leader and that number should be very prominent so that it is easy to find tour leader.
A hint of what to expect -- which galleries we would explore should be told when buying the tickets.

Poor, poor private tour
The title sums up it up for the experience with Na___ as the guide. The tour has good fit for our schedule - in the morning. It was poor in it's pace and organization (30s to 2min for most stops, with no logic to or much linkage among gallery stops). Poor in information content (Less info than the exhibit captions; can't answer any question to an article or its context). I'm afraid it's too shallow even for a novice visiting museums for the first time. Have far superior experiences with the museum's or London Walks' tours.
