    Amazing!
This was definitely worth the money, seeing all of these things and getting yourself around would be way complicated. Definitely would go in February again, cold but not unbearable and smaller queues. Mel was an amazing tour guide, very funny and genuine and kept checking in with me as I’m solo on this tour.

    Great sights but rushed !
The sites were incredible to see and the tour was amazing overall but don’t expect a guided tour - you will be left on your own and to find your way back to the bus at each attraction. The tour guide didn’t ever check that we were all with her before going into an attraction and basically just told us to “meet her at the bus in an hour and a half” and find our way back on our own. Our guide left a lady behind at Windsor Castle for being 9 minutes late for the bus even though she was probably lost. This tour should specify that hot food/drinks aren’t allowed on the bus (especially for the winter months) and that you have literally ZERO time at each stop or on the road to get food (unless you count a cold pasty that’s been sitting out all day for £8 “lunch”). The places that did sell food were either all sold out, old, or overpriced. I’d recommend bringing some snacks/lunch and water. Our guide, Sandra, was nice and knowledgeable about the villages we drove through but overall she provided very little guidance (especially since none of our audio guide boxes worked). If you just want a drive to/from and entry to these amazing sites then this tour is for you but don’t expect much more

Sandra was an amazing guide. This tour might have been my favorite experience in London yet. Seeing everything with Sandra giving the history was really cool. Greg was an excellent driver and got us there safe and sound. Definitely recommend the 3 part tour.

Pretty great tour but time-stressed. Oxford is something that you maybe need to visit as a standalone. Nevertheless our tour guide Robert and our coach driver Mark did what was possible to have a great time. It's highly recommended if you don't have the time to spend a whole day in Oxford.

We loved the tour! Mark was a great, safe driver and we were all able to sleep when we were traveling between destinations. Robert was awesome and talked about extra information and history about many places. Even had some time to pickup coffee and food along the way. Definitely a good tour to go to, would recommend. Thank you!

We did the state rooms tour in early august. If you pre-book your tickets online, a souvenir book is included which has photographs of all the rooms. The tour is self-guided using their audio guide system, which is included with the ticket. While it was quite busy, this was by far the best excursion we booked on our trip and I would highly recommend. Everything was very well organized, and you were able to move at your own pace spending as much or as little time in each of the state rooms as you’d like. Even if you’re not super into the royal family, the history, architecture, artwork, and overall experience is absolutely amazing. At the end of the state room tour, there is a cafe and gift shop in the palace gardens. The prices were comparable to other tourist attractions, and the food was excellent.

St James' Park Tube station is the closest with approximately 10 minute walk to the entrance. We booked online and arrived before our designated time to allow us to get our tickets from the designated gate - all entrances are beside each other. You go through security and get an audio guide which you follow at your own pace through each of the rooms - it can get busy, but it was manageable. You are not allowed to take photos inside. The rooms were very impressive as is the art and architecture. King Charles' portrait by Jonathan Yeo is on display also which was very impressive. After the self guided tour we stopped for tea - this was definitely on the pricey side, but it was nice to sit and relax and look out on the garden. There is then a 10-15 minute walk along the path to exit the grounds.

Dear GemsNI, Thank you for sharing your detailed experience! We're glad to hear that you found the St. James' Park Tube station convenient and that booking online made your visit smooth. It’s great that you enjoyed the self-guided audio tour, despite the crowds, and that you were impressed by the art and architecture, especially King Charles' portrait by Jonathan Yeo. Stopping for tea sounds like a lovely way to unwind after exploring, even if it was a bit pricey. We appreciate your insights on the exit path, as it’s helpful for future visitors. Well worth a visit and the staff were very friendly especially those outside the entrance fielding the questions from all the visitors. There must be a better system than queuing up twice, once to exchange the voucher for a ticket and once for the entrance, effectively double handling each visitor. The queues were enormous stretching right back to the front of the palace, so we entered way past our entry time but the staff did really well herding us in difficult conditions. Lots to see and the audio guide is a must, highlighting the main exhibits in each room. I did miss one or two at first but was able to backtrack despite the hoards of people and was always able to see the exhibit clearly. The only real confusion came in the picture gallery where it was hard to find the painting that the audio guide was talking about. The gardens were nice and the garden café a welcome retreat at the end of the visit. Overall lots to see, very opulent if not gaudy, you must go. Your ticket can also be transformed into a one year pass by having it stamped at the end of the visit for free.

