Stunning cathedral visit
Pre booked our tickets and visiting time for a reasonable price and totally worth it, no queues to get in, would recommend picking up headset to listen to all the fascinating facts about the different areas and history of the building which is beautiful. Definitely worth the many steps up to the top for the fantastic views of the surrounding city. Felt very safe with everyone distancing and keeping themselves to themselves. A peaceful and tranquil, fact filled visit.

Beautiful
Absolutely worth the admission fee and such a gorgeous place to visit and a great view from the top as well if you’re up for quite a few stairs.

Evensong transports you
The magnificent building is even more moving with the echo of angelic voices at Evensong. If you are in the know and arrive early enough, you can sit in the quire with the choristers and the clergy. Just don’t understand how anyone could go to it and then walk out without making any donation. And unfortunately most did not.

ST PAULS CATHEDRAL
Jan 2020
St Paul's Cathedral dedicated to St Paul, has stood on this highest point in the City of London for over 1,400 years. It was designed by Britain's most famous architect, Sir Christopher Wren. We visited on a beautiful sunny day in January as part of our friends birthday treat. Ensure you book in advance and note that most visitors spend an average of two hours inside. When we went, the Whispering Gallery was closed and is expected to remain closed until April 2020. The other higher galleries remain open, however be prepared for the 500 steps upto the top along with a narrowing stairway as you ascend. Unfortunately I couldn't manage the stairs, so waited in the cafe for my friends to return. The photos they took from the summit where spectacular and coincided with the winter sun setting, I was surprised to learn that the highest point is outside! Once inside this beautiful, iconic building, you cannot fail to be overwhelmed by the Cathedrals magnificent dome; one of the highest in the world. So many memorable services have been held here, the funerals of The Duke of Wellington, Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher to name but a few and of course the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, watch by millions around the world.
The Cathedral is a working Anglican church, with hourly prayers and daily services. We were fortunate to be there for 5 o clock evensong, which was absolutely beautiful and peaceful.
Personally I think a visit is well worth the £20 entrance fee but if you wish to save a few pounds, tickets can be purchased on-line at a reduced rate.

One can just feel the immense power between church and stat that resides in this cathedral
Jul 2019
Centuries upon centuries of so many religious, military and political figures are displayed in St. Paul's Cathedral. A testimony to the British Monarchy and how church and state controlled the UK and all the territories in its path. the epic stories engraved in the mausoleums were too much to take in during the hours we were there. This place deserves a second and third visit to soak up the history and the massive art works.

Be prepared for the crowds and the tour groups during the summer. Its easy to feel rushed.

Disgusted at the entrance price.
We took visitors from Canada to see the Cathedral and were disgusted at the £20 entrance price. For four people to have to pay £80 is a disgrace and opportunistic pricing by the Church Authorities. I recognise that they have to maintain the building but such pricing must detract from the number of visitors being welcomed into what should be an open church building. Yes by all means seek donations but not at the level being charged.
I was embarrassed that a public building in England is so money grabbing.
Needless to say we did not pay to enter and carried on with our tour.
Disgusted.

Why have you reviewed my tour and not St Pauls Cathedral itself? You did not come on my tour as we book the tickets for guests and go inside St Pauls with them Please remove the review

Stunning masterpiece. It’s 20 pounds to get in. If you appreciate architecture and design it’s worth it.

Exceptional Panoramic Views of London
Jul 2019
The cathedral main floor is beautiful, the crypt so-so, but the highlight is the climb to the dome. The climb is fun and the views across London from the top are exceptional. Our favorite moments and best pictures were all from the top of the cathedral.

The tour was made fun by our guide Charlotte. She is knowledgeable, fun, and resourceful. Even though our tour was interrupted by the state visit of Mr. Trump Charlotte insured our safety and enjoyment. Charlotte and others like her is why we book Viator.