Dear Sidrider Thank you for your detailed review! We’re pleased to hear that you found the visit well worth it and appreciated the friendliness of our staff, particularly those assisting at the entrance. We understand your feedback regarding the queuing process and will take it into consideration as we seek to improve the efficiency of ticket handling. We’re glad to hear that despite the queues, our staff managed to assist you effectively and that you were able to enjoy the exhibits with the help of the audio guide. Thank you for your observations about the picture gallery and the gardens. We’ll review the audio guide’s directions for clarity. It’s great to know that the garden café provided a pleasant retreat and that you enjoyed the opulent surroundings. We appreciate your recommendation and the tip about converting your ticket into a one-year pass. Thank you for visiting, and we hope to welcome you back in the future! Best wishes Evan Evans Team

So we booked a Sunday at 11.30 right as changing of the guard was starting so crowds were horrendous but we joined the queue at the gate we needed to. We did move quickly through to a waiting area which got very busy.
We also had a autistic teen which was known on the ticket, the crowd for the entrance to security just kept getting busier. After the 100th warning about no photos past this point amd what should be taken out of your pockets for security we were finally allowed through to security which did a great job and very quick.
Now picked up a audio guide and off we went. It was the hottest day of the year and wow did we know it walking round there. Every room over crowded and absolutely red hot. One girl who worked there had the fan blowing directly on her and nothing else in the room.
It's a shame you can't take any photos at all whilst being inside.
The paintings were great the palace was stunning and massive. The audio guide was good didn't waffle on and if you missed something you could go back to it.
Heading out of the palace we headed for the cafe which was absolutely rammed no seats at all ( which is no good) when you're fed up off the heat and had no where to sit inside the palace because any seating was already taken. So we headed towards the garden with a refillable bottles of water priced at (£3.50 each and 2 victoria sponge cakes smaller than size of your palm priced at £8. My son who had had enough of being too crowded and too hot went and sat on the edging of the grass which is a piece of concrete edging and was quickly told off by a the female version of terminator who was then told by myself that he needs to sit down and there is no seats she wasn't interested at all after she ran after another tour group of kids who were doing the same. After this we'd all had enough and set off for the royal mews which is a good 30 min walk back to the entrance of Buckingham palace with no shortcuts.
Gift shop staff need to be a bit more polite I paid there hourly wage with just one pen they could at least smile.
We did stop at the ice cream parlour on the way out the ice cream was nice and not that expensive £4 amd 50p extra per topping but wow get some more staff on on busy days.
Buckingham Palace if you read this.
1. Get more seating (on busy days)
2. Stop getting the rooms so crowded it's not enjoyable
3. Have a shortcut to get to the royal mews for people who have tickets there afterwards
4. More staff on the ice cream parlour
5. Explain to the female Terminator in the garden to change her attitude people need to sit down and I'm sure King Charles would rather some one sat on the edge of his lawn rather than passing out on it, she could be setting up more chairs for people instead of telling people off.

Souvenir refillable bottle is great and at £3.50 a bargain as I refilled this when we went into the Royal mews.

Buckingham palace was an experience that I wouldn't do again but it's nice to say I've been inside Buckingham Palace.

Great tour of rhe state rooms within the palace.
Tou also get a chance to see and walk in the gardens
You enter ro the left of the Palacw as you view it and would suggest buying . times slot before arriving.
Getting in wasn't too bad, but we had a pre paid slot time.
Be aware at the end of the tour, you will exit into Groavenor Place and close to Hyde Park Corner. If you want to see more of the front, then don't do this before your tour as it's 15mins+ back to the front.
It was worth a visit, but we felt overcrowded and would have been a better experience with fewer people and more information on the audio guides
Nonetheless still very historical

This is an excellent tour, avoiding the summer crowds (already sold out for 2024). Our guide Lynne, a long standing member of the Palace team, could not have been more informative & fun. Her knowledge was faultless but she delivered it in a light hearted, tongue in cheek style, so the 90 minute tour was never stiff or boring. The State Rooms are stunning & it’s a wonderful glimpse behind the scenes. You get to see the Grand Staircase, Throne Room & Ballroom, alongside several others. Photography isn’t permitted & of course, you can’t touch anything, but the tour was far less prohibitive than I'd expected, I didn’t feel closely policed, as is often the case in stately homes & museums. The current cost is £95 which includes a souvenir book & 20% off in the Palace shop.

My mom and I went on the State Room and Garden Highlights Tour and had a lovely experience overall. We arrived 15 minutes early, as requested, and the line and security check were quick and smooth. While we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside, we ended up appreciating that it helped us fully experience the tour. The audio guide was divided into short sections, making it easy to stay engaged while exploring the rooms, which were fascinating. Despite the number of visitors, it didn’t feel crowded.

After the State Rooms, we sat at the palace café before the garden tour, though it was a bit pricey for what was offered, especially the takeaway afternoon tea. The garden tour itself was less exciting for me, as the guide wasn’t very engaging, and there was no photography allowed either. We finished by browsing the shop, which was also on the expensive side, but still fun, and we ended up buying a few things. Overall, it was an interesting and enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

The tour (self guided with optional headset) was extremely interesting but the entrance process was awful. I adhered to the advice posted on the website and told my family not to bring large bags (backpacks) or purses as the website clearly states they are not allowed in and nor is there anywhere there to store them - what a complete load of nonsense. There is in fact a separate line inside for large bags which are allowed in and include all those the website says do not bring. In addition, once you enter the entrance area, absolute chaos ensues. There is little seating provided and almost no A/C whilst they make you stand and wait for what seems like an eternity but was certainly 15 minutes until they start letting people in. On the day we arrive, one lady even fainted from the heat. The organization is appalling with what appeared to be teenagers seemingly running things and with no idea how to deal with the crowds. If you go, be prepared for a terrible initial experience. Once in, the state rooms are extremely interesting and they have a cafe to enjoy at the end.

This is not a reflection on Buck House as it is wonderful from what I remember, but a reflection on the experience & what I would do differently given the chance.
Getting into Buck House is much like TSA and walking through is much like cattle being herded along. It’s frustrating when other people stop right in front of you or are just generally in the way by being inconsiderate.
We took the audio guide but my advice is to just not bother. It is more distracting to continually press buttons to hear only 90 seconds of information than to just walk through on your own. I don’t remember much of what I saw & I believe it’s because operating the audio guide is distracting.
Just walk through on your own and enjoy what you see. You can research information later.

The palace itself was impressive and had so many pictures, paintings, sculptures, boutique furniture, and crazy-ornate nicknacks that you could have spent an hour in each room and not exhausted things to look at. Unlike the British Museum, however, it felt harmonious and purposeful; it wasn’t just a collection of precious objects; it was, as they said many times, a working palace with themes and a feng shui flow from room to room that seemed natural and elegant. The tour was constructed to funnel a significant number of people through the palace at a steady pace, and it did that admirably well. You received an audiovisual tablet about the size of a cell phone with headphones supporting a dozen languages. It had an overview of each room and then highlighted three or four items throughout the room with thirty to sixty-second spiels that played as you clicked along in order. It kept people moving at a steady pace. They also prohibited photos (and there were a lot of staff around to enforce it). No reason was given, but it seems obvious that it would slow people down if they were all trying to snapshots of the myriad items and the rooms themselves.

Dear David, Thank you for your insightful review! We’re delighted to hear that you found the palace so impressive, with its vast collection of art, furniture, and intricate details. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the harmonious and purposeful design of the palace, which indeed creates a unique flow and elegance as you move from room to room. We’re glad the audiovisual tablet enhanced your experience and helped highlight key items while maintaining a steady pace for all visitors. The prohibition of photos is likely in place to keep the flow smooth and ensure everyone gets the most out of the tour, as you noted. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Best regards, The Evan Evans Team
